00:00:00Now for the finale you are the all-stars of the all-stars and we are so proud of you congratulations
00:00:13when we started this 12 challenges ago up on that rooftop I had no idea who would end up here tonight
00:00:24and we can't wait to see what do you have to show us Bishmi I know how much this means to you I want
00:00:35you to go through this next period of time and really drag out that confidence on yourself pull
00:00:40it out we're meant to be here this is your time thank you Brandon my journey has been a steady
00:00:47growth it was very difficult for me to make it it's literally been two months and probably like a
00:00:52day since my sister passed away well you did a beautiful job and you can consider this a
00:00:58tribute to her thank you this was the first look that came out it really set the tone and I'm not
00:01:04a person that been through the things that I've been through and still being able to make a way
00:01:08for themselves oh hey girl you are on trend if not making your own trends Laurence you are always so
00:01:21exact and measured I want you to go back to that denim dress where you showed us a softer side of you
00:01:31revel in that freedom okay it's in you just show it I will to be here right now it feels like a great
00:01:39accomplishment this has been a long road I'm actually very much in awe it's damn near perfect thank you
00:01:47fashion has always been in my DNA since I was 16 so um I got pregnant when I was 16 and um I got a letter
00:02:00telling me that I was accepted to fashion school did you go to fashion school yeah the way that you're
00:02:06able to cut a garment is incredible as Alicia Keys would say that girl is on fire all right Brittany
00:02:15yes my feather Queen yes we all really respect that you have carved out a lane for yourself in fashion
00:02:24you've earned this spot in the top three and we're all really excited to see what you give us thank you
00:02:31as a designer I have really learned that my aesthetic my craft and what I do best is enough this is
00:02:40unexpected coming from you and it's nice to see your range I'm seeing forward-thinking ideas from you
00:02:46this just looks cool if I'm true to myself and I can stand by my work and have that conviction then
00:02:53that is all that matters you guys can finally exhale thank you you made it you each have ten thousand
00:03:06dollars and eight days to make eight looks to be shown at the finale wow that's one look a day a collection
00:03:17that will win that will win it all yeah we could do that mm-hmm fashion designer Christian Siriano
00:03:31journalist Elaine Welteroff fashion designer Brandon Maxwell and editor-in-chief of Elle magazine Nina
00:03:38Garcia are looking for America's next great fashion designer at stake for the winner a quarter of a
00:03:45million dollars supplied by pilot friction erasable pens a feature in Elle magazine and a career
00:03:51changing mentorship with the Council of Fashion Designers of America this is Project Runway all-stars
00:03:59oh my gosh can I have this oh this is nice as hell whoa amazing hi Christian come in come in
00:04:23Christian Seriano's atelier it's beautiful and it's very inspiring he started from Project Runway and
00:04:31achieved all the success in the world so you have to believe that it's possible and that you'll you'll be
00:04:37there one day this is it you made it does it feel good yeah today you start to work on your collections
00:04:46that you've been working for this entire competition this is such an amazing opportunity you get to make
00:04:52whatever you want to make be who you want to be shock not only the judges but the whole world is watching
00:04:59so it's one of those great moments you know I think you really have to take the judges on a journey yeah and I
00:05:06think that they'll really appreciate that you know I have a good surprise for you we're gonna give you some help this
00:05:12week oh cuz you need it eight looks in eight days is wild yeah we're gonna bring back some of your
00:05:19eliminated friends whoa crochet okay Carason and Fabio fish me last challenge you get the advantage of
00:05:30picking first of course I'm gonna pick my good good girlfriend project I don't think we're gonna
00:05:35fight anyway I don't think we're gonna fight Fabio yeah like that's what I thought yeah and we're also
00:05:42gonna give you $10,000 and you guys can go anywhere in the fashion district that you want yeah cuz the
00:05:48clothes got to be good yeah listen yeah it is big stakes all-stars you have to impress these judges yeah
00:05:56this is it yes all right bye Christian thank you this is the very first type of like freedom to shop
00:06:15that works all around the garment district we have three and a half hours to shop Elaine really wants me
00:06:20to like lean into who I am so my strategy is to create a collection that embrace this active wear
00:06:27path but also progressing into active wear as like evening wear and use color tell a story of things
00:06:37that just get more and more intense anything else or anything no that's it on to the next I'm one of the
00:06:44most commercial designers in this competition to do active wear as high fashion is really risky but it
00:06:53doesn't mean that I can't give a very inspiring just absolute killer runway show hello how are you
00:07:02good my specialty is leather this is actually nice there's a couple like that but I am going to do some
00:07:11things that people don't really expect of me which is playing with colors it's color is nice greens
00:07:17purples red and try different types of fabrics to do like a mix so I have this color that color I have
00:07:26black I always listen to Madame Nina so I'm really playing with the masculine and feminine the hard the
00:07:33self basically my collection is a marriage of the two thank you so much yes baby that's what I'm looking
00:07:39for all the good signs today fashion is literally my diary my saving grace my religion I really really
00:07:48love this the vibe from my collection is inspired by my process of grieving I want to showcase what I'm
