00:00Welcome to Real Talk, where it gets hot, spicy, and to the drama.
00:04Hey, Real fans, I'm Haley Lorelai, and today I am hanging out with my co-stars from Miss You After Goodbye, Ben Taylor and Josh Wells.
00:12You guys, I'm so happy that you're here.
00:33This is a serious matter. Can you please just walk in for us?
00:37Happy to be here.
00:38I miss you guys so much. Like, genuinely, this is so much fun for me.
00:41I miss you guys too.
00:42Aww.
00:43Let me be back.
00:44Is the last time that we saw each other on set?
00:47Yeah, we wrapped June 29th.
00:49Mm-hmm. Wow.
00:51Dates, guys. Oh, my God.
00:53It's the best. You know, life hasn't been the same ever since. I haven't laughed since.
00:59Yeah. I've only known darkness since that we wrapped.
01:03I've been a bit of despair, guys.
01:05I'm on other sets, and I'm just staring in the corner. I'm just like, one day, Josh and Ben will appear.
01:09Yeah, I've been so mean on other sets. I just...
01:11Yeah, hating on all my...
01:14Slap and day players and f***.
01:16Bruh.
01:17This is how it was on set.
01:19Yeah, but now we're good. We're not going to break ever again.
01:21That's what we said. We kept breaking.
01:23I just want everybody watching to know that this is my entire experience for two weeks, filming 12 hours a day.
01:31Yeah.
01:32Okay. I am so excited to be in the same room as you guys again.
01:35Genuinely, I agree.
01:36Yeah, me too.
01:36I really missed you guys.
01:37Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:38I think we could all say that that show kind of changed our lives for the better.
01:42Yeah.
01:43Yeah.
01:43We got 105K on TikTok.
01:45I don't even need to talk about it. It's just whatever.
01:48Her.
01:49She's part of it.
01:49Subscribe to this.
01:50Yeah.
01:51Yeah.
01:51105K from...
01:53Yeah.
01:54What was it before?
01:55Well, it was 40 before.
01:57That's it.
01:58That's it, dude.
01:59Yeah.
02:00That's wild, huh?
02:01So...
02:01That's impressive.
02:02That's very cool.
02:03Yeah, people love the show.
02:04They like me to a full name for playing Simon.
02:06All of my comments are like, we need to know the name of who played Neil Wade.
02:11Please drop his at.
02:12Please drop his at.
02:13I got one comment that was, Neil is so much better looking than Simon.
02:15I was like, yeah, that's true.
02:17Like, I completely agree.
02:19I remember watching parts of it and be like, wow, I look terrible at this.
02:24The fans did not think so.
02:25How about that?
02:26Your handsome chap.
02:27Your handsome chap.
02:28Thanks, man.
02:29Appreciate you.
02:31Ah, the clammy palms.
02:32I'm so sweaty and I'm so nervous right now.
02:35And I am sweating.
02:36That's fine.
02:37I wore my tracksuit for this.
02:39You look fantastic.
02:40Thanks, man.
02:41You look fantastic.
02:41Huh?
02:42Oh, thanks.
02:43You also look...
02:44Okay, thank you.
02:44I was really hoping someone would say it back.
02:46I was pushing for it.
02:46I was waiting for it.
02:47She actually only said that to get the compliments.
02:49Correct.
02:50I don't mean it.
02:50I think that we all played characters we haven't played before, right?
02:58Like, I played a really mean, I'd argue, misunderstood character.
03:06Yeah.
03:07I've played this character once before.
03:12Okay.
03:13So...
03:13A likable lead, you mean?
03:15Or...
03:15Yeah.
03:16I don't think Neil was ever, like, a victim.
03:21You know?
03:21Like, I think he tried and then was like, all right.
03:26I played a likable lead once before, like, a year ago, but...
03:30I don't think so.
03:31But you know when I play the, like, me characters?
03:33The Kira character?
03:34Yes.
03:35Or the Simon character.
03:36Like, either one of you two is what you're going to play.
03:38Okay.
03:39I never have played the villain.
03:42It's so...
03:43I know, right?
03:44Yeah.
03:45Even in the hockey one, they were like, oh, you're going to be, like, the sport,
03:48and I figured I'd be the jerk.
03:49Yeah.
03:50No, you were just the sweetest.
03:52Too amazing as a human?
03:54Right.
03:55Yeah.
03:55You can't even fake it.
03:56It's kind of a tough one.
