00:00:00Team that wins the block this year is obviously going to build a magnificent home, but they're
00:00:06going to have the best garden. Gardens are so important. Landscape wins the block. 100% mate.
00:00:14We know the task at hand, this week's going to be busy. And it is the biggest week of them all.
00:00:19This property is massive. Just the scale of this week is ginormous. You could arguably fit
00:00:25three previous block backyards into one of these places. It's unrealistic to think that you could
00:00:31landscape a total backyard in a week. It's landscape week. We've got lots to do. Big space. Big space
00:00:35means a lot of things that need to be done, which means a lot of money. I keep just saying any money
00:00:39you win is going to go into your landscape. Has anyone gone through the block and not won a room?
00:00:45Yep. We have not had a win yet. Thank you for pointing that out. We are going out with a bang.
00:00:51Even though some put plans in motion weeks ago, building a winning Dalesford backyard hasn't been
00:00:58a bed of roses. This was meant to be a fun week. There's been compliance issues. The fire
00:01:03player's not compliant. Concrete slab between the pool and the deck was too steep. This may have to
00:01:10be ripped up. This slab cost me 20 grand. Budget strains. Hold off until we work out how much we
00:01:17have to do it. We've already done it. We're going to make the most idyllic, beautiful Japanese zen garden. A lot of time and
00:01:24money. Neither of those we have. I'm not doing what everyone else is doing. I will do what I want to do.
00:01:30And it wouldn't be backyard week without a gift from the gods. And now it's officially landscaping week.
00:01:35Tonight. Step right up. Step right up. The greatest show on earth. It's the final push to backyard reveals. And there's no time for planning around.
00:01:45Do you reckon we're going to get it done? Fine. Done. A lot to do. A lot to do? Yeah. Go next door. That's a lot to do.
00:01:54But how will it all end?
00:01:58Joining the Ringmasters tonight is special guest and landscape guru, Dave Franklin.
00:02:03You're going to have a fantastic garden here and it's going to be hard to beat.
00:02:06But not everyone is on the bandwagon.
00:02:08I don't really like what I'm looking at.
00:02:09What is the purpose of that?
00:02:14I think this is a massive, massive error.
00:02:17It could be the only thing that turns a buyer off.
00:02:19And big secrets are revealed.
00:02:22But that's not all.
00:02:23Oh my gosh.
00:02:25Massive. Absolutely massive.
00:02:28Wide to our faces.
00:02:29Oh, you're going down in the last week, I tell you.
00:02:34Ah! Ah!
00:02:39Oh, dead.
00:02:53Too much to do, I suppose.
00:03:00It is the biggest week of them all.
00:03:02It's landscaping week.
00:03:03Yep, you heard it right.
00:03:05This week is the biggest week of them all.
00:03:07Because with each backyard measuring over a thousand feet,
00:03:09a thousand square metres, it's literally the biggest area
00:03:12our blockheads have had to finish this season.
00:03:15Essentially from the back doors of the rumpus.
00:03:18Rumpus and the back bedroom.
00:03:19Back.
00:03:20So that includes pool area.
00:03:22Cold plunge and hot plunge.
00:03:23Paving around it.
00:03:25Pool cabana.
00:03:26What's it called?
00:03:27Well, we're not sure if it's a cabana or a cabana.
00:03:33Cabana.
00:03:34Cabana.
00:03:35It's definitely cabana.
00:03:36Cabana.
00:03:36In Adelaide, a cabana is a meat stick.
00:03:46And for those who know Matt...
00:03:47No.
00:03:48Everyone's got a big sausage in their backyard.
00:03:52Oh, we just call it a pool house.
00:03:54Straight to the pool house, Duff.
00:03:55Yeah.
00:03:56Pool house.
00:03:57It's very us, isn't it?
00:03:58Pool house.
00:03:58Yeah.
00:03:58And you can bet your bottom dollar, our teams have a long list of features going in their
00:04:03backyards to help stand out from the rest and win ten grand for their front yard next
00:04:09week.
00:04:12Look at that.
00:04:14Matt and I believe landscaping week is probably one of the most important weeks.
00:04:19And if you win landscaping week, you've got a really good crack at taking home the competition.
00:04:2624 hours to go.
00:04:28We will be using every single minute of those 24 hours.
00:04:31We've never done a pool cabana.
00:04:33We've never built a cellar.
00:04:34We've never landscaped to this scale.
00:04:37Hardest week by a country mile.
00:04:39Predominantly because of the big setback we had when we had to pull up the concrete slab.
00:04:43Ah yes, that was a massive concrete slab that joined the feature deck stairs to the pool
00:04:50area.
00:04:50Ten mil over a hundred mil.
00:04:52That's like five times the limit.
00:04:54Like it's steep.
00:04:54This may have to be ripped up.
00:05:00Yeah, the concrete skate ramp that had to be deleted really lost us about two days.
00:05:05Or probably more because by the time that we had to like put the new retaining wall in,
00:05:09that only happened yesterday.
00:05:10Putting this retaining wall in and Colin goes, get rid of this retaining wall.
00:05:15And I want to put grass.
00:05:16It comes over.
00:05:17He's not joking.
00:05:18Are you not joking?
00:05:19No.
00:05:20I know.
00:05:20I was like, are you serious?
00:05:23Like we've just spent four days putting this in.
00:05:26I know there's a lot of work, but it's the ugliest thing I've ever seen.
00:05:29I couldn't, I didn't know what to do.
00:05:32So I was like, oh, we'll wait till Em comes back and she can decide.
00:05:35Holy doly.
00:05:36We're trying to work out the ugliest retaining wall.
00:05:39The ugliest retaining wall.
00:05:39I've ever seen you guys build.
00:05:41What's the game plan?
00:05:42Just shovel dirt?
00:05:43We're going to make that flat for you.
00:05:45Yep.
00:05:46And then you're going to have some stairs there.
00:05:47Yep.
00:05:48And I want to put grass that comes over.
00:05:50Yep.
00:05:51It looks epic.
00:05:52Let me go find a spade.
00:05:53And you just said, yeah, go for it.
00:05:54I don't really care.
00:05:56Colin's the designer and he knows what's going to look good.
00:05:58So we had dirt, then we had concrete, and now we have dirt again.
00:06:02Now the dirt's going over the retaining wall.
00:06:04So we're going to have the grass roll over it.
00:06:06Still serving its purpose.
00:06:07It's still retaining everything.
00:06:09But we've just got a thin layer of soil over the top, which the grass will roll over.
00:06:14So that's the retaining wall finally sorted.
00:06:17Now how about those other pressure points?
00:06:20The cellar is so far off, and pool cabana, the shell's there.
00:06:26I'm finished.
00:06:26It's got a sauna in there, it's got tiles, and that's it.
00:06:30They're pretty screwed.
00:06:32I think just the stress of trying to put a cellar in as well is really tricky.
00:06:36And we obviously want to try and do a really great job like the boys did.
00:06:40So we're comparing ourselves to them, which is hard when they get three tens.
00:06:45But the block's hardest working tilers, the Curcio's, have agreed to tile the cellar floor.
00:06:50Yeah, the Curcio brothers have come to save us.
00:06:53Save the day!
00:06:54This week, with Sonny and Alicia's permission...
00:07:01What, are you painting the rocks on?
00:07:02Fantastic.
00:07:03No, you're going to be gluing the rocks on.
00:07:06...Curcio times three have been spreading the love across the block, working in four of the five houses.
00:07:13Are you ready for the circus?
00:07:15Are you ready?
00:07:16They're ready to go now.
00:07:17The wine cellar needed sanding this morning, so Plasterer did that quickly.
00:07:22And then the Curcio brothers came and helped out with some tiling.
00:07:27Start at that end and work our way down.
00:07:28House One can take out this week, but they've got to finish their cellar.
00:07:32And that's the big issue we've got at the moment.
00:07:33Everything outside that wine cellar is looking amazing.
00:07:36They've got the gnome.
00:07:38I'm going, who's this hairy dune on it?
00:07:41I'm like...
00:07:41They need that wine cellar finished.
00:07:47Next door in House Two, Han and Ken are also getting a helping hand from Han's dad, Lee.
00:07:54I'll clean these and we'll just grout it in.
00:07:56Yeah.
00:07:57They're going for a Japanese-style garden designed by their landscaper, Christian.
00:08:01But with little money in the budget and less manpower, it's anything but zen.
00:08:06There's a lot to do still.
00:08:08Probably furthest behind.
00:08:09We need the pool fence to go in.
00:08:11We need to clean the pool, fill the pool.
00:08:13Obviously the rain yesterday didn't help.
00:08:15I'm tiling the cabana, trying to clean the cabana, grout the cabana, paint the cabana.
00:08:22I've got to go pick up furniture.
00:08:24There's boxes all through the driveway.
00:08:26It's a lot to do.
00:08:27A real lot to do.
00:08:29Do you need a hand with your tiling?
00:08:32Han should be helping her.
00:08:33Who?
00:08:33She's painting inside.
00:08:34We need help out here.
00:08:35We'll be right, Dan.
00:08:37You sure?
00:08:37Yep.
00:08:38I've heard that before.
00:08:39Okay.
00:08:41Oh, look, this is just poor time management right now.
00:08:43This is what this is.
00:08:44I can't see them finishing today.
00:08:46I really can't.
00:08:48Priorities are not where they should be.
00:08:50We're focusing off too much in there.
00:08:52We're just going to paint it or leave it and just come out here and get out here looking good.
00:08:56There's no point in having a pool cabana if we can't get water in the pool.
00:08:58It's always a good sign when the pressure washer comes out, isn't it?
00:09:13We're nearing the end. Feeling good.
00:09:16We've managed our trades well, and we're in a really good spot.
00:09:20Obviously, we have all this land, but we're so lucky
00:09:22because we have this huge seven-and-a-half-ton fireplace
00:09:25and then an 18-by-eight pickleball court.
00:09:28So that takes up a lot of real estate in our backyard.
00:09:31So winning that was a great thing.
00:09:34Now that it's all come to life, like, it's pretty emotional looking at it.
00:09:37I can't be happier, to be honest. I wouldn't change a thing.
00:09:39Well done, lads. There's the hen in the house.
00:09:41Thank you. She's getting there.