00:07:57feeling and how I'm feeling she's cute I ain't balling on the budget this time I know for sure I'm going to
00:08:05use white creams black and different shades of red oh this dope to be able to tell my story with my
00:08:13collection is my way of being able to honor my sister okay you guys it's it's real it's really
00:08:26real hold on I got it you are so sweet oh hello hello room I kind of like this setup right here
00:08:40in order for me to calm my nerves and just making it feel at home I put up my sister's obituary now she
00:08:53gonna be here making the collection with you my sister told me before she transcended that I got
00:08:58this I dedicate this all to her let's get it baby
00:09:01this is a coat yeah this is beautiful what you over here cutting yeah cut number two
00:09:31cutting up you're on number two the time frame that we have to produce this collection is insane
00:09:40I'm gonna have some flowers here I'm just going as I go do I know what I'm making yet no I do not
00:09:49because I don't have any drawings my collection it's a little blurry in my mind Kelly this is finally done
00:09:56oh my goodness oh man I'm tired yeah it's been a day but it's time for us to go let's go do the day
00:10:06one down baby coming up let the competition begin I only have three looks God save me I said my stress
00:10:20that high but now it is you're gonna have to sew like you've never sewn before yeah I know not this
00:10:26pink pants like she looks like a little kid why are you so pouty um I want to get finished sewing
00:10:31this is overwhelming I'm over it
00:10:36all right what are we doing here hey look I'm wearing something I made that's cute
00:10:47hi everybody hey what's up Christian yay all right we have a big day today guys you'll be selecting
00:11:00your models for your show that's huge absolutely all right I'm coming to take a peek before the models
00:11:06get here Brittany hey look at all this I know busy yes it's girly and cool and fun and young
00:11:18maybe you need that one sophisticated thing yeah I need it I mean imagine this could be like the most
00:11:24badass pants yeah don't even look to the left they are going couture du jour over there there is that
00:11:33balance of what's too simplistic yeah I just have to do it in a way that's like hey here's what you
00:11:38love about me but like in a show form yes I have to remember that yeah okay goodbye
00:11:42oh lord we got a lot going on up in here it's me tell me everything so right now I'm in like this
00:11:53like kill the old you but rebirth of the new you so like a phoenix reborn reborn yeah I like it what
00:12:01I'm kind of like doing is doing like this white look that's like here that's yeah that's kind of
00:12:06like not having experienced life I want to ease them into the drama yes this is the opening this is the
00:12:13opening this is how the progression goes in this in the collection yeah and then in the red it's kind of
00:12:18like has the cargo pants with the top like the born of the phoenix and then last thing is just uh
00:12:26this couture yeah moment like all of this is depression and anxiety and so I literally want
00:12:32her to walk and conquer that I think that's kind of cool thanks Christian I'm getting thank you
00:12:39you smell good always wrong yes so what did you kind of come up with as like your inspiration
00:12:49my inspiration is a night in Paris because what is the color palette so I have
00:12:55purple purple right red I love that you're going to do this purple too but I haven't figured that one
00:13:03yet what about even making a very classic beautiful suit yeah yeah what's the opening look what is that
00:13:12I don't know you don't know yes yeah a different space yeah like you're still planning yeah what you
00:13:17want to make yeah I would get your little sketchbook out I promise it's all my time in my house but it'll
00:13:24help if you have a better plan all right well good luck thanks this is a rollercoaster here
00:13:30my brain is like fried legs to the necks all right models are here I can't wait to do this model
00:13:44casting what are you looking for Brittany I want something that like really just gives off bad girl
00:13:50energy what do you think this just want a badass look around diversity and body don't be fighting
00:13:58over girls let the competition begin
00:14:00we don't need a card from you
00:14:12literally do anything bye Mimi thank you do you want her a bat so you can mix that and you pick
00:14:27we're gonna wait till the end hi love bug I'm manifesting it hey boo he's not here
00:14:36he's not here don't look at him don't look at him oh no there's not even a question

00:15:14gonna have to do all of this I just need Jessica and Shanae so whoever's name I draw gets to pick who
00:15:20they want oh my nipples are sweating Brittany oh okay okay you get Mimi yeah yeah I'll let you have
00:15:29uh Jessica for Anna that's a great try yeah look at us being civilized wow look at that Britney she's
00:15:37signing but she's a killer I know she's gotta go here titties on the runway all right you've got
00:15:44models you got materials you're doing it yes oh my gosh hands in hands in go team go team
00:15:59all right y'all need help I can breathe now what do you have so far Fabio it's my ally
00:16:19this is ready to cut some fabric this is really good so how is everything it's stressful but I love
00:16:26how you do jackets so I know you you can freak this I don't know if you feel like making a pattern
00:16:32for the shirts and what's it gonna be out of I don't want to just create like eight looks just
00:16:40to put eight looks on the runway I want to surprise myself but I'm not there yet and the pink too I'm
00:16:46like maybe I need to figure this out you have tonight to sleep on it
00:16:56active way in the finale the pressure there's even more now
00:17:00hey Queens entering hello hi hi hello hey okay well we'll make it work yeah let's do it
00:17:15we call them pockets pockets okay right there hello oh fab so pretty overall how are you feeling