03:57You're likable.
03:58Yeah.
03:58Your charm just exudes through you.
04:01No, I was sick of it.
04:02I loved it.
04:03It was so much fun.
04:04It was really fun.
04:05I feel like you get to, like, be parts of yourself that you're not supposed to be in
04:08life.
04:09Yeah.
04:09Like, you probably shouldn't pull a gun on someone you don't like.
04:12Right.
04:13But I got to do that.
04:14Some would say.
04:15I think...
04:15Some would say.
04:16Yeah.
04:17I'd avoid it.
04:18Right.
04:18Sure.
04:19But the character got to.
04:20That was fun.
04:21I like yelling.
04:23You know, I like to yell.
04:24Think about this.
04:25When do you get to just yell?
04:28Never.
04:28You don't get to yell on camera.
04:31I get to yell.
04:32Have you noticed any difference in, like, fans' comments towards you guys since the show
04:37came out from, like, your other shows?
04:40Has the response been different or people just...
04:42Mine's been drastic.
04:43So has mine.
04:44Mine's been insane.
04:44I've just gotten more.
04:47Yeah.
04:47But it hasn't really been different.
04:49I'm like, oh, I like the character.
04:50I like the show.
04:51But definitely there have been more.
04:53Yeah.
04:54For sure.
04:54Yeah.
04:55But nothing crazy.
04:58Yeah.
04:58I feel like...
04:58We're getting a lot of hate.
05:00I went from, like, people love me to, like, this guy is the scum of you.
05:04I've gotten a lot of die, Kira, die.
05:07I'm like, what are you talking about?
05:08It's like, she is dead.
05:09I'm not playing her anymore again.
05:10She was like, that was fake.
05:12It was a show.
05:13Hey, gang, not real.
05:15Incredibly scripted.
05:16Like, it's actually this really cool concept, you know.
05:18Anyway.
05:18Here's how my job works.
05:19Yeah.
05:20But it's interesting because the last maybe five days, it's been a switch of people being
05:27like, dang, I wish Kira and you all got back together.
05:29I love her.
05:31But now there's been a switch where people are just thinking Kira's innocent and she was
05:35just led astray by Simon and her sister.
05:38Which is awful.
05:38Is this not true?
05:41Yeah.
05:41She was just bad from the start.
05:43Yeah.
05:43In the first, like, episode.
05:45Yeah.
05:45The only redeemable quality is that you got shot.
05:48I took a bullet for him.
05:50I figured it out.
05:54Don't care.
05:56I think it'd be fun to talk about the change in power dynamics from other shows to this
06:01show and the characters we've played.
06:03So, Ben, I have some questions for you.
06:06Please.
06:06Ben, have you ever played a role where your character had experienced such vulnerability
06:10and regret?
06:11I did this at our youth in college where I played Warren.
06:15And that was kind of a similar character, honestly.
06:18And just in the sense of, like, means well, wants connection.
06:22Um, but the people around him are not giving that to him.
06:27But he never, yeah, was a victim or never just kind of was just down-drodden or, you
06:35know, fell on himself.
06:36Um, just kind of kept pushing and had, like, that optimism to him.
06:40That's awesome.
06:40The verticals.
06:42So, yeah.
06:43No, that's true.
06:44I feel like Neil did have that drive.
06:46I think so.
06:47As well as, like, the abilities happen to his emotions.
06:49So, that was cool.
06:49Yeah, yeah, yeah.
06:49You played him really well.
06:51Great job.
06:52Thanks, man.
06:53Well done.
06:53What was the most difficult part of playing this character who's, like, suddenly so powerless
06:58in a situation where he thought he at least had a little control?
07:03Or did you feel like you were powerless, I guess is a question.
07:07I, no, I, I think there were times, especially it was, like, a two-second scene when you dumped
07:13milk on my head.
07:15That was crazy.
07:16We were changing outfits and we were both like, what's this scene for?
07:19And they're like, oh, you're going to pour milk on his head.
07:21What?
07:22And we were both like, what do you mean I'm pouring milk on his head?
07:26It didn't, like, specify what this, it was, like, a quick, like, little, like, three-second
07:29scene.
07:30And there's, like, no beginning, no after.
07:32It was just, like, me wiping the ground.
07:35And then her hand just pours milk on my head.
07:37And then next scene.
07:38I'm like, missed his spot.
07:39Yeah, that was the idea of it, I guess.
07:41I'm thinking.
