00:00Alright, ready for Freaker Friday and Fantastic Four was reacting in Hexitan Jollibee Doll. Let's do this thing.
00:10iPhone, now you can play Unlocked on PC with Google Play Games.
00:15You're here, I'm clear, and I'm over.
00:18So, like the Starbucks doll I made, this is another doll inspired by a food chain that I am obsessed with.
00:35If you're not familiar with Jollibee, you need Filipino friends.
00:40It is a Filipino fast food chain that started in the 70s, and they have multiple locations around the world.
00:48It's always so nostalgic for me since I grew up eating it with my grandmother, and I remember we would, like, when we didn't have money, we would just order a plain white rice and also their gravy, so it would be like, I don't know, cents or like a dollar, and I would eat that together.
01:03And, you know, it was a simple time, but, you know, my heartstrings.
01:08But I feel like Jollibee is the Filipino answer to McDonald's because they are like the Marvel versus DC in the Philippines.
01:16It's a Marvel comic!
01:18The next one was introduced in 1980, and it's modeled as a large, anthropomorphic B-Nascot, dressed in a blazer, shirt, and chef's hat.
01:28Like Ronald McDonald, Jollibee has a crew as well.
01:36T-I-D-B.
01:38It's almost the famous Chik and Joy.
01:40Home of the famous Chik and Joy.
01:43I just watched when I was 13.
01:44T-I-D-B.
01:45I just watched when I was 13.
01:48Opportunity speaking.
01:49Holy shit.
01:51Sorry, Miss Suzanne Storm.
01:52She's leaking. Oh, shit.
01:57Sorry, Miss Suzanne Storm.
02:03Sorry, Suzanne Storm, are you okay? Yes.
02:22Hi.
02:24Yes.
02:34No, girl.
02:36You're welcome.
02:38I'm going to take care of your dog.
02:40We're going to tell you this is like,
02:42Oh my God, there's no reason.
02:44Why?
02:46Why?
02:48Are you okay?
02:50I don't know.
02:52I don't know.
02:54I don't know.
02:56I don't know.
02:58Hex-a-tan.
03:00We're going to get over here with me.
03:02Thanks so much.
03:04I'm gonna go.
03:06Alright, so in here our orders have arrived to order the chicken, Joy.
03:12Then if you enjoy them, we need it.
03:14Mr. Wave, what the?
03:16We got nothing to join.
03:18So it's blessed and um, it's not here you go.
03:23Okay, I don't know why my adult life is, it's not a different level, I prefer more than McDonald's.
03:32Is that crazy?
03:33That's what my main tried and true is, that burger's date.
03:39Yeah!
03:40So good, literally so good.
03:45I don't know why, but it's really just so good.
03:48I hope you guys are here to join with me because I am making a Jollibee doll.
03:52If you haven't noticed, if you haven't said the title of this video.
03:59And um, and we meant a subscriber, like, oh my god, win, win, win.
04:04I hate it.
04:06So good, literally so good.
04:09I don't know why the president saw that.
04:12Let's go back to the studio and talk about this doll.
04:19So this doll is going to be heavily inspired by Terry Blair.
04:25Like if Blair and Jollibee had a baby, it would be this doll.
04:29I really wanted to take the Jollibee mascot and turn it really fashionable.
04:34So I knew that big thing should be saturated to achieve the look I wanted.
04:39With that being sad, let's go ahead and warm up this Jollibee.
04:44Or actually, should we call her Jollibee?
04:47Yeah, alright.
04:50Before we buzz in, I wanted to take a second to thank today's sponsor, Audible.
04:57Whenever I am repinting dolls, I love to listen to audiobooks.
05:02I just find that it really gets me in the zone.
05:04If you're unfamiliar with Audible, they have the largest selection of audiobooks ranging from fiction, fashion, art, and so much more.
05:12While I wait for George R.R. Martin to complete the song of my supplier, I need his take on Game of Thrones.
05:19I have been listening to The Good, The Bad, and The Barbie.
05:23A doll's history and her impact on us by Tanya Lee Stone.