00:09:43What's that? Who's that?
00:09:44The hell? Oh, it's my husband.
00:09:45Wowee.
00:09:46Hello, Chris the plumber.
00:09:48Hello, hello.
00:09:49How are you?
00:09:50Now, that shower head is all good to go and to pick up from Howard Street Rees.
00:09:55All right. Thanks, mate.
00:09:56Appreciate it. I'll talk to you.
00:09:59He pretty just asked me to be his boyfriend, so I might, whatever.
00:10:02Like, stop calling me all the time.
00:10:06Sonny and Alicia are yet to win a room,
00:10:08and with only two more chances up for grabs,
00:10:10they could make block history and be the first ever couple to go home without a win.
00:10:15We're on the podium.
00:10:16We're either second or third, and just can't seem to get that win.
00:10:20This week they're going all out with a family-friendly backyard,
00:10:23and they're the only ones with a fully self-contained pool cabana.
00:10:27Are we going to finish?
00:10:28Yes, we are.
00:10:29100% going to finish.
00:10:30We always finish.
00:10:31We're not going to let it down on the 11th week.
00:10:33We're in a good spot today.
00:10:34The boys went hard yesterday.
00:10:35They planted every single one of these trees yesterday,
00:10:38and so to do that meant that they could pretty much turf today.
00:10:42How do you feel about the space?
00:10:44Do you think you're in the running?
00:10:45Oh, listen.
00:10:46We could be in.
00:10:47We could be out.
00:10:49We could be in with three 10s and someone will get three 11s,
00:10:52so we'll come second again.
00:10:55Stone and Lisa!
00:10:57Stone and Lisa!
00:10:59Stone and Lisa!
00:11:00Stone and Lisa!
00:11:01It's a work of art!
00:11:06I think for us we've put such a high importance on landscaping.
00:11:11From day one we said kitchen and backyard landscaping is our number one priority.
00:11:16And it's safe to say that after weeks of planning,
00:11:19Britt and Tays are throwing everything they've got at securing a win this week.
00:11:23There was nothing else we could do.
00:11:25Because we asked, we said, what else should we do?
00:11:27How do we elevate this?
00:11:28And Troy's gone, we cannot.
00:11:30Like, we've got a creek running through the backyard.
00:11:32We've got all the amenities you need.
00:11:34You've got your spa, saunas, ice baths, fruit orchard.
00:11:38Greenhouse, chicken coop.
00:11:39A massive fireplace, all stone cladded.
00:11:42It's a statement piece of our backyard.
00:11:44It's a hero.
00:11:45There is just the one case of the flu.
00:11:48Ah, yes, that issue with the fireplace flu.
00:11:51You've got to be 300mm above the roof line.
00:11:54We can't build the chimney out of bricks that high.
00:11:57It's just not going to be structurally stable.
00:11:59100%.
00:12:00So the question is, do we get a flu made up?
00:12:03More about the flu later.
00:12:05This morning, Taz's mind is elsewhere.
00:12:08You're all very quiet today.
00:12:10Yeah, my brother's getting married today.
00:12:12So...
00:12:13You know when you come on the show, these are like one of the many sacrifices that you make.
00:12:19So this was one of them.
00:12:24You know, you go three months without your kids, you miss birthdays, weddings, funerals.
00:12:30All of it for this.
00:12:31You can walk away with nothing.
00:12:34We're very family first people, Brit and I.
00:12:40So it's a little bit flattening, but this is the biggest day for us on the block.
00:12:43This Saturday is our everything, so...
00:12:45Hey!
00:12:46Hey!
00:12:47Hey!
00:12:48Hey, mate.
00:12:49How are you?
00:12:50Hello.
00:12:51Looking good, mate.
00:12:52Looking very smart.
00:12:53Looking really good.
00:12:54Hey, Dad, how are you?
00:12:58Well, you're up, man.
00:12:59Yeah.
00:13:00We dressed up for the occasion.
00:13:01Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:13:02Real sharp, man.
00:13:03Real sharp.
00:13:04Sorry we can't be there today, mate.
00:13:05You look unreal.
00:13:06I hope you have a real good day.
00:13:08We're very proud of you.
00:13:09And, yeah, I'm glad Carter and Mila can be there for us and, you know, watch you go down.
00:13:14No worries.
00:13:15Thanks very much.
00:13:16Thanks for the call.
00:13:17He gets it.
00:13:18He loves his show.
00:13:19He loves, you know, he's a landscaper.
00:13:21So we're in landscape week, so it's going to be fitting, I reckon.
00:13:24No, he would have, you know, we would have loved to have him down here.
00:13:27He would have been here.
00:13:28When you win, I'll see you back here.
00:13:30Wedding present would want to be good, I'd tell you that much.
00:13:32Well, you could have your wedding here, I reckon.
00:13:35Yeah, it's beautiful.
00:13:36Yeah, it looks really good.
00:13:37You're doing really well.
00:13:38Thanks, mate.
00:13:39All right.
00:13:40Proud of you, mate.
00:13:41Take care.
00:13:42All right.
00:13:43Speak to you later.
00:13:44See you, Chris.
00:13:45Bye.
00:13:46Just so proud of him.
00:13:47You know, the family he's created and we just, we wish he could be a part of it because
00:13:52it's so important to us family, but, um, yeah, we know.
00:13:55We know how important it is to be here and I'm just glad our kids are there for us as well.
00:14:05Got me crying.
00:14:06You just, yeah.
00:14:07You wish you could be there, but, no, we're here for a reason.
00:14:12It's, yeah, it's hot.
00:14:19It's Saturday afternoon and all our blockheads are busy racing to complete their backyards
00:14:37by 9am tomorrow morning.
00:14:38Ah.
00:14:39Well, most of them.
00:14:40This is a life.
00:14:41Today and today only.
00:14:42Folks, step right up, step right up.
00:14:44The greatest show on earth.
00:14:46Yeah, the curzios are here.
00:14:47The circus is in town.
00:14:48A bit stressed out that we hadn't ordered enough files.
00:14:49Yeah.
00:14:50It turns out we ordered one too many.
00:14:51Well, lucky we didn't make a mistake.
00:14:52Oh, no.
00:14:53No, no.
00:14:54No, no.
00:14:55No, no.
00:14:56No, no.
00:14:57No, no.
00:14:58No, no.
00:14:59No, no.
00:15:00No, no.
00:15:01No, no.
00:15:02No, no.
00:15:03No, no.
00:15:04No, no.
00:15:05No, no.
00:15:06No, no.
00:15:07No, no.
00:15:08No, no.
00:15:09No, no.
00:15:10No, no.
00:15:11No, no.
00:15:12No, no.
00:15:13No, no.
00:15:14No, no.
00:15:15No, no.
00:15:16Very lucky.
00:15:17We couldn't make any errors.
00:15:18Lucky we had the best boys in the biz on.
00:15:20Yeah.
00:15:27Normally a Saturday comes around and we are styling by afternoon, night time.
00:15:32Not this week?
00:15:33No.
00:15:34No.
00:15:35It was dire.
00:15:36Benji's going to plug along with the salad and I'm going to focus on the pork cabana.
00:15:39I think I'd given up on the salad.
00:15:41Yeah.
00:15:42What do you reckon?
00:15:43Do you reckon we're going to get it done?
00:15:44Define done.
00:15:45In House 3, the High Pages stonemasons, the help of the Curcios, have performed a block miracle
00:15:55and have finished recladding Britt and Taz's Statement fireplace in record time.
00:16:00I believe in miracles.
00:16:02It looks amazing.
00:16:03And they're making good progress in their cabana.
00:16:04Getting there.
00:16:05Look at that.
00:16:06It's beautiful.
00:16:07Commissioned for us by local artists.
00:16:08Nice.
00:16:09We have a beautiful custom Graphico from a local Jar Jar artist.
00:16:17So that's going to be the hero of the room.
00:16:20We're also doing the home pro installation of curtains on the ceiling like we've done in
00:16:24the wellness room.
00:16:25Just to keep that flow, keep that continuity.
00:16:27This is where you tie everything together, isn't it?
00:16:29Yeah.
00:16:30With your wellness area and that room that you wouldn't budge on.
00:16:33You have one living space and that's it and it will impact them on the market.
00:16:39We love it.
00:16:40We love the room.
00:16:41We don't want to change it.
00:16:42We don't want to change it.
00:16:43We knew the vision of what that whole space is going to be.
00:16:46The reformer room, the ice bath, the hot tub, the sauna.
00:16:50You've got other sitting areas, you're going to have the pool cabana.
00:16:53I mean, for us we're the wellness house so it's now starting to make sense.
00:16:57Why the long face?
00:16:58A lot to do.
00:16:59A lot to do?
00:17:00Yeah.
00:17:01Go next door.
00:17:02That's a lot to do.
00:17:03Who's there?
00:17:04Who's there?
00:17:05That's a lot to do.
00:17:08You're in a really good spot.
00:17:10You're stressing about the flu.
00:17:15The chimney needs to be a certain height relevant to the distance to the house.
00:17:21As the chimney is very close to the house, it needs to be built up past the height of the roof for it to be compliant.
00:17:28But bricks that high are a structural issue.
00:17:30So Britt and Taz need to add a steel cylinder flue to reach regulation height.
00:17:36We've got to put a scap up.
00:17:37Put a scap up.
00:17:38And then put a flue in.
00:17:39And then put the scap down.
00:17:40That's tomorrow morning.
00:17:41That's tomorrow's job.
00:17:42The only installation time they have is 7am on Sunday.
00:17:46I'm pushing it.
00:17:48Oh yeah.
00:17:49You just want to be in the race.
00:17:50You're in the race.
00:17:51Yep.
00:17:52I can tell you right now.
00:17:53You're in it.
00:17:54Thanks Dad.
00:17:55I've just wished, I've wished since the beginning, I've wished for a Saturday where we were just like polishing and priming and styling.
00:18:11We were just a day ahead.
00:18:12Everything was done.
00:18:13I'm yet to have that day on the block.
00:18:18Pool 13 up.
00:18:20Pool tiles not complete.
00:18:23The cabanas not anywhere near complete.
00:18:26Tiles still need to be done.
00:18:27No paint on.
00:18:28No.