00:17:32what are you feeling great feeling great still gotta cut the green jump suit still gotta cut it
00:17:37I mean I have the pattern I got some sleep I'm organized in my head and I have a plan I know I
00:17:44have a lot to do but I'll get it done what's the purple look the purple where is it's a it's a
00:17:51jumpsuit we didn't make it yet no it's a suit oh the suit no no it's a suit so the two looks
00:17:58that you haven't actually sewn are the green jumpsuit and the purple suits right no but I made
00:18:04the pattern on them are you sure you don't fit them you don't but I can you've even seen them yeah
00:18:09tomorrow fit those looks yeah because you don't know you know what I mean they're both the curvy
00:18:15girls yeah you gotta bring them back and you have to have something to try I will please I will yeah
00:18:20two full looks yes yes yes we're gonna do it we're gonna do it with the hood and then the bra goes
00:18:26over we do the shrug how's it going it got real pink over here let me see this look what is happening
00:18:33not like her you're fighting her look it like that's not the pant what about a little short or
00:18:40I don't know with that top with that dress it's not this pink pant like she looks like a little kid
00:18:46this is like fashion fashion fashion some like a runway show okay you don't you don't need a sleeper
00:18:52look because your looks are sportswear you don't need a more casual of the casual okay no I hear you
00:18:58you're welcome fish me whoo what's happening that is fabulous oh you can come to the area
00:19:11circus show I'm trying to see why are you so um pouty um I want to get finished sewing yeah I don't

00:19:23jacket right once I recut the jacket I gotta recut it let me know if you need anything I will
00:19:29Roger give him some love well yeah that's what I've been doing it's loving my brother okay good
00:19:40thank you bye bye all right designers when you're ready take your model to the trust me hair salon and
00:19:47Bobby Brown makeup studio good luck hi hey how are you good I'm so happy that you're here tell me a
00:19:58little bit about your look the whole vibe is very like high fashion active my thought was to just a
00:20:05slick back pony but doing the bubble pony love yeah I'm gonna use a tresemme extra hold mousse it's
00:20:13going to help me keep her hair back but it doesn't have that sticky feel that most mousse have yet
00:20:19this looks super sleek and modern yes yes mama thank you so much oh hey I'm excited tell me about
00:20:29your look so I really want for them to have like drawn just bone straight flowy just like really
00:20:36sleek modern so I'm gonna use a tresemme prone fusion smooth tonic okay it's gonna really help with
00:20:42the shine and hydration and really get us that sleekness that we're looking for okay
00:20:46leaves her hair hydrated and smooth already super sleek super soft it's already given us what we
00:20:59need oh yeah thank you so much I'm so good it's so good to see you talk to me about your collection
00:21:09I'm dying to see it oh I want them to be super classy I don't really want any colors so a lot of
00:21:14contouring I'm taking a touch of our long wear cream shadow stick in a shade that's matte I'm just gonna
00:21:20add a little bit of depth right here underneath the cheekbone it's still very monochromatic
00:21:26yeah I love it thank you so much good luck bye all right designers I have exciting news for you
00:21:36tomorrow morning CFDA is coming to meet with each of you oh wow it's gonna be really helpful I promise
00:21:44take advantage take it in get to work lots of sewing to do bye
00:21:49I only have three looks God save me I said my stress level wasn't that high but now it is
00:22:01and that's time people let's go you guys night lounge so how do you guys feel though yeah it's like
00:22:24someone telling you great news and then push you off a clip you've been staying up since 12 31 o'clock
00:22:29trying to force yourself to go to sleep but you can cause your mind is just racing I feel like a knot in
00:22:39my throat I am feeling a bit worried about my overall collection because I do not see it coming together
00:22:44yet so I need to rethink some things and readjust you stress me out
00:22:59last day in the workroom happy final day where do we start girl start and finish on that draping
00:23:12white dress I sew it in on both sides right yeah hi hi I'm Mark Karamazata the editorial communications
00:23:22director of the CFDA I'm so thrilled to be here and to meet all of you I'm really here to see your
00:23:26collections and to talk to you about your future your brands
00:23:31Brittany what's your customer look like she's a city girl very independent you know she does her
00:23:45own thing and you're ahead of a lot of designers because you already know exactly your customers and
00:23:49you know exactly what your brand looks like which is a great thing I love the denim jacket yeah it was
00:23:56upcycling and that was one day it's very heavy it's muslin very good it's very heavy it's very
00:24:03heavy like this trying to like work in my DNA um it kind of did really start like here and here and
00:24:10doing like the undergarment pieces here which must be so difficult with the challenges because it's
00:24:14all different challenges so how do you bring the DNA into that challenge what would you see that
00:24:18starting point for me like for the mentorship like where would it be looking down the road and what I
00:24:24see by brand being we look to help speak to people who know the business of fashion speak to
00:24:32manufacturers who know how to make the kind of clothes that you want for your collection yeah
00:24:37that would be well thank you so much it was so great to me thank you so much what would you say
00:24:46your story is and who you really want to address with your clothes for my story I'll use in fashion as
00:24:51my like my diary so I'm always adding hints of myself into the garments and telling like a dramatic