05:28I've always loved documentaries and stories around dolls, and this focuses on our beloved Barbara Millicent's robber.
05:36It talks about her journey when she was first introduced in the 50s and how her image shaped our society.
05:42It's a very compelling story since it talks about all the positive and also the negative sides to her influence.
05:49And I think she will forever be an icon despite the criticism, but it was enlightening to hear someone else's point of view.
05:58If you want to give the book a listen, start listening with a 30-day trial and your first audiobook plus two Audible originals are free.
06:07Visit audible.com slash Hexton or text Hexton to 500-500.
06:12There's never been a better time to experience Audible.
06:15Each month, Audible members get three titles of their choice.
06:19One audiobook, two Audible originals, exclusive sales, and 30% off of all the regularly priced audiobooks.
06:28So try it for free for 30 days by visiting audible.com slash Hexton or by texting Hexton to 500-500.
06:36Now let's get into we use this.
06:39Oh my god.
06:40So we will be using an Ever After High doll and this is Apple Bites as you can see.
06:45And wow, it's been a while since I have actually re-hinted an Ever After High face.
06:50Uh, dang.
06:52I've heard the boobs take off all of her hair and this one was specifically for her to take off.
06:58The glue was so gunky inside.
07:01So let's go and give her some hot spa time.
07:05I use a needle nose plier to pull the hair out from the neck hole and this is so gross because the glue is so sticky.
07:29But, oddly enough, it is very satisfying.
07:33Now that her hair is completely gone, we can also clean off from factory paint using acetone or nail polish for liver.
07:45No, tronaries.
07:47I don't like tronaries.
07:48No.
07:50No, what the fuck.
07:52So now we have the clean canvas, I'm going to be recruiting her with red acrylic yarn.
07:59I just take my re-rooting tool and then hook the yarn in one by one.
08:07Since this will be a shiny look, I focus the reroute to the perimeter of her head.
08:12Yard reroutes can tend to be really big and bulky, so pre-planning where the yarn plugs will go is really recommended.
08:20Depending on the style you're going to work.
08:24I deep forget to put the scalp slow and let's go ahead and do that now.
08:27I'm using red, obviously, because this will help the hair to blend in.
08:37Now we have completed the rebreathe process.
08:40Make sure to secure it in place with our tack.
08:43This will hold all the yarn plugs in the hair since we will be doing some intense brush outs.
08:54We'll wait for it to dry for about a day and we can finally brush out the yarns.
08:58I use these to cut brushes and I use the blue one first to separate the yarns and keep it clean.
09:06Then I moved on to with the brown metallic one to move the yarn to make it really fluffy.
09:12Now we have our fluffy yarn hair.
09:22I will use my hair straightener to straighten the yarn and make it even longer and silky the meganosh.
09:28So for those who've had Jollibee before, share down below in the comments what you love from Jollibee.
09:38I know that the menu in the Philippines and international is different.
09:41So yeah, go ahead and share down below all of these fun menus that you love.
09:45I put her hair in a ponytail to keep it in place and she looks so cute with a ponytail actually.
09:55I am living for this.
09:57Like while I'm at her face, it just looks so huge and sweet.
10:02We can finally move on to her face.
10:05I used her with watercolor pencils to sketch out what I wanted for her face.
10:10I definitely wanted to go for a more elude look and have fun with Jollibee's vintage cartoon eyes.
10:22It's very 1930s, 1920s.
10:24And of course we have a strong color story happening.
10:27So I wanted to give her yellow eyeshadow to match the little bra look.
10:31Jollibee had completely pitch black eyes, but it would have looked really flat and it would have been out of place with the doll's aesthetic.
10:47So I went for a dark brown.
10:50And of course, like any other Hexy creation, a strong highlighter is much needed.
11:09It needs to be strong enough to cut through a burger steak.
11:12Or actually like a young burger.
11:15This is not nice Hexy Tiano.
11:18I really wanted to give her a vintage inspired face up, but something did not look quite right.
11:34So after some good night's sleep, I decided I needed how she looked, as you can see.