07:42And so, it was, like, it was, like, Ben being, like, this is crazy.
07:48That was pretty wild.
07:49Like, the milk and then the tripping when I'm holding the plate of food.
07:53Oh, that was so sad.
07:54I think I'm just trying to get around it and be like, why?
07:56Why did you stay?
07:57Why did he stay?
07:58Yeah.
07:59She was so mean.
08:00For no reason.
08:01Kind of funny.
08:03It had funny moments.
08:04Like, that is pretty funny.
08:05Pour milk on someone's head is kind of funny.
08:06That was...
08:07Like, objectively, it's never not been funny.
08:10I just remember you being like, this will be my last scene of the day, though, right?
08:13Because I'm going to have milk in my hair.
08:15I remember driving home and still, like, feeling the milk.
08:19And I could see, like, white droplets coming out of my hair.
08:22Like a platypus.
08:23And there was cheese in it the next morning.
08:27Just...
08:28It's a stupid joke.
08:28Well done, honestly.
08:29Thanks, man.
08:30Okay, since I played a mean character to you, what were your honest thoughts about me while
08:36filming?
08:36Did I get you confused with the character?
08:39Did you?
08:39I knew it the whole time.
08:41I mean, you were really mean between takes as is.
08:43Right.
08:45No, I never, like, lost, like, this is Haley Akira right now.
08:49What's going on?
08:51No, you did a great job with it.
08:52But no part of me was like, wow, dude, Haley's f***ing mean.
08:56What a d***.
08:57What was your favorite scene or favorite moment?
09:01Honestly, my favorite moment was the one thing they posted, like, the bloopers when
09:06you came out with the towel.
09:09And all three of us just couldn't.
09:11That was the last day of filming.
09:11That's the first time in vertical history that we've ever had, like, 40 takes.
09:14Yeah, I think.
09:17I remember the crew wasn't happy.
09:19No one was happy.
09:21I don't think we were even that happy.
09:23I remember being annoyed at myself that I couldn't stop.
09:26And I remember in the clip when you came out, it was just me doing this and, like, we tried
09:31to hold it all in.
09:32I didn't look at you.
09:34You couldn't do eye contact during that.
09:37But you, like, trying to hold it in was the, like, looking at you.
09:41And I'm just shaking off camera.
09:42Your body was shaking with laughter.
09:45It was just so funny.
09:46And your head was down.
09:47And then Josh would come out.
09:48And I'm like, guys, I literally can't get my lines out.
09:51What are we doing?
09:52There's so many scenes where he's just, like, almost thinking to the side.
09:56He's just holding it.
09:58Man, I've ruined so many scenes and verticals.
10:02I think there's been verticals where you can see me laughing in the actual scene.
10:06I've had lines cut from verticals because I couldn't get through a line.
10:09That's hilarious.
10:10Yeah, I'm not good at my job.
10:13I don't know why they hired me.
10:16You're good at your job.
10:17Thanks, man.
10:18You're a phenomenal actor.
10:19And you're a joy to have on set.
10:20Thanks, man.
10:21That is why you get hired.
10:22You guys do.
10:23Thanks.
10:24You too.
10:24It was a lot of fun.
10:25This was, no, it was such a fun experience.
10:27It was so fun to do.
10:28And, yeah, like, just the in between the scenes or, like, the trying to do a scene and, like,
10:33not being able to do it was so much fun.
10:35It really was.
10:36Yeah.
10:36Now, Hayley, I have some questions for you, actually.
10:39Oh, let me get back to it.
10:39I prepared earlier.
10:40Okay.
10:43You often play the abandoned wife.
10:45How does it feel to be the one making bold choices at someone else's expense now?
10:50Oh, no way.
10:53It's in the card, guys.
10:57Um, it felt real.
11:00No, I'm just kidding.
11:01It felt good.
11:03It was a really fun change in pace, actually, to not be crying.
11:06Well, actually, I sobbed a lot in our show, but I wasn't crying because of abuse.
11:12And that was cool.
11:14That was a cool change in pace.
11:15Um, and it was fun to play the character that's kind of snappy and just, there's just a little
11:21more room to play with it.
11:22Yeah, definitely.
11:24Yeah, and it just, it's fun.
11:26It's, it was a little more fun than the...
11:29Was it, I mean, something that wasn't less emotionally taxing?
11:31Like, going home, driving home was a little easier than...
11:34Definitely.
