00:00Yeah, I think, you know, we definitely, there's a little pressure, we felt a little pressure, certainly more so than on the second movie, to really deliver something that felt, like, finales are always challenging, right? And they're pretty polarizing. Sometimes fans really get on board, sometimes they miss the mark.
00:16We felt we wanted to nail it. And I think once we got on set, we kind of forgot about all of that and just got lost in the joy of making the movie. But I'd be lying if I said we didn't shed a little tear as a group and our little group hug on the final, the final cut. After the final scene, we all had a big hug and it was pretty emotional. You know, we've been with this family for four years.
00:39Oh, I love that question. It felt epic. It felt, you know, daunting. It felt exciting. And it felt joyous to look across the room and see two of the most handsome men on television, staring into my eyes, questioning whether they made the right decision to make a movie with me was the biggest joy of my life. There's, you know, if you're in this life, if you can make good things with good people, you've done it.
01:06Well, I mean, the very first thing that came into my mind, the second, the idea of doing a third one was broached. I was like wrapping paper suits. I knew that because I knew that we needed an outfit. I knew that we needed something fun for our slow-mo.
01:21And I've been wanting to wear wrapping paper suits and something for a while. And I was thinking about, you know, how we would wear those after the movie posthumously and take photos with them. And I was like, I knew right away, I'm like, we need those for sure.
01:34We knew we wanted, you know, it's how do you sort of pay homage to the previous movies without doing the same thing twice or repeating those beats.
01:42And the challenge is, how do we incorporate some dancing into the movie without doing the same thing?
01:49Special scenes, we needed some really, you know, beautiful scenes with just the three brothers sharing all of their feelings, like total dum-dums.
01:57So we wrote those things in. We knew we wanted to give mom a big speech because Margaret is so extraordinary and mom needed to yell at somebody.
02:05So, and, you know, Kimberly is so extraordinary at writing everything Margaret, everything in general, but Margaret specifically.
02:15And so just things like that, we knew, you know, we knew we wanted some big set pieces.
02:19We knew we wanted to destroy some things and add characters we wanted to bring back.
02:24And, you know, I think we hit most of those marks.