11:39That's why I kind of brushed through this part.
11:43The face just this green, like the Jollibee I wanted to portray.
11:47And it also felt this flat despite my attempts of preventing that.
11:52I knew I couldn't post it and be oblivious to not looking right for me.
11:56So I had to scratch it all off and start from the beginning.
12:00This is the beginning.
12:01This is the beginning.
12:03So again, let's go ahead and remove the face up.
12:06And by the way, removing a custom face up, at least the one I did, is much harder than the factory face.
12:13After a few coats of Mr. SuperClear or MSC, we are able to, once again, sketch out the face.
12:21This time I kept focus and I made sure to really pay attention to the details I'm trying to put in.
12:27The lips will have a natural tint to it to bring all the focus onto the eyes.
12:46I decided to bring the yellow into her eyes instead of her shadow.
12:52And I thought that the motocrobatic eyes looked pretty strong and almost had a honeycomb vibe to it.
13:01I also made the pure old face.
13:03That's a gone shape that's inspired from honeycomb.
13:10I strayed away from going to the harp on her eyebrows and I made sure it gives her a happier look.
13:16For the eye shadow, I kept a pinnable with neutral browns.
13:23So literally, I flipped the colors from the first face up.
13:35I'm almost halfway through and I'm 100 times happier with this look like I am.
13:40I am the very famous and I love it so much.
13:45Uh-oh, uh-uh, uh-uh.
13:46And again, spark.
13:48I am also to artificially highlight her nose.
14:03Not really lowly mouth.
14:04And now for the second time you get twice for the sun, we add the sharp eyeliner.
14:09This is one thing I can't see to escape from.
14:16I didn't want to make her eyes look too heavy again, so for the bottom liner, I kept it
14:24dark brown.
14:27And now we start to build the blush on her cheeks, nose, and chin.
14:34Downtown.
14:36To make sure the sclera and her eyes are rustling, I use a white acrylic paint.
14:48Another effect I wanted to add was the egg yolk eye, or the egg yolk cell, which literally
14:55means charming bag in Korea.
14:57This is a beauty trend popular in Korea of emphasizing the bags under the eyes by contouring
15:03it.
15:04It makes her a set of beer, yogurt, and sweet.
15:13After her lashes, I got these with Daiso, and I just trimmed them to fit her eyes.
15:22And now we have completed our second attempt at Jollibee's face.
15:23And I am so proud of it and happy I decided to redo her face though.
15:29She looks so sweet, yet fierce at the same time, and overall, the vibe is just so much better.
15:35Here is a side-by-side at the first and second face-up.
15:36I think the main reason why I failed the first time is because I had a locked-in vintage face-up
15:42in my head, but I forgot to consider her face-up, and also I haven't worked with an Ever After
15:51High face for the longest time, and so I think I had to get used to it in my head.