00:18:29How's your day going Matt?
00:18:30Yeah.
00:18:31It's been a lovely day to be honest.
00:18:32Now I have a night making furniture.
00:18:33Hardcore landscaping is completely done.
00:18:34Which is a huge plus.
00:18:35But there's still this other factor of making that landscaping look good by styling.
00:18:49How the **** does this even work?
00:18:52I was putting together flat pat furniture and House 3's landscaper came in through our back door and he goes,
00:19:01Hey mate.
00:19:02Hello.
00:19:03How you going?
00:19:04Good.
00:19:05Now Paul knows I'm coming to have a look.
00:19:06Okay.
00:19:07I'd prefer if you didn't though.
00:19:08Oh it's okay.
00:19:09I'm mates with Paul.
00:19:10Who's our landscaper.
00:19:11And I said, no thank you.
00:19:13That is a snake move.
00:19:16Not having it.
00:19:17He can come through and have a look after judging.
00:19:20But Taz and Britt are our biggest competition.
00:19:23We had the fire going, we were doing all the styling.
00:19:26If he comes out there and goes, they've got their fire lit.
00:19:29They're going to be doing this.
00:19:30They've got this on their table.
00:19:32You know, they could see what we're doing.
00:19:34They could get an upper hand.
00:19:35So I said, sorry mate.
00:19:37Back to House 3.
00:19:38He's the boss.
00:19:39It's his house.
00:19:40You can see who's allowed in and who's allowed out.
00:19:42So I said, no worries.
00:19:43Turned around and came back.
00:19:45He wasn't thrilled with it.
00:19:46I could tell by the look on his face.
00:19:48But you know, I'd rather, I'd rather win.
00:19:52So then we found a trampoline.
00:19:54There's no one in there.
00:20:01Looks good.
00:20:02Yeah, it looks okay.
00:20:03You know what?
00:20:04He looked at our backyard and said, let's go have a look at theirs.
00:20:06Lots of arbors, they look like matchsticks.
00:20:09After seeing that, we thought, it's a perfect opportunity to play hide and seek.
00:20:14We wouldn't call it hide and seek, we call it peekaboo.
00:20:17What can you see, mate?
00:20:18A Japanese garden.
00:20:19A Japanese arbor.
00:20:20We'll just have a little look every time.
00:20:21I can see bricks.
00:20:22A brick thing.
00:20:23I can see a pool.
00:20:24And there's Ben.
00:20:25Hey Ben.
00:20:26We didn't get to see too much, to be honest.
00:20:27Everyone's got a beautiful yard.
00:20:28We're going to be biased and say ours is the most beautiful and ours is the best.
00:20:43She's bloody looking good.
00:20:44Afternoon Delight.
00:20:45Sky rockets in flight.
00:20:46Afternoon Delight.
00:20:47Afternoon Delight.
00:20:48Afternoon Delight.
00:20:49How are you feeling, mate?
00:21:05Yeah, I just feel like it's just slipping away a little bit actually.
00:21:09Yeah.
00:21:10What do you do?
00:21:11It's a beautiful garden.
00:21:12Absolutely.
00:21:13Yeah.
00:21:14It's a beautiful garden.
00:21:15We're proud of it, but we'll just give it our best shot.
00:21:20You might love the garden, but is it going to get done?
00:21:24I don't know.
00:21:25Never ending story.
00:21:26Will it ever get done?
00:21:28I love a flat pack.
00:21:43Everyone knows lesbians love a flat pack.
00:21:46Read up on it.
00:21:47I didn't know about it and I'm a lesbian, so I don't know how that works out.
00:21:54Oh.
00:21:55You mustn't be a real lesbian.
00:21:56Do you believe in block magic?
00:21:57Block magic?
00:21:58Yeah.
00:21:59It's a miracle.
00:22:00It's inspiring because everyone was just keen to see it finished.
00:22:14What a team, huh?
00:22:15Oh, yeah.
00:22:16You guys have honestly saved us.
00:22:19That's what you knew.
00:22:20That's what you realised.
00:22:21Everyone had bought in.
00:22:22Everyone had bought into the dream of actually finishing this and it required us both to believe
00:22:30it for everyone else to as well.
00:22:32Yeah.
00:22:33Well, I reckon you've got a chance to get three tens.
00:22:35Pretty epic, isn't it?
00:22:36The only thing I think you're missing is some dry prosciutto up here.
00:22:40If you had some dry prosciutto, I reckon you'd get a ten.
00:22:43Any prosciutto shops open at this hour?
00:22:44I'm not sure, but if you don't get your hands on it, it definitely won't be a ten.
00:22:49Good morning, Leigh.
00:22:50Oh, good morning.
00:22:51Good morning.
00:22:52Think I might have pushed my luck until I want you.
00:22:55Everything about us is what gets me through.
00:23:12Oh, good going.
00:23:14Phenomenal.
00:23:15We have to just get everything all sorted and pretty.
00:23:19And I like being sorted and pretty.
00:23:21It's all about selling the dream.
00:23:27We're trying to sell the dream, so we need to put the flute in the fireplace.
00:23:32We really want, really, really want to start that fire.
00:23:36It's a beautiful backyard.
00:23:37We couldn't, like, there's nothing we'd change about it.
00:23:39We're just going to do all the little extras now, clean, style, get that bloody flute on,
00:23:44and then we're laughing.
00:23:45Get the what on?
00:23:46The flute.
00:23:47Would you look at that!
00:23:51Considering what that wine cell was only 12 hours ago, you just wouldn't think it's possible.
00:24:05Girl on a mission.
00:24:06Jeez.
00:24:07Five thousand steps this morning alone.
00:24:08Love it.
00:24:09Love it a million.
00:24:10I love this backyard.
00:24:11I actually, like, I love this backyard.
00:24:12You can imagine having a big party on there, too.
00:24:13Say whoever buys it.
00:24:14We're coming to Christmas.
00:24:15It's not a catwalk.
00:24:16It's not a catwalk.
00:24:17Yeah, I think it's safe to say that we're going to win this week.
00:24:22How are you, Christian?
00:24:23Me?
00:24:24Yeah.
00:24:25Pfft.
00:24:26Couldn't be better.
00:24:27How are you, Christian?
00:24:31Me?
00:24:32Yeah.
00:24:33Couldn't be better.
00:24:38Yeah.
00:24:39They are.
00:24:40Good.
00:24:41They are.
00:24:42Bad.
00:24:43To the beach.
00:24:44Oh, yeah.
00:24:45I'm gonna win this week.
00:24:46Oh, yeah.
00:24:47You're gonna win this week.
00:24:48Oh, yeah.
00:24:49I'm gonna win this week.
00:24:50How are you, Christian?
00:24:51Me?
00:24:52Yeah.
00:24:53Pfft.
00:24:54It couldn't be better.
00:24:56Ha-ha.
00:25:01Yeah.
00:25:02I'm good.
00:25:03To the beach out, to the beach out, to the beach out, to the beach out, to the beach out.
00:25:10One minute, Lee.
00:25:12Hallelujah.
00:25:13Time's light and fire.
00:25:15Hello.
00:25:16Come on.
00:25:1820 seconds to go.
00:25:20Quick.
00:25:21Fast.
00:25:22Fast.
00:25:23Ten seconds.
00:25:24God.
00:25:27Tools down!
00:25:30Tools down.
00:25:32Good job.
00:25:33Good job.
00:25:34I'm cutting it.
00:25:35Well done.
00:25:36Yay!
00:25:37You did it.
00:25:39That's the biggest week of our lives.
00:25:42Team hug.
00:25:43You guessed it.
00:25:44Well done, Gilles.
00:25:45Well done, Dad.
00:25:47That's David.
00:25:48Oh, you did it!
00:25:49Oh!
00:25:50Is it cold?
00:25:52Yes!
00:25:53Oh, it's crazy!
00:25:56Woo!
00:25:57Will we be seeing the secret gnome tonight?
00:26:01The secret gnome's going to be dropped tonight.
00:26:04Oh, ho, ho, ho!
00:26:11Good morning, everybody!
00:26:12Morning!
00:26:13Morning!
00:26:14Morning!
00:26:15Morning!
00:26:16Another beautiful morning in Dales.
00:26:18It's a perfect day for a room reveal.
00:26:21Now, I suppose you're wondering why I brought Darren here this morning.
00:26:24Well, I cannot drive two cars at the same time.
00:26:27And I'm also thinking that you're asking, what is this?
00:26:32Wow!
00:26:33Well, this is the brand-new MGU9.
00:26:37It's their very own ute.
00:26:39Hey!
00:26:40Hi!
00:26:41It is a 2.5-litre turbo diesel.
00:26:43It's got 3.5-tonne towing capacity.
00:26:46It's their very first ute, and it's an absolute ripper.
00:26:50Oh, it's nice.
00:26:51Darren, of course, is driving the latest version of the Super Hybrid that you've been driving these past couple of weeks.
00:26:58And guess what?
00:26:59What?
00:27:01You could win both these cars next week.
00:27:05Oh, my goodness.
00:27:07That is correct.
00:27:08The winner of Front Yard and Front Facade Week will win both these cars.
00:27:13The ute going straight in your driveway to sell with your homes,
00:27:17and the Super Hybrid ready for you to jump in and drive all the way home to keep for yourselves.
00:27:23Two MGs.
00:27:24My gosh.
00:27:25Massive.
00:27:26Absolutely massive.
00:27:27Oh, my gosh.
00:27:28Do I want these cars?
00:27:30Amazing.
00:27:31Incredible.
00:27:32So your final week just got real.
00:27:35Wow.
00:27:36Absolutely it did.
00:27:37Now, for you guys, it's tools down right now, but for these guys and the judges, it's tools up.
00:27:57All right.
00:27:58Go on up again.
00:28:00Hello.
00:28:01Hey, Scotty.
00:28:03Wow.
00:28:04Hello, Scotty.
00:28:05Very spectacular.
00:28:06Everybody.
00:28:07Scotty.
00:28:08Oh, mate.
00:28:09What about the lavender suit?
00:28:10You're welcome.
00:28:11Good evening, everybody.
00:28:12Hello, Scotty.
00:28:13Hello, Scotty.
00:28:14Hello, Scotty.
00:28:15Hello, Scotty.