00:24:58avant-garde story with a bit of streetwear I see real range which is really important I think in terms
00:25:03of building your business we're an organization of more than 450 members we have a lot of resources to
00:25:08help a young designer like you gotcha thank you so much hello Laurence so if you had to describe your
00:25:16brand how would you describe it my brand is edgy and classy super feminine and masculine mixed together
00:25:24and I do leather so that's what I'm known for so obviously looking here I see the whole breadth of
00:25:29your talent yeah leather is your focus but are you really thinking about other materials how are you
00:25:35looking to expand your collection I want to do everything leather is my love but I want to do
00:25:39everything that's why I try to do a mix of different things that's a very smart thing because when you think
00:25:44about a woman she might really love leather but there's other parts of her life when she doesn't
00:25:49want to wear leather and then she would be the go-to designer she already likes your aesthetic and what
00:25:53you stand for and if you communicate that very clearly who you are and what you stand for you
00:25:58could have that customer for life okay which is a wonderful thing yes thank you so so much
00:26:03hey you guys are you ready for models they're here
00:26:15yes work welcome back do you want to start with the fans with her all right so let's do let's try this on first
00:26:26mm-hmm so this model fitting is exactly what I needed and I just need to fit this spandex tube
00:26:33shape on Jasmine to make sure that we're on the right track of just perfecting this look you know
00:26:39okay cool if I put a biker short underneath it that'd be hot it looks beautiful well for me I just want to
00:26:45see what the other one lands I'm gonna take this in a little bit too can't wait to see it he's coming
00:26:56yeah and I think um he's doing something with um which I look too
00:27:01this is probably the most stressed out I've been all season because I'm not where I want to be at
00:27:15I'm not at a proper checkpoint for myself and I'm dealing with grief that adds more pressure on to me
00:27:21that I already have um I'm trying y'all I need to go find your designer because at this this is as far
00:27:32as I can take you I think I'm done bitch you have models where is he where did he say he's going
00:27:51where is he where did he say he's going what's happening
00:28:08we don't have the time for the mind to play those tricks or not I need you inside I've been
00:28:25handling my grief throughout this competition but I think what was making me sad is that um bro
00:28:33if I got all the way to winning that it wouldn't feel good because she's not here
00:28:44it's been a roller coaster being here I keep realizing I'm grieving my sister at the same time
00:28:50maybe times when I'm like about to literally cry and I don't even know why like it's a lot that hit me
00:28:56today I'm just thankful that I have project here keep my head on track he reminded me that I'm here for
00:29:02a reason and keep that that focus on why I'm here and he literally have a place in my heart forever
00:29:08y'all need to get to a project in your life because she might seem like she rah rah rah but she really
00:29:16got a heart of gold
00:29:17I'm glad I did the fitting because the fit has to be proper and so far it's no bueno it's gonna be the
00:29:38same like the same as the pants but the bustier is leather yeah can you is there a good enough
00:29:43length for you to walk in if we did end up attaching this part of the placket the center yeah so this
00:29:57gown the dimension is remarkable the train looks so good and the styling hat came together with the
00:30:03ribbing and the hood and it's just a very couture way to finish my collection what time is it 30 minutes
00:30:21so we gotta pack it up guys okay I ain't going down without a fight let me just do this real quick
00:30:28and done so all you need to do right now is the jacket I was like Laurent needs me here for moral
00:30:39support more than anything we're gonna save the party for later guys we got five minutes until the
00:30:47friends have to leave I gave you a gift I mean I will see you you probably won't see me yes I will
00:31:09be looking for you like this I love you so much I love you too okay thank you
00:31:14thank you so so much I love you too all right I'll see you tomorrow all right see you tomorrow
00:31:22there's literally no way that this collection would look like it does right now without Fabio's help
00:31:29I owe him a lot
00:31:31bye guys
00:31:33thank you
00:31:36good luck we're done with this work room and uh it's bittersweet all right you guys ready to head
00:31:45out I'm excited for the runway and I'm also a bit nervous later work room
00:31:52what a beautiful city wow so pretty I just want to say um I'm so proud of all of us
00:32:05me too I'm proud of us too man and um this is beautiful man being here it really prepped you
00:32:12for the fashion industry like Nina and all of them are like the critics and the blogs and the thing
00:32:17the challenges are like certain clients that hire you for things and then also brought another side
00:32:22out of you that you didn't even realize was there to be here and to finally be able to showcase something
00:32:27like you want to showcase your best because we learned a lot since at least me I know I learned
00:32:32so much since I've been here so much all right let's do it back there you go oreo sandwich oh it's the best oreo that's ever been
00:32:40coming up welcome to the project runway finale then pull the drawstring let me see the back
00:32:50I'm freaking out my heart is racing I can feel it
00:32:55oh wow this is amazing look at this amazing this was just a dream a few months ago when I left my season I didn't win I placed third so to be here right now living it it's it's everything can we just take a stand before really
00:33:02there's so much on the line the grand prize the mentorship the public relations
00:33:30the public relations that I need so badly.