16:03forgot to consider her face mold and also i haven't worked with an ever after height face for the
16:09longest time and so i think i had to get used to it again lesson for today is to not be afraid to
16:16start over even though you are literally treading it now i can finally go ahead and move on to her
16:24outfit this magical article of clothing was again created by the lovely felix designs over at
16:32in scrap leather is so so good and you guys need to check her out let's work on her bodysuit and add
16:41the yellow stripes to it i'm using a yellow patch of leather and i'm cutting
16:56tired of safety through jobs and don't feel like you're unfit
16:59putting it in strips then i'm just sewing it in place and i know it's shocking yes i sewed this
17:08it was just not so funny
17:13oh crap
17:15i will be using warblah i have first featured this in my princess norma doll so check that out if you want to
17:21know more about warblah i think somebody even commented that i will start to use it all the
17:27time now or in every single video yes you're correct well you know as much as possible um but i just
17:36paint the gloves and her hand with white acrylic paint
17:52let's wait for that to dry and move on to her wings joliby had a tiny pair of wings but this joliby or my
18:01joliby will have a much bigger one well you know big enough to see from her giant shoulder pad
18:11i just sketched out a design that i cut out and traced onto a matte plastic packaging and i think
18:18this one is from a ring packaging or something i don't remember but i just glue wire to bring the
18:25wings and make it posable
18:29what the hell
18:32you have a joliby
18:35because i am making a genovito if you haven't
18:38then i started adding ring details with hot glue to retain the flexibility of it
18:49and we should have something like this i tried to paint the frames black but it looks like a hot mess
18:56so we will be keeping it clear
19:00and back to sketching now i am drawing the bee's abdomen not hers but the bee part the bee's abdomen
19:09i really wanted this to be three-dimensional
19:11so i traced it in cardboard and i cut two pieces out of it
19:20then i cut the ends of them on opposite sides so that you can combine them together
19:29i then added more pieces to each bowl to make the frame rounder
19:33we should have something like this and honestly it has a floral look to it it's like they're futuristic
19:43now i'm gonna stuff each crevice with tissue to keep everything light and airy
19:48after everything is stuck i covered the entire thing with tape to be next to a hole
20:01i'm gonna cut it in strips to keep everything light and airy
20:03so i'm gonna cut it in strips to keep everything light and airy
20:08using a white leather fabric i cut it in strips to give it a spherical look
20:23after it's covered we've finally painted red yellow
20:31so
20:37let's go ahead and move on to the boots while i'm dry
20:40i'm taking cardboard and i trace that foot and make it pointy
20:44do you guys know i love narrow pointy tube boxes
20:52i of course trace that into horrible because that will be the final soles of the boots
21:01i just keep the warm up and lay it against the bottom of the doll's butt
21:11now i just have to wait for it to cool down and it will take the shape permanently
21:17now using the same yellow fabric i wrap her legs with a good size face
21:21space again and i sew the foot area as close as possible i know again
21:27so much sewing
21:37make sure to stop right at the ankle so it's easy for us to remove it
21:41now pull off the boots and flip it inside out and again we put the boots back in and now we can glue
21:53on the worthless soles perfectly
22:00and now we can finally work on the shape of the top part of the boot so we go ahead and reshape it and
22:06clean it up for the heels i use a pin needle i just love the little style heels they're so uncomfortable
22:16they're so unwearable they're perfect i just poke it through the warbler and i line it properly
22:23then i take my pocket skull to shape the heel and blend it with the soles
22:40after that cured timing the heels are yellow and the soles you guessed it voila that's red in sagama
22:48and now we have completed the boots and it's very sickening house down boots
22:59to create jolebi's chef toad hat i also used more blood to shape the narrow grip parts of it
23:06but like this this had to attempt at first i used epoxy for the top part of the hat i thought it was
23:13it would be really cute if i sculpted it but it was so heavy like literally if this falls into a
23:20glass table that's rolled within a million pieces it's so heavy like it's like a rock so i did just
23:28scratch that and throw it in the fabric parts and you guessed it we'll have to dance sewing again um i take a
23:37soft and platter fabric and cut two big circles out of it i then sew it from this side to good size
23:43and before completing the stitches i lift it inside out
23:51using these puff balls i stuck them in the hat to give it some shape
24:09then i use a bunch of stitching to create natural wrinkles and folds for the hat
24:21i made another brim with more blood and i just glue them together
24:43we should have something like this now let's go ahead and paint the entire thing with white acolyte
24:51i use these curl-ended pins that i bent and shaped before painting into red
25:12business checking has always been just a check
25:15until then introducing u.s bank business essentials
25:24and for her hair i take these red puff balls and i glue them together we need some additional help
25:30with her hair to achieve a clean present mood she knew after we have this red caterpillar looking
25:36thing thing i take some additional more hair i've made and i cover the entire thing with it
25:50now let's pin it in place and brush her actual hair out
25:54as you can see we achieved an exaggerated crescent she built that is clean and visible from the front
26:07the main goal was to make the hair visible from the front of the face so we got that pads on our backs
26:13so i forgot to mention but i did take this i made this bow um it's just a bunch of ribbons
26:29we know no monsters no thank you
26:43who paul's driver is named