00:28:16Hello, Scotty.
00:28:17Hello, Scotty.
00:28:18Very spectacular.
00:28:19Everybody.
00:28:20Got it.
00:28:21Oh, mate.
00:28:22What about the lavender suit?
00:28:25You're welcome.
00:28:27Good evening, everybody.
00:28:28Hello, Scotty.
00:28:29Well, that was epic, wasn't it?
00:28:32You've got to love Backyard Week.
00:28:35Absolutely outstanding.
00:28:38Well done, everybody.
00:28:39Round of applause.
00:28:42Let's head to some feedback and find out who's going to take home the last $10,000 from MG.
00:28:49Em and Ben.
00:28:56Week 11 was probably our worst week on the block.
00:28:59Worst, as in?
00:29:00Most challenging.
00:29:01Yeah.
00:29:02It was just really, really hard.
00:29:03It was full on.
00:29:06We are the winner!
00:29:07Yes!
00:29:08We won a sauna.
00:29:10You won a sauna.
00:29:11I did f***ing four.
00:29:15Boy, we got a wine cellar.
00:29:20Just the scale of this week's room reveal is ginormous.
00:29:24The plan is we've got to do this whole backyard.
00:29:28Just doing an added little bonus room of a cellar.
00:29:30We've got a pretty incredible design that's been created by our landscape.
00:29:34I'm Em.
00:29:35Hi, I'm Colin.
00:29:36Colin really wanted to incorporate the borrowed landscape.
00:29:39Just, what was it?
00:29:40The rolling hills of Dalesford.
00:29:41Yeah.
00:29:42And the other thing will probably be the tree selection.
00:29:45We're replanting Dalesford.
00:29:46Oh, it looks like we're going to have to lose all this paving.
00:29:52What?
00:29:53The bit between the deck and the pool is too steep.
00:29:57So we have to get rid of all that concrete.
00:30:04Tuscan path pavers that we have here are probably going to suit the style that you're looking for.
00:30:09Kind of like how organic looking these ones are.
00:30:11I will take 50 please.
00:30:15The retaining wall's taken a lot longer than we'd hoped.
00:30:19Put the posts in so that sleepers could go in the next day.
00:30:24Colin said to me.
00:30:26I really want to get rid of this retaining wall.
00:30:28Are you serious?
00:30:29Like we've just spent four days putting this in.
00:30:31I think if you'd asked us at the start of the week how this space is going to look.
00:30:37The answer would be completely different to how the space looks right now.
00:30:41It's all for the better.
00:30:42Like how this is all shaping up looks incredible.
00:30:45And I'm, I mean, I'm so happy with it.
00:30:47Yeah, I think the end outcome looks great.
00:30:50Cause you were amazing.
00:30:55We did amazing things.
00:31:00I've been changing.
00:31:05Cause we were amazing.
00:31:10Oh, look at this magnificent.
00:31:13Oh, wow.
00:31:14Look at this magnificent.
00:31:15You got your money down.
00:31:19That's great.
00:31:21Well, hang on.
00:31:22We now have Dave Franklin with us.
00:31:24The expert on the landscaping.
00:31:27You can tell us what the plants are and not Marty.
00:31:31Everything's a fire to silly eye.
00:31:35Dave Franklin told the others about your landscape designer.
00:31:39The artist Colin Hyatt.
00:31:41Yeah.
00:31:42He's not just a landscape designer.
00:31:43He's actually an artist, okay.
00:31:45So when he's designing this here,
00:31:47it's picking up the colors from the cedar trees,
00:31:49which you see over to the left here.
00:31:51But where we're standing here is basically designed as an amphitheater
00:31:54to look out at Daleswood.
00:31:56Oh, but this is a grandstand for family memories and portraits and photos.
00:32:00And Shayna, I can imagine you standing on the deck and singing and...
00:32:04Stop me.
00:32:05Just stop me.
00:32:06I am about to.
00:32:07Don't love the undulating form of the landscape throughout.
00:32:14And the Tuscan path stepping stones.
00:32:17Obviously, this is what Colin's done.
00:32:18So he's obviously mimicking the, you know, what Daleswood's about.
00:32:21And that's the rolling hills.
00:32:22And that's what you're seeing in the landscape through here.
00:32:24Yes.
00:32:25Is that what he said to you?
00:32:26Yeah.
00:32:27That was the brief.
00:32:28Landscape was the term of use.
00:32:29Basically, 80% is native here.
00:32:32Very sustainable as well.
00:32:33We've got some beautiful Sheaake pines up the back there.
00:32:36And they are already two and a half, three metres tall.
00:32:38I'm expecting at least another half a metre by the time it comes auction time.
00:32:41You know what?
00:32:42You're going to have a fantastic garden here.
00:32:44It's going to be hard to beat.
00:32:47Shayna then spotted a fruit orchard.
00:32:48They headed over and they think the fire pit is well placed.
00:32:52How great is this for a little sitting spot?
00:32:54Get the marshmallows out.
00:32:55Beautiful.
00:32:56Because you can see the pool.
00:32:57You can see the deck.
00:32:58You can see everything around here.
00:33:00I think this position is beautiful.
00:33:02Yeah.
00:33:04And it's great to have a citrus garden for sustainability.
00:33:07Not to mention the ready availability of delicious fruit.
00:33:12Talking of sustainability, the runoff from the gutters runs into that Kingspan tank
00:33:16and then that feeds the irrigation.
00:33:18Boom.
00:33:19Done.
00:33:20Thinking of your domain listing, Marty thinks there's a great hero shot
00:33:25looking back at the house which takes in the pool and the cabana.
00:33:29That is the hero shot showing such a unique house on this season.
00:33:34I think this is going to be one of the hardest houses to beat
00:33:38in terms of how relative it is to the natural environment.
00:33:41This here just screams Dalesford because you can see it in the foreground.
00:33:46And around the pool, Dave Franklin thinks the brown Little Hampton Brick is a great choice.
00:33:51Works in perfectly with the mulch, works perfectly with the landscape, you know.
00:33:55So I think it's a winner.
00:33:56Into the cellar.
00:33:57Into the cellar.
00:34:03No way.
00:34:04Oh.
00:34:06Oh.
00:34:11Wow.
00:34:12Geez, isn't this strategic from Emma and Ben?
00:34:16They've got a full wine cellar.
00:34:17They've got a full wine cellar.
00:34:19Darren thinks the PGH Stone is stunning.
00:34:22It's that natural environment, colour palette, materials palette, relates to the outside,
00:34:28relates to the landscape and it just feels really right for Dalesford.
00:34:33Well, this is their answer.
00:34:34We are in a real estate competition.
00:34:36This is adding value to the buyers.
00:34:39And after seeing house five cellar, this is the perfect chess move.
00:34:46Checkmate is what you're hoping for, I'll bet.
00:34:48Yeah.
00:34:50These guys are damn good players.
00:34:53They're back in the game.
00:34:56There are five great houses, two with very substantial wine cellars.
00:35:03And this one feels like you're at a cellar door.
00:35:07That is a million dollar view.
00:35:09I was going to say, this is blowing my mind.
00:35:11It's something that I should be designing my landscapes from now on.
00:35:15I think this is just a massive tick.
00:35:21Shona agrees.
00:35:22The whole space is beautifully presented.
00:35:25And it wasn't even close when she visited on Friday.
00:35:29No.
00:35:30It was very far.
00:35:31Oh, yeah.
00:35:32Look what they've done and styled to perfection that they've even decanted the wine.
00:35:37And can I just say also, Emma is 18 weeks pregnant.
00:35:43It's incredible.
00:35:44It really is.
00:35:45Power to the women.
00:35:46Yes, mate.
00:35:47So good.
00:35:49Finally to the cabana, Darren noted the solar panels on the roof.
00:35:53The solar panels as the roof.
00:35:55Geez, that's smart.
00:35:56That is so great.
00:35:57I love the form too.
00:35:59And the fact that that's printed.
00:36:01It's beautiful.
00:36:02Incredible.
00:36:04Inside they found some smart thinking.
00:36:06Geez, that's smart building in the Steam Saunas Australia.
00:36:10Yeah.
00:36:11You get access to the view.
00:36:13Wow, that's amazing.
00:36:14Who would have thought?
00:36:15Wow.
00:36:16Ben and Emma were going to put a couch in here.
00:36:18And we were saying, you're coming from the sauna, the pool, just a bench.
00:36:22Smart.
00:36:23And I thought this was tiles and that's just...
00:36:25It's wallpaper.
00:36:26Not stuck down wallpaper.
00:36:30Yeah.
00:36:31Darren thinks the basin is heaven.
00:36:34Shona added, the whole space is heaven.
00:36:38I just love how luxury it feels.
00:36:40And there's so many layers of luxury here.
00:36:44That is what will capture the buyers.
00:36:46And when they see this online, this will jump through the screen.
00:36:50This is prime location.
00:36:52It's easy to live in.
00:36:54It's easy to entertain in.
00:36:55And it's easy on the eye because it's so beautiful.
00:36:58Why would you ever leave?
00:36:59It's lifestyle.
00:37:00It was incredible.
00:37:01Okay, we need to leave because we've got four more of these.
00:37:03Wow.
00:37:04What a start.
00:37:05Well done, Emma.
00:37:06Ben.
00:37:07Well done.
00:37:11That was great.
00:37:21It's time for you to decide which contestants you think have created this week's winning outdoor space.
00:37:27Just head to the Block website now to cast your vote.
00:37:30And don't miss the results a little later in the show.
00:37:35Okay, house two, Han and Kang.
00:37:44This week was just joyous.
00:37:47Joy, flow, zen.
00:37:50You are so full of .
00:37:55Before we even came to the Block, we decided we were going to do a Japanese-inspired garden with Christian Jenkins.
00:38:01Keep calm and drink tea.
00:38:04He's an absolute legend at doing very Japanese zen gardens.
00:38:09The rocks are pretty cool.
00:38:11You know how I got those rocks delivered next door?
00:38:13Yeah.
00:38:15And I still had a few to get around here.
00:38:17Yeah, you still had like four or five.
00:38:19He used them in the garden.
00:38:22Our point of difference to the landscape is these rocks.
00:38:24Okay.