00:33:33There isn't one of these prizes that wouldn't change my life.
00:33:37BBL.
00:33:38BBL. Good luck, y'all.
00:33:39Get it.
00:33:40One, two, three.

00:33:52No!
00:33:53You need to make sure all your models get through the work,
00:33:55hair with Tresemme, makeup with Bobbi Brown.
00:34:00Hi, y'all.
00:34:01Hello.
00:34:04So excited for the show.
00:34:06Hi, hi, hi.
00:34:09You guys know what it is, right?
00:34:10Sleep buns.
00:34:11Yeah.
00:34:12So for the makeup, can we just keep it in hair red but gloss?
00:34:16I love and hate the stress backstage.
00:34:18And then pull the drawstring.
00:34:20I can feel it.
00:34:21My heart is racing.
00:34:22I'm freaking out.
00:34:30Make sure you just keep this arm down.
00:34:32Everybody's getting it, getting the look.
00:34:34They are.
00:34:35Is there any way you could pull that skirt down?
00:34:36Let's turn her this way.
00:34:46Brittany, Laurence?
00:34:47Yes?
00:34:48Fish me, you're good?
00:34:49As good as we're going to be.
00:34:50Everybody looks amazing.
00:34:51All right, designers, that's it, that's time.
00:34:54You did it.
00:34:56It's show time.
00:35:13Hi, everyone.
00:35:16Well, welcome to the Project Runway season 20 finale.
00:35:24Unfortunately, Brandon Maxwell couldn't be here with us tonight,
00:35:29but we are honored to have two fabulous guest judges,
00:35:33Emmy, Grammy, and two-time Tony award-winning actor
00:35:39and style icon, the Billy Porter.
00:35:46Oh, my God.
00:35:47I'm going to have a heart attack.
00:35:51I love you, Max.
00:35:52And award-winning fashion designer,
00:35:56a beloved member of the Project Runway family,
00:35:59the one and only Zach Pozen.
00:36:05It's going to be a fabulous show.
00:36:07The designers work so hard.
00:36:09Let's do it.
00:36:10Yes.
00:36:11Let's start the show.
00:36:18Tell me about it.
00:36:20I'm getting nervous.
00:36:21I am so nervous.
00:36:22It's already too late.
00:36:22Don't do it.
00:36:25Designer, don't.
00:36:38Hi, everyone.
00:36:39My name is Bernie Allen.
00:36:40You might remember me from season 18.
00:36:42Yes, Bernie.
00:36:43Hi.
00:36:45Familiar faces.
00:36:46Um, so my collection is called Pop Greshin,
00:36:50and essentially the story of the collection
00:36:53is just a progression of color, print,
00:36:56and what I do best, which is active wear
00:36:59and ready-to-wear married together.
00:37:01So I hope you love it as much as I loved making it.
00:37:03Special shout-out to my babe,
00:37:06who made it this special trek from Texas,
00:37:08and to Fabio, my best friend,
00:37:10who I could not have made this collection without.
00:37:13So, thank you guys so much.
00:37:15I am so thankful that this is the tone
00:37:37we are starting with, because it is everything.
00:37:40My collection, it has me written all over it.
00:37:42It's DNA, identity,
00:37:43everything that the judges wanted to see from me.
00:37:53Me pushing silhouettes and ideas that were my own
00:37:57in this very identifiable way.
00:38:00You can't look at this collection
00:38:01and not know exactly who it came from.
00:38:04Oh, my God, it looks so good.
00:38:13This is the story of this buildup
00:38:16and progression of my growth
00:38:18and my aesthetic as a whole.