11:35I had, like, my few scenes where I had to have those mental breakdowns, but everyone was
11:40really great about it.
11:41And we only did a few takes of them, so I didn't have to really exhaust myself doing
11:45it, which was nice.
11:46Yeah.
11:46Um, but outside of that, I mean, most of my days were just being so mean to you.
11:51Dude, people were so mean to me.
11:54Like, telling you to clean his shoes.
11:57Yeah.
11:58Yeah, I kind of wish you would have, honestly.
12:00It was rude of me not to, look.
12:01I, I, I was...
12:02It was being a bad host.
12:03Yeah.
12:04Yeah.
12:04My fault.
12:05Kind of treatment that I'm used to, and it threw me off.
12:08I guess so much.
12:10But...
12:10I understand.
12:11I'm sorry.
12:12It's all right.
12:13Next time I got you.
12:13I appreciate that.
12:14Of course.
12:15Just learning it better.
12:16100%.
12:16Um, I show off, off topic question a little bit randomly.
12:20Okay.
12:21But you, you're not really the, like, your favorite thing is not yelling on camera, right?
12:26I hate it.
12:27So did you end up doing it?
12:28I didn't see the final take.
12:29Did you end up?
12:31Um...
12:31Or did you kind of keep it in?
12:32I, I did like a, like a 50 percenter.
12:36Okay.
12:36I hate yelling on camera.
12:38I know this.
12:38It feels so vulnerable.
12:41More than crying?
12:42Yes.
12:43Because you, you had me feed your line really, really loud.
12:47Yeah.
12:47So that you would be comfortable yelling.
12:49Exactly.
12:49And I can't remember if, I felt like we didn't point.
12:51I could have done more.
12:52What scene was that?
12:53At the banquet.
12:54Something happens, right?
12:55It was at the banquet.
12:56I think it's when I, like, I'm like, I'm going to make you pay.
12:59And then you are like, no.
13:01Yeah.
13:01Or something like, oh, what are you, the shooting?
13:03No.
13:04It was like, right, right before he gets taken out the first time.
13:07But.
13:07Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
13:09Okay.
13:09Yeah.
13:09Something like that.
13:10Yeah.
13:10But I hate yelling on camera.
13:12It makes me feel so insecure.
13:14And I get really in my head and I'm like, oh, my gosh, everybody's now going to look at
13:17me, which is crazy because I'm an actor.
13:19It's kind of a deal.
13:20It's, yeah, but then it was also like a, I feel like I take up too much space.
13:25And then I just, it's just like a whole, I'm in therapy.
13:27We're going to figure it out.
13:28Well, you got to take up space.
13:30Yeah.
13:31And it's, that's something I'm definitely trying to work through.
13:33Like playing, like, angry out on camera is really difficult for me.
13:37And that kind of is therapy though now.
13:39It has started.
13:41Is it cathartic?
13:42Now it is.
13:43At first it would be like, I'd read the scene and be like, I genuinely don't know if I
13:47can do this.
13:48But now it's like, okay, let's get in a fight.
13:50Let's let it out.
13:51And it feels kind of good in the moment and afterwards, but really having to scream is
13:56so like, it makes me feel sick, but I'm getting better.
14:01I really don't know why.
14:02I think it just makes me feel like.
14:04You feel like bad being mean or they do like just being seen.
14:06It's like very vulnerable.
14:08Yeah.
14:08It makes me feel very vulnerable.
14:10Being like angry and mad.
14:11Interesting.
14:12It's easier for me on camera to be seen angry than actually vulnerable.
14:16Anger is almost like a coverup.
14:18So it's like, you know, it's like a secondary emotion.
14:20Yeah.
14:20Anger to cover up our actual vulnerability.
14:22Yeah.
14:22I feel like anger is not vulnerable in a way where I'm just like yelling and screaming.
14:26It's like, that's vulnerable is like, I'm sad.
14:29Yeah.
14:29I feel like, I don't know.
14:31Maybe, maybe in the future it becomes the opposite almost.
14:35Yeah.
14:35No, absolutely.
14:36All right.
14:37Haley.
14:37How did your change in dynamic from almost like generally vulnerable in the past going
14:45into like much more mean and evil?
14:47What was your approach to Kira trying to like, now you're prepping a character that's, you
14:54know, you get the comments.
14:55You know how your character was.
14:57Yeah.
14:57She sucked.
14:58So how was your prep work like for that?
15:00Well, it was hard.