00:38:25And now they're in your landscape.
00:38:26Thing is, we were lovely enough to be able to store your rocks for you guys.
00:38:30Yeah.
00:38:31The deal was we would have the rocks there until the end of that day.
00:38:34Yeah, that's right.
00:38:35And they're actually still there.
00:38:36I think if anything, we've been doing you guys a favour.
00:38:39We disagree to disagree and we get on with it.
00:38:43We spent our full $15,000 in Freedom Furniture.
00:38:48And then in our pool cabana, I want to do like a curved lounge.
00:38:52See, I love this side table too.
00:38:53And then the little, yeah.
00:38:54So we need some like sun lounges.
00:38:56How many of those can we order?
00:38:58One, two, three, four, five.
00:39:04We're on a tight budget here.
00:39:05They're not cashed up.
00:39:06You know, we're competing in this landscape week in a kind of handicap race.
00:39:15So Dad and I were both rendering inside the cabana.
00:39:18That's you, Dad.
00:39:19Yeah.
00:39:20We didn't want the ripple effect inside.
00:39:22I like it.
00:39:26How are you feeling about the backyard?
00:39:28Yeah, they're anxious.
00:39:29We need to get the pool fencing in.
00:39:31But we need these outer tiles down ASAP.
00:39:34Pan.
00:39:36Hasn't dried at all.
00:39:38The pool fencing guy is standing around scratching his head going,
00:39:42they're not going to be ready.
00:39:45People on the other side.
00:39:46Beautiful.
00:39:47The amazing Tory gates went up this morning.
00:39:49Look at that.
00:39:50Tory gates are used in Japan as an entry to a sacred place
00:39:55or a spiritual place.
00:39:56And they look absolutely stunning.
00:39:58I'm super proud of the fireplace that our High Pages Liverpool got us.
00:40:04It looks spectacular.
00:40:06Freaking amazing.
00:40:12We'd just love to have another week to like really finesse it,
00:40:16add some elements, like go the full gung ho on it.
00:40:19But it is what it is.
00:40:21Tools down.
00:40:22We're about to get judged for it.
00:40:24So let's see what the judges say.
00:40:30God, I love a Japanese maple.
00:40:32Yeah, I like a Japanese maple, but I don't really like what I'm looking at.
00:40:36Oh, what, that quickly?
00:40:39Yeah, that quickly.
00:40:40From what we've just come from, I'm sorry, but I just...
00:40:45He said this has a harsher feeling.
00:40:48It has a lot of rock, it's got a lot of pavers.
00:40:51This is really hard for kids to run around.
00:40:53They can trip, they can hit themselves.
00:40:55So it just has that harsher feel.
00:40:57And the buyers will feel that walking out onto this.
00:41:03Well, I do have to say,
00:41:04so this is a landscaper that I do know as well.
00:41:06He's Christian Jenkins.
00:41:07He's always got a bit of a Japanese inspiration with him.
00:41:10Now, I get what you say, it's harsh,
00:41:12but you're looking at all the creepers through here,
00:41:14which is Dichondra, OK?
00:41:16So this will grow out before the auction.
00:41:19I did actually see Christian this morning,
00:41:21so maybe just a little bit undercooked with some of the finishes.
00:41:24You know, that's why you can see that there's no water in the pool.
00:41:26And the guys from Protector Trade
00:41:28were still doing the pool fencing at 8am.
00:41:31You guys really did come down to the line, didn't you?
00:41:34We did, yeah.
00:41:35We cut it fine this week, for sure.
00:41:38I really like the stone.
00:41:40I love how organic and natural edge it is.
00:41:43And in the long term, that Dichondra,
00:41:46once it grows all through,
00:41:48and it will cover every single bit between all of this light grout in time,
00:41:53that's going to be really, really elegant.
00:41:55I think it's great.
00:41:57I do hear what you're saying about kids and running around and grass,
00:42:02but it's over there.
00:42:07Lots of lawn for kids to play.
00:42:09Shona agrees.
00:42:10She also really liked the use of boulders throughout.
00:42:13I love the boulders, the use of boulders and all the plants that are around it.
00:42:18There'll be a lot of softness and it becomes very ornamental.
00:42:22And a lot of people do gravitate to that.
00:42:25Marty agreed on this.
00:42:26The boulders are a hero.
00:42:28And the outdoor fireplace, Dave said that is so cool.
00:42:32I've got to say, I have not seen an outdoor fireplace that not is only circular,
00:42:37but you've got your circular seating around it as well.
00:42:39Yeah.
00:42:40This is a really good selling feature.
00:42:41Pan & Can have nailed this from a real estate perspective,
00:42:45because buyers will, just like us right now,
00:42:47naturally will just congregate here.
00:42:49Yeah.
00:42:50This is such a great place to just sit, look back at the property,
00:42:53enjoy the sun.
00:42:54Yeah.
00:42:55It feels so intimate too.
00:42:57As Shona pointed out, the modular walls are providing not only visual privacy,
00:43:02but acoustic privacy as well.
00:43:04What are the plants against the modular wall there?
00:43:07It's a lily-pilly, that's water house here.
00:43:09They'll be a big hedge, you can see it all the way around here,
00:43:11so they are fast growing as well.
00:43:13Will they get to like three, four metres in height?
00:43:15100%.
00:43:16Amazing, 100%.
00:43:17I think that will then take away a lot of that harshness that I felt walking out.
00:43:22Marty also thought the deck around the pool is very appealing.
00:43:25I mean, it definitely has that more rustic feel, doesn't it?
00:43:29Well, okay.
00:43:30I absolutely love the deck, and I love the rawness of the edge.
00:43:35I just wish they didn't put these feature tiles in here.
00:43:39Yeah, if that was just plain.
00:43:41Yeah.
00:43:42This is the hero.
00:43:43Yes.
00:43:44This is beautiful.
00:43:46That fourth material is a little bit too much.
00:43:49Well, it looks like the checkerboard in the garage.
00:43:51It does.
00:43:52It's not needed.
00:43:53Yeah.
00:43:54Marty thought you had great furniture around the pool.
00:43:57Was that all from freedom, girls?
00:43:59It was.
00:44:00Big freedom advert this week.
00:44:02One thing that we haven't noticed are these arbors over here, okay?
00:44:05Yeah.
00:44:06So that's where that Japanese influence comes from.
00:44:08So there is a story about these arbors here.
00:44:11So obviously Scotty's got a sawmill.
00:44:13He milled up the timber and brought it to Christian,
00:44:15and Christian built it right on site.
00:44:17Oh, it's beautiful.
00:44:18It's stunning.
00:44:19Into the cabana, and Marty was perplexed with the layout internally.
00:44:23There's a couch on one side that doesn't really look at anything,
00:44:27including the TV.
00:44:29Why have a TV in here that can't really be utilised from the pool because of the way that the doors are,
00:44:39doesn't fit what this is meant to be used for?
00:44:41Like, this just is the wrong application.
00:44:44I think this is a massive, massive error.
00:44:46Yeah.
00:44:47I mean, the girls would have been better off just painting the contour of what was already there.
00:44:51Put a couple of yoga mats if they had no money at the time.
00:44:53Yeah, that would have been a better...
00:44:54Just a couple of yoga mats and a couple of towels on hooks.
00:44:56That's all they needed.
00:44:57It would have been better.
00:44:59Marty really wanted to walk under one of the arbors.
00:45:02When the judges got there, they all decided this was their favourite part of the garden.
00:45:07This is beautiful.
00:45:09Isn't it?
00:45:10This is tranquil.
00:45:11It's gorgeous.
00:45:12And you can imagine all the kids running around.
00:45:15Running around here.
00:45:16I was just going to say that.
00:45:17How beautiful is this?
00:45:18So, you can picture the kids running around here, race you to the next house.
00:45:25Mixed feedback there, girls, but plenty of positives today from all of the judges.
00:45:29That is it.
00:45:31Well done.
00:45:32Well done.
00:45:33Well done.
00:45:34Okay, three, Britt and Taz.
00:45:44Mm-hmm.
00:45:45Deep breath.
00:45:50This week was what?
00:45:51A seafood sandwich from the survey.
00:45:56What?
00:45:57Because you'll have a crack at it, but you'll not know how it's going to end.
00:46:01Landscaping will probably win you the block this year.
00:46:03How you doing?
00:46:04Good, thanks to yourself.
00:46:05Nice to meet you.
00:46:06We secured Troy Lovett.
00:46:08Lovett landscaping.
00:46:12The plan is to have beautiful timber arbors from trees that have fallen down in the area.
00:46:18Now we've got the timber.
00:46:19It's about cutting it up.
00:46:20I'm a lumberjack and I'm okay.
00:46:22I sleep all night and I work all day.
00:46:24Sorry, Troy.
00:46:25I love it.
00:46:26Oh my god.
00:46:27It just felt like out of a movie.
00:46:28Yeah, it was a bit romantic actually, me and Scotty Cam then, wasn't it?
00:46:32So we started landscaping three weeks ago.
00:46:34All the levels have been done.
00:46:36All the concrete that we needed to be poured is poured.
00:46:39It's going really well.
00:46:40We're in a really, really good spot.
00:46:42Best week of the block.
00:46:43Landscape wins the block.
00:46:44A hundred percent.
00:46:45So how we're trying to set ourselves apart is being very on brief with Dale's first.
00:46:49It's all about natural beauty, sustainability, wellness.
00:46:56A beacon lighting consult.
00:46:57That's how it's going.
00:46:59We also need to look at where you want garden lighting.
00:47:02So we make sure they've got power points in it.
00:47:04Ready for it.
00:47:05Basically lights everywhere.
00:47:06Lot of drawings.
00:47:07Hopefully it all comes together well.
00:47:11Troy over here is that I've found a brood orchard in the backyard of this girl's house.
00:47:14Who's happy to give it to us.
00:47:16Six fruit trees all up.
00:47:18Mate, we'll get whatever we can.
00:47:19It was about nine grand's worth of fruit trees.
00:47:21Troy sent his guys and we're able to pick up this beautiful nectarine tree.
00:47:25And we've got the plum tree as well.
00:47:27And the second lemon tree over there as well.
00:47:29To be able to save some money and repurpose some of these trees has been a really, really good result.