00:38:28It shows me in what I do,
00:38:30and it's just a small nod to the active wear,
00:38:32but it's elevating this progression story.
00:38:38It's a little conceptual,
00:38:40but you could wear these pieces
00:38:41at any time with anything.
00:39:00So, Jessica Zee is killing these pants.
00:39:10The pants are getting so much movement.
00:39:12With her walk, you see the dimension.
00:39:17And I love this look so much.
00:39:19So, this gown, wrapping up this runway show,
00:39:31it could not have been showcased better.
00:39:42Okay, baby!
00:39:45Oh, my God!
00:39:48Fabulous.
00:39:49It is active wear Eleganza,
00:39:52and I am dead.
00:39:59The, like, athletic with the couture.
00:40:01Yeah, literally.
00:40:02I like it.
00:40:03You leave the gym and you can still look good.
00:40:05From gym to night.
00:40:06Exactly.
00:40:09Honestly, this collection is beyond
00:40:10what I could have ever imagined.
00:40:13I have exceeded all expectations I had for myself
00:40:16and really put genuinely everything I have
00:40:18into this eight-look collection for the finale.
00:40:21For the finale.
00:40:21We are ready when you are.
00:40:22We are ready when you are standing by okay
00:40:52Hello everybody, my name is Vishmi Cromarty and this show, hi y'all, oh my goodness, and my collection is about powering through, so that's my message to everyone here, just power through, hope you love it.
00:41:22It's a pinch me moment for me because to actually be here at the finale is mind-blowing.
00:41:44It showcases so many different personalities that I have within me and so many different techniques that I have.
00:41:54To see the evolution of this collection is just amazing to me because I allowed all of the darkness and all of the things I've experienced in my past to help me get to this moment.
00:42:22And to be able to have this moment that I've been dreaming for since I first watched this show as a teenager, just breathtaking.
00:42:50Just breathtaking.
00:42:52And a moment that I can share with you today would like to see light up as wn.
00:42:58מת no.
00:42:59And we will be watching it in the podcast stream.
00:42:59Take care of yourself.
00:43:02Every time will help me get to my son.
00:43:34The finale dress, what happens to be the anxiety gown, is everything plus more.
00:43:51I've always told myself I will close my collection out with the most massive gown ever.
00:43:56I'm just thankful that I was able to see this and truly be pleased with everything that I created.
00:44:05Incredible in such a short period of time. He's smart with his construction materials.
00:44:20I gotta literally step back and be proud of myself because I don't know if anyone would have been able to handle what I handled literally days before the runway show.
00:44:31He's blowing me away. Well, if anyone can follow him, it's Laurence.
00:44:37All right, girls, kill it.
00:44:40Two, one, Laurence, go.
00:44:42Hi, baby. I just want to say hello to Marley. I miss you. I love you.
00:44:57I love you.
00:45:00My name is Laurence Bass. So my fashion is always inspired by where I'm from.
00:45:05So I wanted to make a collection about Paris because every time we talk about this city, we always see the beautiful side of it.
00:45:12And I wanted to bring the dark side of Paris and the beautiful mix together.
00:45:17So you guys enjoy and a plus.
00:45:22Love you guys. Miss you.
00:45:43This collection is me.
00:45:46It's a piece of me that I'm giving you.
00:45:49If you understand my collection, you'll get to understand a little bit of who I am.
00:46:12I feel like people are still thinking of leather like there's only one or two things you can do with it.
00:46:20But leather has evolved so much that you can literally do anything with it.
00:46:30That's what I want to do. I want to take leather to a whole new level.
00:46:42I came here saying I was an Express Runway winner.
00:46:52So I really believe in my heart that I could win this whole thing.
00:46:59Watching my creations go down the runway.
00:47:03There's a whole bunch of emotions and it's a moment, you know what I mean?
00:47:07But overall, it's great.
00:47:12When the finale look comes down the runway, it is giving, giving, giving.
00:47:34When the finale look comes down the runway, it is giving, giving, giving.