15:01It was a struggle the first couple of days of filming actually, because I've really wanted
15:05her to still be likable.
15:06And I tried to play her like she's mean and she's nasty.
15:11And she's like, obviously doing really messed up things to Neil, but I wanted her to also
15:16be like, she does not feel great about it, but this character's written just like, she
15:22does, she feels fine.
15:23Like she's chilling.
15:24Got in the way at all?
15:25Like a hundred percent.
15:27A hundred percent.
15:28Because then we'd do another take and they'd be like, be mean.
15:30Yeah.
15:31I'm like, that was mean.
15:33I remember that.
15:34Yeah.
15:34Yeah.
15:35I remember that.
15:35I was like, guys, I was really mean to him just now.
15:38And they were like, Haley, give more.
15:41You said, please go away.
15:43Yeah.
15:43Like, I politely hand you the jacket and walk away.
15:48Yeah.
15:48And they're like, toss it at him.
15:50And I was like, what?
15:51Yeah.
15:52But yeah, I really wanted her to still be likable and have qualities about her that people would
15:57see and be like, ah, we almost understand.
16:02Did you ever hit a point where you were like, all right, I got to let this go.
16:04I got to just be me.
16:05Yeah.
16:06There were certain scenes where I was like, let her rip.
16:08Good.
16:09What scenes?
16:10Um, the opening scene of me coming home from drinking with Simon.
16:15You'll take some time.
16:16Hey, where have you been?
16:16It's one in the morning.
16:18You have a condition.
16:19You can't drink.
16:21You know that.
16:22Yeah, Simon, I just got home.
16:26That smile.
16:27She never smiled at me like that.
16:29And like that interaction that we had, I was like, I'm just going to play her real, just
16:35I don't care about you at all.
16:38And, but then there were other scenes where I defend you and we had those things.
16:44So that's also, you know, something I was thinking about when going into her is like,
16:47she does have her moments where she's like, stop guys, like, let it go, let it go.
16:51But.
16:51Yeah.
16:52I mean, you are like a naturally likable person.
16:53So when you just are yourself and it comes through, people are going to probably naturally
16:57have redeemable qualities anyway.
16:59That's so nice.
17:01Did you play her like she always did love Neil?
17:04You know, the first scene?
17:05Yeah.
17:05Okay.
17:06Except, yeah, there were like moments where I think she really cared for him.
17:10And then gradually as the show goes, she's like, no, that care was actually love and
17:15I'm an idiot.
17:15And I tried to play it like that where she's like, yeah, he's cool, whatever.
17:19But like, I love my best friends.
17:21Like, you know, like love can be in so many forms.
17:25Yeah.
17:26She was blind.
17:27She was blind.
17:28Binded by Simon.
17:30Who wouldn't be?
17:32Josh.
17:33There we go.
17:34I'm so excited to ask you these questions.
17:37How do you feel to play a villain?
17:38It was actually so fun.
17:41Like, yeah, I should probably check.
17:46You did it a little too well.
17:48I will say your wife is a banging bod and her ass fits perfectly in my hand.
17:56What the hell is wrong with you?
17:57Was injuring his hand not enough?
18:00Some would say.
18:02I never left character.
18:03I don't know what happened.
18:04Yeah.
18:05They had to pry the prop gun from your hand.
18:08I keep whispering to it.
18:12I might be, like I was saying earlier, it might be easier to be angry.
18:15Because angry is such like, at least for dudes, right?
18:18Such a natural cover up.
18:19No, it is.
18:20It's much easier to be for me to play angry.
18:23Right.
18:23We're afraid of vulnerability as men.
18:25We're just like, let's do anger.
18:26Because that doesn't look, you know, like we use anger as like our front to be not, yeah, we're not defenseless.
18:34We're angry.
18:35As opposed to like, I'm actually feeling sad or anxious.
18:37I'm going to cover that with anger.
18:39Yeah.
18:40And so anything Simon's feeling, usually it's like, he's probably insecure.
18:45You know, he just got embarrassed in front of everybody.
18:47As opposed to insecurity, it's like, I'm going to cover that with anger.
18:50Which I feel like, in reality, I do that naturally.
18:52And I'm like, no, it's probably mature.
18:54But then you get to kind of like, instead of all the work that I do to just recognize that vulnerability is okay.
19:01Right.
19:01You just let it all go for the character.
19:02And it's like, ah, easy.
19:03All the work I did doesn't matter.