00:47:36Colby and Sean worked tirelessly off-site to create a chicken coop in the exact same shape as the house.
00:47:44We put the two bird houses up, which we really love.
00:47:50Again, like the chicken coop, triangle houses.
00:47:55It's just like what's not a feature out there actually.
00:47:57There's lots of features.
00:47:58It looks amazing.
00:47:59I'm just proud of Brit because this week was also super stressful.
00:48:04Barbie produced the best backyard.
00:48:07I never thought you'd hold you.
00:48:10I never thought that you might need an anchor.
00:48:14I hope the judges just say that it just screams to Ellsfords from your bar saunas, ice baths.
00:48:20Hopefully they say, I get why they did the reformer room now.
00:48:24Because they've been rinsing us for seven weeks for it.
00:48:26Hopefully it makes sense to them now.
00:48:32Wow-wee.
00:48:34Okay.
00:48:39Heaven.
00:48:41They were immediately drawn to the lounge area and took a seat.
00:48:44Darren said, thank goodness they put an umbrella in.
00:48:48This is a very elegant space, but I'm still the only one in the shade.
00:48:53Guys, you've got to remember, we've got some big trees here, okay?
00:48:56So they are deciduous trees.
00:48:57So when it's summertime, these trees are going to give you cover.
00:49:01Love that!
00:49:02Thank God you're here, Dave.
00:49:04Darren thinks the PGH stone on the fireplace is stunning and magical.
00:49:09It is really beautiful.
00:49:12I love the stark white.
00:49:14I love the link to inside.
00:49:16And I just, I think this area as a lounge area,
00:49:20on top of that area as your dining area, it's just magic.
00:49:26Marty said, seeing it all finished,
00:49:28he can imagine the wedding shoot here right now.
00:49:33They actually started on this outside area planning and prepping months ago.
00:49:38And you can see the level of finish here compared to what we've seen.
00:49:42This is shoot ready right now.
00:49:43Yes.
00:49:44Well, this is Troy Lovett, Lovett Landscapes, okay?
00:49:46So talking about the design that he's gone for,
00:49:49he wants to basically have like a contemporary garden here
00:49:52with links to like the wellness.
00:49:54And that's why we've got the sauna, the spa, the cold plunge.
00:49:58But the connection is these arbors, okay?
00:50:01So this feeds you out.
00:50:02Now they may look a little bit bare at the moment,
00:50:04but you can see that they've got star jasmine
00:50:06that's going to go up the sides of these.
00:50:08So, yes, if it's a wedding,
00:50:09but it's more to take the focal point down into the pool.
00:50:13It sections it off.
00:50:14And this is something that I absolutely love.
00:50:16It's more like a classic modern to me.
00:50:18It's like a journey garden.
00:50:19Yeah.
00:50:22Shona thinks the planting is all stunning.
00:50:25She also really liked the birdhouses attached to the arbors.
00:50:29Speaking of birds, a chicken coop as well and a greenhouse.
00:50:33What a great spot.
00:50:35It's fantastic.
00:50:36It really is.
00:50:37It feels very expensive.
00:50:38Yeah.
00:50:39They've sold perfect use here.
00:50:41They've given every single thing a purpose and a deliberate use.
00:50:46And they found a creek.
00:50:48That's the first on the block.
00:50:50So, generally, all of these properties have a rainwater garden.
00:50:54All right?
00:50:55Yes, we've seen that.
00:50:56But this one's so much bigger.
00:50:57Do you see this as too big of a bed?
00:51:01Because whilst I love the architecture behind it,
00:51:05I also think, well, a buyer will come here and go,
00:51:08what is the purpose of that versus the purpose of having more grass
00:51:13for the kids to kick a footy or...
00:51:15I love the look of it, but just the practicality side.
00:51:18I'm on the fence on this one, to be honest,
00:51:20because, you know, this will photograph up so good
00:51:22and I get where it is.
00:51:24It's sustainable.
00:51:25It's got everything.
00:51:26It screams Dale's foot as well at the same time.
00:51:28It could be the only thing that turns a buyer off.
00:51:30Shayna told him to shut up.
00:51:34Yes, Shayna.
00:51:35She said, this is magnificent.
00:51:38This is like a childhood dream.
00:51:40Like, I know you've got little kids, I've got grandkids
00:51:43and I can see them just spending all their time out here
00:51:46and not coming inside.
00:51:49I think that this is the stuff of childhood dreams.
00:51:53It's the things that I remember from when I was a little kid,
00:51:56but selling a house, families always say,
00:52:01oh, this isn't enough lawn for my kid to run around.
00:52:04Well, I've never seen someone jump online and go,
00:52:06I need to find a house with a big dry creek.
00:52:08With a creek, yep.
00:52:09I mean, it's a great feature, but it's not...
00:52:11This is huge.
00:52:12They're building something that you didn't know you wanted.
00:52:14I'm literally going to stick to my guns with this one.
00:52:18They then headed towards the cabana and took in the pool
00:52:21and they were immediately drawn inside.
00:52:24Oh, wow.
00:52:25How's this craftsmanship?
00:52:26Look at the way that they've cut and installed this decking.
00:52:31Just the simplicity of using this over and over and over again.
00:52:34It's one big space.
00:52:36It looks super minimalistic and refined.
00:52:38Wow.
00:52:39It's...
00:52:42Garen also loved the consideration of doing one light plungy pool
00:52:46and one dark plungy for the spa.
00:52:49And that Freedom furniture is beyond stunning.
00:52:51Now, we have the Contour 3D cabana and I want to see how they've used it,
00:52:58because, controversially, Dave, in there we've got a Pilates studio.
00:53:02So this is clearly a lifestyle-centric house.
00:53:06Mm.
00:53:07I want to know how they've picked up that lifestyle in here.
00:53:10Finally, to the cabana.
00:53:11They thought the couch was in the right spot.
00:53:14No internal render, so it honours the detail of the Contour 3D.
00:53:18This is not a lounge room, though, is it?
00:53:22No.
00:53:23This is a cabana.
00:53:24Yeah.
00:53:25Yeah.
00:53:26You've still got one lounge room.
00:53:29Why on earth you have to stick to your guns
00:53:32and not put the Pilates studio in the shed or in here?
00:53:37This is such a good spot for a Pilates studio.
00:53:40Here we go.
00:53:42Forever.
00:53:43Pilates said they could lose this competition because of that Pilates studio.
00:53:48They all debated if you are just too focused or too stubborn.
00:53:53Both, maybe.
00:53:56Fortunately, this is Backyard and Cabana Week
00:54:01and the backyard is amazing and so is this cabana.
00:54:04This cabana's fantastic.
00:54:06This sells the dream of the wellness
00:54:08and they've ticked every box.
00:54:10I want to do a call out to Troy Lovett for his design
00:54:13and also Britt and Taz for getting someone in early
00:54:16because you can feel it, you can see it
00:54:18and they've allocated money right from the start
00:54:21and it is the dream.
00:54:23They have created this dream backyard.
00:54:26Some brilliant feedback there Britt and Taz.
00:54:28That's it.
00:54:29I'm not going to lie.
00:54:30It's all about it.
00:54:31You're not going to lie.
00:54:32You're not going to lie, don't lie.
00:54:34That's it.
00:54:36I've got a party, too.
00:54:37The bigline, I've got a party, too.
00:54:39The bigline, I'm not going to lie.
00:54:41I have a party.
00:54:43OK, house four, Sonia and Luj.
00:54:45No, I'm not going to lie.
00:54:46I'm not going to lie.
00:54:47This week was fun. We're not at the peak yet, but this was us climbing to the peak.
00:54:54Hey Paul. We worked really closely with our landscape design, Paul Pritchard and also
00:55:01Dylan from Jade Built. I've had experience in the past working with Dave Franklin. Yes,
00:55:06Dave does the judging, so maybe he'll be a little biased.
00:55:12We've built our house with a family like us in mind. Kids want some grass to play on.
00:55:21They love having a bit of grass and a bit of lawn to kick the football.
00:55:25Open space is great. You don't want to feel crowded. You've got this space, use it.
00:55:31We have to think if we're using tiles anywhere in the backyard, the front yard, the side yard,
00:55:36the up yard, the down yard and every yard in between and your neighbour's yard.
00:55:41Let's do pool. There's these ones. Yeah, that one, that one there. Yeah, that looks quite different.
00:55:46That looks like I've ever seen sort of looking, isn't it?
00:55:50The bocce court, they've marked all that out, dug it out. Sick. Yeah. Yeah.
00:55:57I got to Bunnings and I found the fire pit aisle and I needed to make sure that I picked the right one.
00:56:07I mean, it's pretty good. Looks like Heathcote's the one.
00:56:23Oh Mick, I think this is sold.
00:56:26It's the biggest wood on the block, my arbor.
00:56:31What?
00:56:34Looking at the arbor here, is this Wombat Park inspiration from our long lunch?
00:56:37Absolutely. It is. It is. Yay!
00:56:40Our team has been A1 from the start, haven't they?
00:56:47Are you getting sad now? No, but they have been.
00:56:49They have? Yeah.
00:56:50I was a bit teary looking at it this morning. It withdrew emotion out of me.
00:56:55You know that even if we lose it, I will have something beautiful.
00:57:03It fills the focal point of the whole yard with the arbor behind it and everything is right there.
00:57:08When you stand on the alfresco and you look out.
00:57:11Yeah. It's sick. Yeah.
00:57:13Nice.
00:57:18Wow. Look at that. How good's this look?
00:57:23Sun coming through.
00:57:26This is beautiful.
00:57:32It's so simple, but yet looking out is a textbook back garden.
00:57:38It is. It's textbook. Yeah.
00:57:40This is a landscaper that we have had on the show before.
00:57:43So his name's Dylan Barker from Jade Landscapes.
00:57:46I got to speak to him this morning and the landscape is all about family and a home.
00:57:51Mate, I would say a good proper Aussie backyard.
00:57:54That's exactly what this is like. Yeah.
00:57:57Shona said to Marty, you wanted lawn, you've got lawn.
00:58:01I mean, that's the thing. Straight off the deck, you've got heaps of lawn.
00:58:04Yeah.
00:58:05This is the only design that we've seen where the outdoor dining is so far away from the rest of it.