00:47:41giving giving i love the model i love the look i love the red
00:47:49it was pretty clear from the beginning that she was going to close the show
00:47:51i mean of all the three designers
00:48:08every material she used has nothing for giving you're working with leather i'm amazing
00:48:16this whole experience of project run with you always learn something when you come here
00:48:20about yourself about life things that you don't even know you're capable of doing so i'm super proud
00:48:26of me for making it this far oh my god we did it oh my god we did it it was 100 evidence that these
00:48:41designers were all stars we're the girls we're the girls hey girls i especially enjoyed britney's show
00:48:48because she didn't go over the top couture she went designed real clothes and real sportive and
00:48:55it's much more casual
00:49:02that one with this whole one she did that thing yes she did if i were picking a winner i'd be going with
00:49:09bishni i loved that collection i mean it just felt very organic it felt street like it just looked
00:49:16cohesive i loved it i haven't seen my baby in over two months it's been a while yeah you know i have to
00:49:24say i think it's laurence's game to take the whole thing i thought her collection was the most cohesive
00:49:30out of everybody's every look was better than the next thank you guys you killed it all of you did an
00:49:38amazing job i think this is going to be one of the hardest decisions in the history of project runway
00:49:46there's only going to be one winner now we wait
00:49:50final three all stars we are so incredibly proud of you so impressed by what you were able to achieve
00:50:07in just eight days thank you incredible really lovely and of course can we give it up for our guest
00:50:14judges today we just casually have two icons with us today so it's overwhelming the three of you
00:50:26delivered three incredible different shows that relied on your unique point of view i am always so moved
00:50:38by the fashion and i am so so happy to be here thank you thank you thank you laurence hi so nice to
00:50:46see you a reunion my pleasure i think you're so talented five years on the show the best tailor i've seen
00:50:54thank you you all delivered a unique vision and you brought the drama i'm blown away and very happy to
00:51:03be here thank you thanks let's start with you britney okay let's do it tell us about the collection
00:51:10and your inspiration i wanted to show the progression of introducing color and introducing prints and then
00:51:16combining colors that you wouldn't think that you would ever you know put together yes it was eight
00:51:20looks but it's 21 pieces all interchangeable everything could have been swapped this top with
00:51:25this skirt with this jacket with this bottom it's really fun to make you stood out but you stood out in
00:51:31a good way you found a way to put an evening gown in the context of your active wear world that you're
00:51:38building it's magical what you've been able to do to elevate the active wear slash athleisure space the
00:51:47culotte the bra like i see it already it's stunning wow what an honor i think the really interesting
00:51:55parts of your collection were the pieces where you took the inspiration of active wear
00:52:00but did it in a more high fashion kind of luxury technique way it kind of took it to a whole new
00:52:07place my only criticism is off of the runway it could go a little costume your styling was phenomenal
00:52:17thank you you gave every girl that ponytail the hoops and the same boots so everything felt very cohesive
00:52:25but what most impressed me was the pant version of this and turning this pattern into a 3d
00:52:33perspective made me think wow you could do things on a bigger scale wow that's my heart is full
00:52:41i mean so much thank you so much britney thank you it's me tell us all about your collection tell us
00:52:48about your inspiration you want to know everything i wanted to showcase the good side of things the
00:52:54not so good side when it gets a little rocky and then when you overpower the darkness and the things
00:53:00that kind of like build you to be the stronger version of yourself the first opening look showcased
00:53:05the innocence innocence kind of like in the innocence my version of innocence and the red represent rage and
00:53:13the black just represent darkness this dress actually represents anxiety that you overpower to kind
00:53:19of like turn it into something positive i really love that this is called the anxiety gown because it
00:53:28doesn't feel like the anxiety is oppressive it feels like you're moving through it you got to that place
00:53:37where evening wear can become art so you did something very special and very moving for me today
00:53:43thank you bishmi it was cohesive it was inspiring it was sophisticated and most importantly it was well
00:53:52edited thank you the juxtaposition of that kind of urban influence with the elegance of your work
00:53:59was genius thank you bishmi you always surprise me and as an editor i can see these on the pages
00:54:09of our magazine on celebrities your clothes just have that fashion with a capital f you have a gift
00:54:16and i want you to feel confident about it thank you nina that means a lot the only look that i didn't
00:54:25think you needed was probably the latex gown gotcha because we've kind of moved away from the sleeves
00:54:32which used to be your signature and i think that you are a designer that has so many ideas you don't really
00:54:38have to stick to one thank you so much bishmi all right lawrence my inspiration was paris
00:54:46i'm an african girl i was born in normandy so i wanted to bring both sides together and create my
00:54:53story that's why i had so much hardware leather lace and organza which is like two worlds that usually
00:55:00don't really don't really miss i love coming to project runway because i get to shop i want that
00:55:08i just love this so much i would love it with a flared pants okay you can do that we're going to
00:55:14exchange numbers no problem i got you i need that lawrence you deliver garments that are so precise and well
00:55:26made i love that pull and push of the romantic with the hard that very sculptural jacket and the shine
00:55:36these are things that could look terrible together but will never do under your supervision you're a
00:55:43tough candidate to beat thank you you exude an elegance and a sophistication and i can see evolution in
