00:51:12the progression of introducing color and introducing prints and then combining colors that you wouldn't
00:51:17think that you would ever you know put together yes it was eight looks but it's 21 pieces all
00:51:22interchangeable everything could have been swapped this top with this skirt with this jacket with this
00:51:26bottom it's really fun to make you stood out but you stood out in a good way you found a way to
00:51:33put an evening gown in the context of your active wear world that you're building it's magical what
00:51:40you've been able to do to elevate the active wear slash athleisure space the culotte the bra like i see
00:51:49it already it's stunning wow what an honor i think the really interesting parts of your collection were the
00:51:57pieces where you took the inspiration of active wear but did it in a more high fashion kind of luxury
00:52:04technique way it kind of took it to a whole new place my only criticism is off of the runway it could
00:52:12go a little costume your styling was phenomenal thank you you gave every girl that ponytail the hoops
00:52:21and the same boots so everything felt very cohesive but what most impressed me was the pant
00:52:29version of this and turning this pattern into a 3d perspective made me think wow you could do things
00:52:36on a bigger scale wow that's my heart is full i mean so much thank you so much britney thank you
00:52:44dish me tell us all about your collection tell us about your inspiration you want to know everything
00:52:50i wanted to showcase the good side of things the not so good side when it gets a little rocky and
00:52:57then when you overpower the darkness and the things that kind of like build you to be the stronger
00:53:02version of yourself the first opening look showcased the innocence innocence kind of like in the innocence
00:53:08my version of innocence and the red represent rage and the black just represent darkness this dress
00:53:16actually represents anxiety that you overpower to kind of like turn it into something positive
00:53:23i really love that this is called the anxiety gown because it doesn't feel like the anxiety is oppressive
00:53:33it feels like you're moving through it you got to that place where evening wear can become art
00:53:40so you did something very special and very moving for me today thank you bishmi it was cohesive it was
00:53:47inspiring it was sophisticated and most importantly it was well edited thank you the juxtaposition of
00:53:54that kind of urban influence with the elegance of your work was genius thank you bishmi you always
00:54:03surprised me and as an editor i can see these on the pages of our magazine on celebrities your clothes
00:54:12just have that fashion with a capital f you have a gift and i want you to feel confident about it thank
00:54:19you nina that means a lot the only look that i didn't think you needed was probably the latex gown
00:54:28gotcha because we've kind of moved away from the sleeves which used to be your signature and i think
00:54:35that you are a designer that has so many ideas you don't really have to stick to one thank you so
00:54:41much bishmi all right lawrence my inspiration was paris i'm an african girl i was born in normandy so i
00:54:49wanted to bring both sides together and create my story that's why i had so much hardware leather lace
00:54:57and organza which is like two worlds that usually don't really meet i love coming to project runway
00:55:04because i get to shop i want that i just love this so much i would love it with a flared pants
00:55:13okay she could do that we're going to exchange numbers no problem i got you because i need that
00:55:18yeah laurence you deliver garments that are so precise and well made i love that pull and push of
00:55:30the romantic with the hard that very sculptural jacket and the shine these are things that could
00:55:37look terrible together but will never do under your supervision you're a tough candidate to beat
00:55:46thank you you exude an elegance and a sophistication and i can see evolution in your work but it's still
00:55:55signature the one look that i kind of had trouble with the purple thing yeah where'd that come from
00:56:01that wasn't the direction i was going with the suit but i had to change the shape and it was supposed
00:56:07to be something else trust your gut is if you have that instinct i think pull it okay i love the duality of
00:56:14your inspiration but mostly i was excited to see a new side of you you were able to incorporate
00:56:24this joy this fluidity this poetry this romance that we haven't associated with your work before
00:56:31and you turned up the volume in the history of project runway i think you make clothes that look
00:56:36more expensive than anything this show has ever seen thank you

00:57:04so we have three designers here who are worthy of winning the prize and unfortunately only one
00:57:15can win who do you see as the future of fashion right i feel like there is a case to be made for
00:57:22each and every one of these designers they just are so incredibly different for instance with britney
00:57:27britney she's in a class of her own because she's designing for activewear and so it's challenging to
00:57:34even have britney in the same sentence as laurence or brishby with britney she got eight out of eight
00:57:40you gave britney an eight out of eight i was impressed with all of it honestly i believe that she
00:57:46is capable of much more than just activewear but also there's nothing wrong with just having
00:57:52that absolutely repetition is reputation that's really good yeah i like that that pant that she
00:57:59did she took the fabric and she turned it into that 3d little texture yes she's mixing colors and
00:58:07textures that are not that easy to mix at all at all that category is so important right now that active
00:58:15wear right my question is what is the longevity of that right fashion is always changing so who has
00:58:24that longevity or who is looking forward to fashion vishmi for me had the singular piece of the evening
00:58:32inside of that anxiety gown he gave us a really well edited a really thoughtful show that made you think
00:58:39the art on the finale piece the tricks that work on the runway the big tool train and the wow factor
00:58:47of that volume but he added pieces of him and his heart in every single piece it was like a crescendo
00:58:54right yeah for eight pieces i thought that was very well done he created consistency through asymmetry
00:59:01from the hoodie dress to the top and skirt dress the consistency is there but they're done differently
00:59:07but it kind of follows through and then it goes into a print which was really strong into the fringe
00:59:12dress not my favorite but that idea worked i didn't feel like it was fit properly it wasn't but
00:59:19he has these elements that could like rock the red carpet he reminds me of a telfar everything had
00:59:25like a street wear street style influence but ultimately the thing that caught fire were those bags
00:59:32that's the business some designers just love to make clothes but not bishmi he loves the accessory
00:59:39and the clothes well you know who i'd love to see make a bag laurence oh her technique and her seaming
00:59:47those are the things that you really value in clothing a mastery of technique inventive construction
00:59:52invented construction no joke she's just remarkable like every single stitch and moment was really
01:00:01brilliant she's a sexy tailor she's a sexy tailor with edge right but she's not a good editor because
01:00:07she had this purple thing i would have done anything to get rid of that the moments where she messed up
01:00:14were forgettable to me to the point where i would give her double points for each look that i loved
01:00:20because i loved it so much the biker jacket could not fit better and same with the skirt this is
01:00:26what i would want to go to the red carpet and with all of that said when this is a finale runway
01:00:33moment give me a little more sometimes wow doesn't need to be big it doesn't need to be
01:00:37we're talking about again i mean i'm a gown guy just take our breath away and i'm just saying
01:00:40sometimes things can be quiet in their power yeah yeah and that speaks to her taste level yeah that's
01:00:48what makes her such a tasteful elevated refined sophisticated designer that red jacket and patent
01:00:56leather with the lace payette skirt was fabulous yeah it absolutely is it's hard all of them have
01:01:05that super power that will make them a phenomenal winner okay do we have the winner of project runway