00:58:10It's quite different and unique and it actually works.
00:58:14Shona just love the colour of the Little Hampton Brick Company pavers.
00:58:19They feel very handmade, probably because they are Shona.
00:58:22Yes, Shona, they are.
00:58:24Look at this and how the arbor relates to this furniture.
00:58:28We were saying that's the wedding house.
00:58:30But this is like, you entertain for Christmas Day with three or four families combined.
00:58:36There's like 24 people. Yeah.
00:58:40It's simple. It's solid.
00:58:42I was even looking at the pool fencing going, I wish they had have upped the spec,
00:58:46but then I've noticed a lot of these trees and plants, they're actually all going to keep growing
00:58:51and they're going to actually make the fence disappear.
00:58:53So if it was glass, it would have been an issue.
00:58:56Is that right?
00:58:57Correct, mate.
00:58:58Again, this is a garden that's going to be ever changing as well.
00:59:00So it is well thought out with the plant palette here.
00:59:03So this is another garden that's going to look fantastic come auction time.
00:59:07Shona noticed the wisteria is planted next to the arbor.
00:59:10And imagine what it will be like when they grow over the top. Just beautiful.
00:59:15I'm looking at the timber and thinking, jeez, do you want to cover it?
00:59:17But again, wisteria will look fantastic.
00:59:21I tell you what, everything I look at looks like an elevation of the perfect Aussie garden.
00:59:29You're right. You're right.
00:59:30It really is.
00:59:33Compliments kept on coming, Sonny and Leish.
00:59:36I do love that raised garden bed. That's just so practical.
00:59:39And we've got a fig tree. We've got maybe a lemon or a lime.
00:59:43Yes.
00:59:44This is great.
00:59:45Look at this little rolling knoll down.
00:59:47Can you imagine the bricks going down there?
00:59:50Marty then headed inside your sauna and he thanked you very much for switching it on.
00:59:56Look how big it is.
00:59:58This is a cool sauna.
01:00:00It's on.
01:00:01It's on.
01:00:02I love it.
01:00:03This is a great little spot too.
01:00:04Is it?
01:00:05It's not like they don't have a lot of dining spaces.
01:00:07I was just going to say, I just think it's, don't need that.
01:00:09Unless it's to connect something here.
01:00:13What have they done?
01:00:14Okay, that's interesting.
01:00:16Check.
01:00:17Check it.
01:00:18Look.
01:00:19Ah.
01:00:20There we go.
01:00:21Little day bed.
01:00:22Little day bed.
01:00:23And then found a microwave, a toilet, kitchenette and then kind of realised what type of room he was actually in.
01:00:30It's a poolside cabana, obviously.
01:00:32But the fact that you could crash here.
01:00:35Crash here.
01:00:36Yeah.
01:00:37Marty said it's like a little hotel suite.
01:00:39Because you've got heating and cooling.
01:00:42This is the highest spec cabana we've seen today.
01:00:44Like every single part of the wall is stunning.
01:00:47Dave said this is the best pool cabana he'd ever seen.
01:00:52He called it a great dog house and it's extremely well executed.
01:00:56Sonny would know what that is.
01:00:58That's why I built it Steve.
01:01:00You're always in trouble.
01:01:01I'm always in the dog house.
01:01:03It's a well lit dog house.
01:01:05It's very, very beautiful.
01:01:07The design, the materials, even the decision to paint the ceiling black.
01:01:11And that they've honoured the contour 3D form.
01:01:15Tell you what.
01:01:16I was not expecting to see a cabana to this standard.
01:01:19He said this space is now part of the agent's campaign.
01:01:24They then headed out to find not only a fire pit but a whole petonk pitch or bocce depending on where you come from.
01:01:30This looks like it's the professional size.
01:01:32Wow.
01:01:33Marty's not bad.
01:01:34Marty's not bad.
01:01:35Well that's pretty good.
01:01:36They all had a go and they found themselves very happily relaxing here in the sunshine.
01:01:42What is amazing is that they've placed this bench here for this purpose and we did exactly what you naturally do when you're playing this game socially with friends.
01:01:52Wow.
01:01:53What a, what a backyard.
01:01:55That's it Sonny Elise.
01:01:56Well done.
01:02:04That's it.
01:02:05Yeah.
01:02:06That's right.
01:02:07That's it.
01:02:08That's it.
01:02:09Okay, how's five, Robbie and Matt?
01:02:11G'day.
01:02:14This week was beautiful and muddy.
01:02:23Pool day.
01:02:24Pool day, awesome.
01:02:25Plungy day.
01:02:26So I met Cam from Plungy.
01:02:28We're actually launching a new Plungy called the Quad,
01:02:31which is a 2.2 metre square Plungy.
01:02:35Well-being is such a hot trend
01:02:37that we've designed this to be a cold plunge pool.
01:02:41Plungy giving us two pools.
01:02:42One for the entertainment.
01:02:43Plungy max.
01:02:44And a cold pool.
01:02:45Plungy quad.
01:02:48The backyard is an entertainer and family dream.
01:02:53Play pickleball, jump in the pool,
01:02:55sit in front of the fireplace.
01:02:56So many options.
01:02:57Paul Grant and his team.
01:02:58They're perfectionists.
01:03:00We love Paul and to be honest,
01:03:02there is no way we could do it without him.
01:03:03He is phenomenal.
01:03:04We are going to be putting a big tree here.
01:03:10So I'd like to put maybe like two chairs together
01:03:13and something there.
01:03:14What about these manly chairs,
01:03:18these two little ones?
01:03:19Amazing.
01:03:20All this freedom furniture is going to be
01:03:22exactly what we need.
01:03:23What do you think of this?
01:03:27Oh, wow.
01:03:28It's around about 25 years old.
01:03:32I didn't know what a bottle tree was
01:03:33until I got to the bottle tree place.
01:03:34Bottle tree, bottle tree, bottle tree, bottle tree.
01:03:36I love this girl.
01:03:38She's thick and I think she needs to come home with me.
01:03:41She's massive.
01:03:43It is beautiful, mate.
01:03:44Great pick.
01:03:45Finally, this big pickleball court is now being installed.
01:03:50Just the size of it alone is huge
01:03:53because you could chuck a marquee on that.
01:03:55You could see 100 people on that easily.
01:03:57Easily.
01:03:59I went to Stony Creek Gallery.
01:04:02The gallery is mind-blowing.
01:04:04It's amazing.
01:04:05I took one of Michael Parker's personal sculptures.
01:04:10Wow.
01:04:11It's so much more beautiful
01:04:12than what I even thought it would be.
01:04:14This is one of his last sculptures
01:04:16that he has ever done
01:04:17and so we are very grateful to have this in our yard.
01:04:21It's incredible.
01:04:27Paul's vision has come to life.
01:04:34And he even said
01:04:36this is the best work he's ever done.
01:04:38So suddenly I'm in love with a stranger
01:04:42We've listened, we've learned and we've grown
01:04:46and this week showcases everything that we've learnt.
01:04:50We're here to win this competition.
01:04:53Big words.
01:04:55Well, we are.
01:04:55Look at all the curves, Shana.
01:05:06This is, you know what, this is very Dr Seuss.
01:05:08Don't you think?
01:05:10Very magical.
01:05:12It is magical.
01:05:16Look at the fire in the trends.
01:05:19Wow.
01:05:20Look at that.
01:05:21It's got a couple of bloody pieces of meat on it.
01:05:25Oh my God.
01:05:26A couple of pieces.
01:05:26They're Flintstone size.
01:05:29He was literally salivating.
01:05:31That's ready to eat.
01:05:32Yeah, we'll put that after.
01:05:34This is fantastic, isn't it?
01:05:35It's just so good.
01:05:36It anchors the outdoor entertaining.
01:05:38This bench here acts as a bit of a seat.
01:05:41I love the finish as well.
01:05:42Yeah, that's beautiful.
01:05:44This is a designer that I do know.
01:05:45Another landscaper I know, all right?
01:05:48His name is Paul Grant
01:05:49and he did say that this is one of the biggest outdoor fireplaces in the region.
01:05:53In the region.
01:05:54In the region.
01:05:55There you go.
01:05:55But I've never seen anything this big before.
01:05:58It's incredible.
01:06:00Marty was briefly concerned about the placement of the fireplace.
01:06:05From the deck and from a family perspective,
01:06:08not being able to see the kids in the pool, that is a concern
01:06:11and I think people will recognise that when they come here.
01:06:14Well, actually, a Swan security camera up here
01:06:16point directly at the pool
01:06:18so you can watch that from your phone
01:06:21or from the TV inside in the living room
01:06:23and you can keep an eye on the kids while they're in the pool.
01:06:26That's pretty cool.
01:06:28Yeah.
01:06:28That's pretty handy.
01:06:29Dave Franklin talked a lot today
01:06:31about the layering of the basalt and pebbles
01:06:33and the very considered placement of everything in the garden.
01:06:39This landscape here is sustainable.
01:06:41You can turn the irrigation off on this one
01:06:43and this one will grow, no problems whatsoever.
01:06:45Dave looked to the side of your yard and said...
01:06:48We've had some trees on the block
01:06:49but this is just a hero, isn't it?
01:06:51Yeah.
01:06:52It really is.
01:06:52That's one of the most beautiful trees I've seen in my life.
01:06:55Yeah.
01:06:55So it is about 25 years old.
01:06:57It's beautiful.
01:06:58But how good is just having a simple tree
01:07:00than having a structure?
01:07:02I think this looks fantastic.
01:07:05Darren then had to quote the castle.
01:07:08Oh, the serenity.
01:07:09I thought you were going to say I dug a hole.
01:07:15Darren really liked the inclusion of the food kids.
01:07:18So you've got that lovely, sustainable,
01:07:20grow-your-own-food thing at home.
01:07:21You've got a trellis to grow things up in a vine.
01:07:24Technically, it's wonderful, but it's so pretty.
01:07:27And we haven't even mentioned the swimming pool.
01:07:29I'm surprised you haven't mentioned the...
01:07:31Because I can't wait to...
01:07:31The pickle pool.
01:07:32Hey, you got me at bocce, mate,
01:07:34but you ain't getting me at pickle.
01:07:36Get on that court.