19:05It's awesome.
19:06But yeah, so playing the villain was almost like, it's like, okay, now I know that I use this as a defense.
19:12So now I can know that that's what Simon's doing.
19:15Wow.
19:15That's really fun.
19:16That's a beautiful answer.
19:17Yeah.
19:18I'm also like, not a complete idiot.
19:20No.
19:21It's wild.
19:22We can put that on the record.
19:23Josh is smart.
19:25Yeah.
19:25Hold on.
19:27Didn't go that far.
19:29I'm just kidding.
19:30Anyway.
19:30So yeah, that's my answer.
19:31Did you find any parts of yourself in Simon that you like, maybe were scared to see or
19:36that you were like, oh yeah, I'm going to use this outside of.
19:41Hopefully not use it.
19:42But I did see parts of myself that I was like, you know, I, like I said, having played football
19:48for 13 years and like on the field, it's like your anger is perfect.
19:53Stay angry.
19:53And then in life that doesn't translate well, it was almost like, this is what happens
19:58when anger goes unchecked, especially in men.
20:00Yeah.
20:01Like when we don't approach our vulnerability and we use anger as a defense, it will go that
20:06far.
20:06You know, like you kind of have to understand that, like you might see the extreme of someone
20:11else and be like, oh, I'm not that, but you're on the road to it.
20:14So just because you see the extreme and say you're not that doesn't mean you can't ever be
20:18that.
20:18No.
20:18And so it's almost like, dang, that hopefully I'm never doing any of that crap in real life,
20:24but there is a world where I never work on myself.
20:27I have all these issues and you just let it go.
20:31So, yeah.
20:32That's amazing.
20:32Good answer.
20:33Yeah.
20:33Thanks, guys.
20:34Wow.
20:34Great answer, man.
20:35I like you talking.
20:36Yeah.
20:37That's just silly goopy stuff.
20:38Okay.
20:39What was your fun, like favorite moment on set?
20:41One of the funniest memories you have?
20:42Oh, man.
20:43There's so many.
20:44There's too many, but I will say the tennis court was really fun.
20:48I knew you were going to say the tennis court.
20:49I knew it.
20:51Why am I even here watching all this?
20:56And you're going to go down and you're just going to hit it just like that.
20:59Oh, my God.
20:59Because I am just getting used to saying yes to whatever she wants.
21:03I'm so glad they kept it.
21:05Well, not that long ago.
21:06Like when I was, that was completely ad-libbed and I didn't know if they'd keep it.
21:10Oh, my gosh.
21:11We need to talk about all the improv.
21:12Oh, there was so many.
21:13That was kept.
21:13Yeah.
21:14All the ad-libbing of like.
21:15I wish they kept, good boy, you're walking, you're so strong, you're so brave.
21:20They kept like, good job.
21:22What was that?
21:22Every time I picked him up from the ground, no matter what time he fell, it's like multiple
21:27times that he's just on the ground.
21:29Anytime he stood up, I'd be like, can you walk?
21:31Oh, big boy, you're so strong, you're so brave.
21:34It's insane.
21:35I love it.
21:35So funny.
21:37Yeah.
21:38So that was such a good time.
21:39I mean, yeah, you're, you know, that's not going to go.
21:44If I fucked that up, really.
21:45No, I walked in with Kelsey and we were like, that was really fucking funny.
21:49That was so funny, so natural.
21:51They cut perfectly.
21:52I'm so glad.
21:52I thought I laughed in the line, but I was like, well, not that long ago.
21:57Like that was, but it was so good though.
21:58Yeah.
21:59It was perfect.
21:59It was fantastic.
22:00Thank you, man.
22:01It was, I'm glad I kept it.
22:03Well, then, then the, it's not clocking to you that I'm standing on business.
22:07You wrecked the internet by saying that.
22:09Yeah.
22:09That would have gotten the most like things about messages.
22:14And it's funny because I remember that day.
22:16It was like when that video was going around.
22:18Yeah.
22:19And I was talking to, or makeup was saying it.
22:22And I was like, Olivia, love you, Olivia.
22:24Yeah.
22:24She's the best.
22:26And then I was like, I'm going to try to add that in.
22:28Yeah.
22:28And to this, to this scene, I remember doing it being like, if I make it a joke, they might
22:34want to cut it.
22:35So I got to deliver it like really genuinely.
22:38And they never cut it out.
22:40Which is the funniest part of our show.
