00:00historically when quarterbacks get beat up they get worse as the season goes on because they are
00:08getting beat up how do the patriots stop this bleed this is a problem for them that if it
00:14continues it could become a much bigger problem it is a little bit of a problem i mean him getting
00:17hit him having to pick himself up off the ground that's the problem to me the reason football wise
00:25x's and o's wise it really hasn't been a problem for their offense yet is that he seems unfaced when
00:31he gets hit and he's losing yardage number one it's not a ton of yardage typically right a lot of times
00:36it's a scramble for minus one it's a scramble for zero he's stepping up in the pocket it's negative
00:42two so it doesn't crush them and he's been so freaking good in these third and long situations
00:48or even second and long situations where they don't even wait for third down to convert he's throwing
00:52down the field he's picking up the first down anyway so usually those sacks are drive killers
00:56which football wise is why you try to eliminate them as best you can but it's why i don't know if
01:00you guys heard the sound from josh mcdaniels yesterday yeah i did he ain't panicking he's
01:06looking at this and saying well yeah of course we don't want our quarterback sacked yeah but we also
01:11want him to be able to run around and make plays with his feet we want him to be able to extend and
01:16throw down the field and so they're not going to try to coach it out of him is how josh mcdaniels put it
01:20and i think that's the right way to play it they shouldn't try to coach it out of him