01:07:38And then the competition between the judges was on again.
01:07:41Is this what you and your real estate mates do every week, eh?
01:07:49There's no mercy here.
01:07:53Oh.
01:07:53I nearly went over then.
01:07:55Scores, Marty two, Dave zero.
01:07:58You know what, the boys...
01:08:00Look at how much you get.
01:08:01The boys won the fireplace.
01:08:03They won the pickleball court.
01:08:05They won the money from the wine cellar to get the bottle tree.
01:08:09Everything they won has added value to here.
01:08:13You've made it all work so well together.
01:08:16It's very cohesive.
01:08:17This here's a pretty incredible inclusion.
01:08:21These are the only contestants that have actually added this in.
01:08:24Hey, that actually goes quite quick.
01:08:26That's easy.
01:08:27Look at that.
01:08:27And they're easy.
01:08:28Geez.
01:08:28From Shade Spot here, I'll be honest,
01:08:30I haven't seen one of these before, so...
01:08:32It's actually giving shade over there.
01:08:33Yeah, that's it.
01:08:34So it just depends where you're wanting to sit.
01:08:36Well, when it's 12 to, you know, 2 o'clock
01:08:39and that sun is beating down on a 40-degree day,
01:08:42that's actually giving them the protection that's needed.
01:08:44Inside the Contour 3D cabana,
01:08:48they found another sauna and another great inclusion,
01:08:51but they didn't think it was built in as well as House 1's was.
01:08:58It just feels like it's plonked there to me.
01:09:01I would rather see something a little bit more in here.
01:09:03But, you know...
01:09:04It's great, but it's not as luxurious
01:09:06as some of the other cabanas we've seen.
01:09:08Definitely not.
01:09:08Mmm.
01:09:10They then headed back to the fire to deliberate
01:09:13and found Matty from the Dalesford Meat Company
01:09:16slicing up the ribeye for them.
01:09:19G'day, mate.
01:09:19Hello.
01:09:20Oh, good.
01:09:20Chef and everything.
01:09:21Good, thank you.
01:09:22Looking for a couple of extra points there, mate.
01:09:26As they ate their steak,
01:09:27they thought about what they'd seen today
01:09:29and they have nothing but high praise for all of you.
01:09:33I'm going to say,
01:09:34I've been on the block for a long time,
01:09:36but this is some of the best landscapes I've ever seen.
01:09:38Now, that is high praise indeed,
01:09:41considering he's done a lot of them himself.
01:09:44Time for the scores.
01:09:46Congratulations, everyone.
01:09:47Bloody think of everything, don't you?
01:09:48What?
01:09:49Not the steak.
01:10:00Here we go.
01:10:01Good luck, everyone.
01:10:03Congratulations, everyone.
01:10:04OK, Dave Franklin's first.
01:10:06Emma and Ben.
01:10:07I'm so nervous.
01:10:0880% is native here.
01:10:11Very sustainable as well.
01:10:12It's going to be hard to beat.
01:10:17Pan and can.
01:10:19Maybe just a little bit undercooked with some of the finishes.
01:10:22That's why you can see that there's no water in the pool.
01:10:29Britain Taz.
01:10:30This is something that I absolutely love.
01:10:32It's more like a classic modern to me.
01:10:40City and leash.
01:10:41Landscape is all about family and a home.
01:10:44This is what they've ticked off here.
01:10:49Robbie and Matt.
01:10:52We've had some trees on the block,
01:10:54but this is just a hero.
01:10:55Oh, high scores.
01:11:07Jump's down.
01:11:08Here you go.
01:11:11Right.
01:11:12Darren and Mike.
01:11:13And I'm Dan.
01:11:16It's that natural environment materials palette,
01:11:19and it just feels really right for Dalesford.
01:11:26Pan and can.
01:11:28I really like the stone.
01:11:30I love how organic and natural edge it is.
01:11:37Ooh.
01:11:39Britain Taz.
01:11:40This area as a lounge area,
01:11:43on top of that area as your dining area,
01:11:46it's just magic.
01:11:53Certainly a leash.
01:11:55Everything I look at looks like
01:11:57an elevation of the perfect Aussie garden.
01:12:01It's brilliant, Matt.
01:12:08Technically, it's wonderful,
01:12:09but it's so pretty.
01:12:17Oh.
01:12:17Whoa.
01:12:18I've never seen this.
01:12:19Holy doly.
01:12:21Mighty Fox.
01:12:22Evan Ben.
01:12:23This here just screams Dalesford
01:12:26because you can see it in the foreground.
01:12:28I don't really like what I'm looking at.
01:12:52I don't even want it.
01:12:54Britain Taz.
01:12:56Love the look of it.
01:12:58But just the practicality side,
01:12:59it could be the only thing
01:13:00that turns a buyer off.
01:13:08Sunny and Alicia.
01:13:11It's quite different and unique,
01:13:13and it actually works.
01:13:21One corner.
01:13:23Where we met.
01:13:24Look at the fire in the trends.
01:13:29It's just so good.
01:13:30It anchors the outdoor entertaining.
01:13:38Rightio.
01:13:40Okay.
01:13:41I'll be back in a sec.
01:13:42Hey, Scotty.
01:13:43Yes?
01:13:43A hundred bucks.
01:13:51With a gnome on it.
01:13:53What's that, mate?
01:13:54You'd like to play your secret gnome?
01:13:55Yeah, we would like to play our secret gnome.
01:13:57I told you guys.
01:13:59You lied to my face.
01:14:02He just lied to me.
01:14:03I said, do you have it?
01:14:04Sorry, everyone.
01:14:05Ben and him won a secret gnome on the domain.
01:14:10Eyes jury.
01:14:11You look me in the eyes.
01:14:13Game on, moles.
01:14:18Oh, you're going down in the last week, I tell you.
01:14:20Oh, I see ya.
01:14:21Cheeky bugger.
01:14:23Lied to our faces.
01:14:25Shana Blaze.
01:14:26Well, if the shoe fits.
01:14:31Hey, my Ben.
01:14:32Look what they've done and styled to perfection.
01:14:35And a can.
01:14:38I absolutely love the deck and I love the rawness of the edge.
01:14:43I just wish they didn't put these feature tiles in here.
01:14:46Put the tass.
01:14:49This is like a childhood dream.
01:14:51They're building something that you didn't know you wanted.
01:14:54It's a new wish.
01:14:57I do love that raised garden bed.
01:14:59That's just so practical.
01:15:00A new match.
01:15:03Everything they want has added value to here.
01:15:07Totals.
01:15:08Plus one.
01:15:09We're half a point behind.
01:15:16Okay.
01:15:18Winner of week 11 in Dalesford and taking home 10,000 bucks from MG is...
01:15:24Here we go.
01:15:34By half a point, it's Em and Ben.
01:15:36Yes!
01:15:37Oh, half a point.
01:15:47Congratulations by half a point.
01:15:50Well done.

01:15:52We won.
01:15:52It's been the most crazy, crazy week.
01:15:55But we won with the sneaky no.
01:15:57Oh, it's just rewarding.
01:15:58It just feels like all that hard work was actually worth it.
01:16:01Okay.
01:16:02On to our final ComBank reward prize of $10,000 for the team that has done the best job at managing
01:16:09their budget.
01:16:10It's going to be very handy.
01:16:11$10,000 bucks for next week.
01:16:13They've done it again because they did most of the work themselves.
01:16:17Paid their dad minimum wage.
01:16:19It's Hannah and Ken.
01:16:20Congratulations.
01:16:21We've got ComBank.
01:16:25Yep.
01:16:26Whoop, whoop.
01:16:28Now, I want to talk about next week, the final week on the block.
01:16:31As you know, someone's going to win not one, but two MGs.
01:16:35One to sell with your house and one to take home.
01:16:38And here they are.
01:16:39That goes with the house.
01:16:40That goes home with you guys.
01:16:43But that's not all.
01:16:45I'm here to tell you, folks, that there's something else.
01:16:49Oh.
01:16:49Yes, sirree.
01:16:50Indeed.
01:16:52I've got another big prize announcement tonight.
01:16:55And this comes to us from our friends at Bunnies.
01:16:59You probably need some chairs at this stage, but we're going to stand anyway.
01:17:04The team that wins next week is also getting $50,000 off their reserve on auction day.
01:17:12Wow.
01:17:13Holy dooly.
01:17:16That is basically $50,000 cash in your pocket.
01:17:20That's huge.
01:17:21And it's probably enough to win you the block as well.
01:17:24That's huge.
01:17:26Good luck.
01:17:27Good night.
01:17:27One week to go, gang.
01:17:28See ya.
01:17:29Thanks, Mary.
01:17:31Next time on the block.
01:17:32We're going out with a bang shell.
01:17:34Teams face an epic final week.
01:17:38Tackling front gardens and facades.
01:17:40With the finish line in sight and a huge prize up for grabs.
01:17:45You've got two cars.
01:17:46And $50,000 off the final reserve.
01:17:50$50,000 can potentially win you the block.
01:17:53It's the week to win.
01:17:54Our blockheads dip deep to complete their dream Dalesford homes.
01:17:58Yeah.
01:17:59Yeah, we're going for the win.
01:18:00We're going for the win.
01:18:01Yeah.
01:18:01No bickering this week.
01:18:03Stop getting up me because I'm going to lose it in a minute.
01:18:04I'm not getting up here.
01:18:05Left nothing in the bank.
01:18:07We don't have the money.
01:18:08We broke.
01:18:09Nothing in the tank.
01:18:10Probably got the biggest area to landscape.
01:18:13This is the last chance.
01:18:14We have to win.
01:18:15We have to.
01:18:16This is just for nothing.
01:18:18We haven't won a room.
01:18:19It's embarrassing.
01:18:20Last judges feedback for the year.
01:18:23How good is that?
01:18:24This is pretty faultless.
01:18:26Planted to perfection.
01:18:28Tick, tick, tick, tick.
01:18:29But for one team, it's a big fat cross.
01:18:32There's not a lot going on.
01:18:34It's barren.
01:18:36Oh my God, I feel sick.
01:18:38What are we judging?
01:18:38This is large kitty litter covered in mulch.
01:18:41It could win or lose this competition.
01:18:45Our room reveal galleries are now open for your inspection.