22:42Is that everything's so genuine.
22:44Yeah.
22:44Yeah.
22:44That, I, I, I also, we added in the, I had an I'm gagged at one point.
22:48Did you really?
22:49At Nas X, we were like, that'd be funny.
22:52And I was like, guys, I'm, I'm gagged right now by all of you.
22:54I'm so glad of you.
22:55Thanks, man.
22:56Oh my gosh.
22:58I like that people saw and got a reaction to it.
23:01That was fun.
23:01The worst part about the clocking on business line was that I'm supposed to be crying in
23:06the scene.
23:07Oh.
23:07And you're just coming at me.
23:09Well, I think.
23:10Kira, it's not clocking to you that I am standing on business.
23:13And I'm like.
23:14When it was your coverage that I, I stopped saying it.
23:17You did.
23:17It was really nice of you.
23:18It was just so like ridiculous.
23:19You were like, I won't say it when the camera's on you.
23:21I was like, thank God.
23:22OK, you want to play a game?
23:25No, I should.
23:26No, I'm sorry.
23:28We're playing a game, Josh.
23:29I'm sorry, Mom.
23:31We're going to do this just as their characters, actually.
23:35So we have Simon and we have Neil.
23:37And they're going to do a fun little improv game where I'm going to give them a scenario.
23:41They're going to improv it out.
23:42And when I say switch, they're going to switch roles.
23:45So then Ben will become Simon and Josh will become Neil.
23:50So scenario number one is you catch your spouse cutting the turkey at the Christmas dinner.
23:57There we go.
23:59With a different person.
24:00OK.
24:02Turkey.
24:04There goes the pillow.
24:06Simon, you raggedy little bitch.
24:09Oh, OK.
24:10Listen.
24:11What?
24:12Not only am I better looking than you.
24:15But I'm much better than you.
24:17How many push-ups can you do?
24:18At least 12.
24:20Dude, 13.
24:21No way.
24:21I don't believe you.
24:2213?
24:23I hate you.
24:24Switch.
24:25I hate you more.
24:27But I respect it.
24:28I do respect it.
24:29And I'm proud of you.
24:30But I need you to be away from my woman right now.
24:32I'm going to cut this turkey.
24:34And then I'm pouring gravy on it.
24:36Right in front of your stupid face.
24:38Honestly, at this point, you can have her.
24:40I'm going to space.
24:41What's another scenario?
24:42Can I come in?
24:43No.
24:43Can I get joints?
24:44Cut.
24:44Yo, you, Neil.
24:45Cut.
24:46Cut.
24:47You two are brothers.
24:51OK.
24:51And mom and dad got you the Christmas gift that you wanted.
24:57Right.
24:57I'll just make her parents.
25:00And he won't give it to you to play with.
25:04Yeah.
25:04It's your favorite Nas X rocket ship toy.
25:07Oh, yeah.
25:07I got it.
25:08Action.
25:09OK.
25:09Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please.
25:13I want the rocket ship.
25:15Mom and dad picked me to have this rocket ship.
25:17They'd like you so much more.
25:19Because I'm better objectively.
25:20Dude, that's bags.
25:22I know.
25:22But can I offer this up?
25:24No.
25:25OK.
25:25But go ahead.
25:26I'm going to still do it.
25:27You can.
25:28I like it.
25:30I don't.
25:30I would like to have it.
25:31OK.
25:32OK.
25:33Maybe we can have like a divorced parents.
25:35I get on the weekends.
25:36You can have it.
25:38Nice.
25:38Switch.
25:39In 14 years.
25:40And then in 14 years, I'm going to break it in front of you.
25:43No.
25:44That's like not even a fair deal.
25:45Well, you want to make it or not?
25:46I want it now.
25:47You can have it in 14 years.
25:48I'm 12.
25:48In pieces.
25:50You can have it when you're 26.
25:52That's way too late.
25:53How do I know you're going to want that thing anymore?
25:55I don't know.
25:57But that's the offer I'm giving you.
25:5814 years.
25:59How about this?
25:59Switch back.
26:01How about I take this?
26:03Cut.
26:04You take this?
26:06I just had 30 seconds as a director with these two.
26:10Now we're the worst.
26:11I'm so sorry.
26:12Oh, I apologize to Royce multiple times on set on different days.
26:15Like, I'm sorry about this.
26:17The one that I really apologize for was the dinner scene.
26:20It just didn't make any sense.
26:22You guys have one.