00:55:54your work but it's still signature the one look that i kind of had trouble with the purple thing yeah
00:56:00where'd that come from that wasn't the direction i was going with the suit but i had to change the
00:56:05shape and it was supposed to be something else trust your gut is if you have that instinct
00:56:11i think pull it okay i love the duality of your inspiration but mostly i was excited to see
00:56:18a new side of you you were able to incorporate this joy this fluidity this poetry this romance that
00:56:29we haven't associated with your work before and you turned up the volume in the history of project
00:56:34runway i think you make clothes that look more expensive than anything this show has ever seen
00:56:39thank you okay designers this is going to be an extremely painful difficult decision to make
00:56:48tonight but it's time for us to decide the winner thank you guys thank you an honor
00:57:07so we have three designers here who are worthy of winning the prize and unfortunately only one can win
00:57:16who do you see as the future of fashion right i feel like there is a case to be made for each and
00:57:22every one of these designers they just are so incredibly different for instance with britney she's in
00:57:29a class of her own because she's designing for activewear and so it's challenging to even have
00:57:34britney in the same sentence as laurence or brishmi with britney she got eight out of eight you gave
00:57:40britney an eight out of eight i was impressed with all of it honestly i believe that she is capable of
00:57:48much more than just activewear but also there's nothing wrong with just having that absolutely
00:57:53repetition is reputation that's really good yeah i like that that pant that she did she took the fabric
00:58:02and she turned it into that 3d little texture yes she's mixing colors and textures that are not that
00:58:09easy to mix at all at all that category is so important right now that activewear right my question
00:58:17is what is the longevity of that right fashion is always changing so who has that longevity or who
00:58:25is looking forward to fashion vishmi for me had the singular piece of the evening inside of that anxiety
00:58:34gown he gave us a really well edited a really thoughtful show that made you think the art on the finale piece
00:58:42the tricks that work on the runway the big tool train and the wow factor of that volume but he added
00:58:49pieces of him and his heart in every single piece it was like a crescendo right yeah for eight pieces
00:58:56i thought that was very well done they created consistency through asymmetry from the hoodie dress to
00:59:03the top and skirt dress the consistency is there but they're done differently but it kind of follows
00:59:08through and then it goes into a print which was really strong into the fringe dress not my favorite
00:59:13but that idea worked i didn't feel like it was fit properly it wasn't but he has these elements that
00:59:20could like rock the red carpet he reminds me of a telfar everything had like a street wear street style
00:59:27influence but ultimately the thing that caught fire were those bags that's the business some designers
00:59:34just love to make clothes but not bishmi he loves the accessory and the clothes well you know who i'd love
00:59:41to see make a bag lawrence with her technique and her seaming those are the things that you really value
00:59:48in clothing a mastery of technique inventive construction in leather no joke she's just remarkable
00:59:56like every single stitch and moment was really brilliant she's a sexy tailor she's a sexy tailor
01:00:04with edge right but she's not a good editor because she had this purple thing i would have done
01:00:09anything to get rid of that the moments where she messed up were forgettable to me to the point where
01:00:16i would give her double points for each look that i loved because i loved it so much the biker jacket could not
01:00:24fit better and same with the skirt this is what i would want to go to the red carpet and with all
01:00:29of that said when this is a finale runway moment give me a little more sometimes wow doesn't need to
01:00:36be big it doesn't need to be we're talking about again i mean i'm a gown god breath away and i'm just
01:00:40saying sometimes things can be quiet in their power yeah and that speaks to her taste level yeah that's
01:00:48what makes her such a tasteful elevated refined sophisticated designer that red jacket and patent
01:00:56leather with the lace payette skirt was fabulous yeah it absolutely is it's hard all of them have that
01:01:06super power that will make them a phenomenal winner
01:01:10uh-huh okay do we have the winner of project runway season 20 yes we do yes
01:01:30designers today once again we're witnessing the relentless power of fashion it has been a real
01:01:52honor to be sitting in this judging chair for 20 seasons
01:02:01we are so proud of all three of you but there can only be one winner and tonight one of you proved
01:02:10that your brand is ready to take this industry by storm and we are ready to watch you shine
01:02:18the winner of project runway is
01:02:36fish me
01:02:45i've dreamed of winning project runway ever since i first seen christian on his season then to be
01:02:54here the second time and win it honestly felt like the kid in me is just extremely proud and just
01:03:01excited as hell i thank y'all so much for this i miss my sister so much and um before she passed away
01:03:11she told me she told me i was gonna win um all i had to do is just believe it oh and this just right
01:03:20here just showcased to me everything i've been fighting for is worth it i owe this win to my sister
01:03:27my biggest fan the first person who didn't judge me for doing something outside the norm and she was
01:03:37there to allow me to blossom and fall deeply in love with my creativity
01:03:44good are you doing it baby are you doing it are you doing it i know my sister is looking down and just
01:03:52happy and smiling from ear to ear you're everything baby i love you
01:03:57not only am i about to have a mentorship from the cfda i'm about to have pr representation which is
01:04:05like amazing and then the 250 000 is just about to change everything
01:04:10i promise i will never forget this moment ever
01:04:28watch the project runway after show right now and on demand wherever you stream project runway