26:24We improv'd like a dinner scene to have like a sweet flashback, but just like different
26:29beats of it just like didn't, like we were supposed to be having a dinner, but there was
26:32no food.
26:33And then it was like little lines about like me being on like my period.
26:37And he was like, what?
26:38It was so funny.
26:39And they added in.
26:40It was, I think like we were like done with the day.
26:42And Royce was like, the editors need another scene in there real quick.
26:45Yeah.
26:45And it's kind of threw it in.
26:47You just need to hear about your, your monthly shenanigans.
26:50I think we changed it.
26:52We ended up taking that out.
26:53And then we talked about me.
26:55I was just like, I don't like you're doing too much for me.
26:57Yeah.
26:58Yeah.
26:58But it was like just because since it wasn't, we know, we just had stuff from crafty on
27:03our dinner plates.
27:03It's just fruit snacks.
27:05It was a big pot of, wasn't there a big thing of spaghetti too?
27:10There was pasta from leftover lunch.
27:11Yeah.
27:12Okay.
27:12Sounds like.
27:13And then, and then it was the hardest scene I've ever had to get through.
27:18Yeah.
27:19And it was like a 12 second scene, but I'm staring directly at our DP with his camera behind
27:24Ben.
27:25And I just mouthed him.
27:26I was like, I'm so sorry.
27:27Cause he's just like, I was like, we're going to get through it.
27:29I swear to you, like, we're going to get through this.
27:31And then they didn't put it in the show, but we were talking.
27:33We're like, it's probably because there wasn't a single clean take.
27:37The DP, Ilya, wasn't it?
27:39Yeah.
27:40Ilya and Colin.
27:41They're great.
27:41And I remember doing it and like, we were laughing like, this is so fun.
27:44I think Worst was kind of like, oh, you guys, you're so crazy.
27:46I know.
27:47I was like, oh, this is such a fun time.
27:49And then Haley went, the camera guy behind us looks so mad.
27:52I was like, oh, they all hate us.
27:54Every single person hated us on set.
27:57I was like, this is a great time, right guys?
27:58My camera is sideways.
28:00I don't want to be here.
28:01Olivia is just in the corner and she's like, wrap it up.
28:05Yeah.
28:05And I was like, sorry.
28:07And it was never used.
28:09I want that footage.
28:10That'd be fun footage.
28:11Yeah.
28:12You're a fruit snack spaghetti?
28:13A fruit snack spaghetti.
28:14The fillet of fruit.
28:16That's what you said in the scene.
28:17You said, I have served you my fillet of fruit.
28:20Are you serious?
28:21I did.
28:21You did.
28:22All right, guys, let's play real fast questions where we're each going to have three seconds
28:30to answer the question before it bounces to the next person.
28:33Haley, okay.
28:35I can't wait.
28:36I agree.
28:36Ben, thank you.
28:37Josh, thank you.
28:38What emoji do you use the most?
28:40The monkey emoji.
28:42Which one?
28:43There's three.
28:43Him smiling.
28:44Cute.
28:45Yeah.
28:46That's a sock ball.
28:48Who is your celebrity crush?
28:50Ben Taylor.
28:51Got you, bro.
28:54Thanks, man.
28:55What is your biggest deal breaker in a relationship?
28:58Bruh.
28:59You don't make me laugh.
29:02Heartbreak or regret?
29:05Well, I don't have heartbreak.
29:07I have my wife.
29:08She's the best thing in the world.
29:10She's really beautiful.
29:11Very kind.
29:11We love her.
29:12She's stunning.
29:13She is.
29:14She's perfect.
29:15And she's a good actress.
29:16Chocolate or flowers?
29:17Chocolate.
29:17You don't even need three seconds for that.
29:19Who falls in love faster?
29:21You or your character?
29:24My characters.
29:26Who here would be the worst fake spouse?
29:30Josh.
29:31Josh for sure.
29:33I know.
29:33Without a doubt.
29:35Thank you guys so much for watching our shows and giving us a reason to be able to sit in
29:39a room together again and laugh this much.
29:41We're really grateful and thank you so much for watching this podcast episode.
29:45This was like the best.
29:47I'm so happy I got to see you guys again.
29:48Yeah.
29:48Thanks for being here for my last ever podcast.
29:52Okay.
29:53Guys, before we go, do you want to take a selfie on the Polaroid?
29:56It's tradition.
29:57Not yet.
29:59I'd love to.
