00:00A federal judge said tonight that the administration has to fully fund SNAP.
00:05It's the latest in the back and forth, and the Justice Department said they're going to appeal it.
00:09What's your message to folks as they work this out in the courts and in Congress as we're heading into Thanksgiving?
00:16You want to go over that?
00:18Yeah, look, Jackie, it's an absurd ruling because you have a federal judge effectively telling us what we have to do
00:25in the midst of a Democrat government shutdown,
00:27which what we'd like to do is for the Democrats to open up the government.
00:30Of course, then we can fund SNAP, and we can also do a lot of other good things for the American people.
00:34But in the midst of a shutdown, we can't have a federal court telling the president how he has to triage the situation.
00:40We're trying to keep as much turned on.
00:43We're trying to keep as much going as possible.
00:45The president and the entire administration are working on that,
00:48but we're not going to do it under the orders of a federal judge.
00:52We're going to do it according to what we think we have to do to comply with the law, of course,
00:58but also to actually make the government work for people in the midst of the Democrat government shutdown.
01:04If they would like to end this, we would welcome working with them to end this government shutdown,
01:10and then we wouldn't have to triage what we're going to fund and what we're not going to fund.
01:14And the last thing that I'll say is the American people are unfortunately about to start suffering
01:18some very real consequences because of the shutdown.
01:21In the past, when you had a government shutdown, you would have, you know, under the Obama administration,
01:26they would lean into all of the problems it was going to cause for the American people at the beginning of the shutdown.
01:31The president has told us to keep as much going as humanly possible,
01:35but after 30 days of this thing, 40 days of this thing, you're going to start seeing very real travel delays.
01:41That's because the Democrat government shut down.
01:43You're going to start seeing SNAP benefits run out.
01:45That's because the Democrat government shut down.
01:47They should stop the charade and open up the government.
01:50That's what we want them to do.
01:51We've been asking them to do it for 40 days.
01:53It's time.
01:54And, you know, one other thing.
01:55Our country has to remain very liquid because problems, catastrophes, wars, could be anything.
02:02We have to remain liquid.
02:03We can't give everything away based on a number.
02:08Here's an example.
02:10When I was president, the number that you're talking about was a tiny fraction of what it is now.
02:15Biden went totally crazy, gave it to anybody that would ask, gave it to people that were able-bodied, had no problem.
02:22Anybody that would ask, we get the number.
02:24And it's many times the number of people are on.
02:27This wasn't meant for that.
02:28It was meant for people that had real problems.
02:31In many cases, people that were down and out, people that could be saved.
02:35It wasn't meant for people that could do whatever they want.
02:38The people that say, well, I don't think I'll work.
02:40I'll just, you know, collect this money.
02:42Take a look at the number of what it was during my administration and what it was during the Biden administration.
02:48It went up many, many times my first term.
02:52One other thing.
02:53A number came out today that was amazing.
02:57Walmart.
02:58I trust Walmart.
02:59Arkansas.
02:59Great place, Arkansas.
03:01Great company, Walmart.
03:03They announced today with, after many years, they do this every year for many years,
03:08that Thanksgiving for the United States of America under Donald Trump as president is 25% less for Thanksgiving meal
03:18with all the trimmings than it was under Sleepy Joe Biden's administration.
03:25So we talk about affordability.
03:28I think that's the best chart.
03:29That's better than a poll.
03:30That's better than anything I can think of.
03:32So Walmart, which everybody trusts and I trust and everybody trusts Walmart,
03:37they're not looking to do anything except give the numbers.
03:40And they have for many years.
03:41They talk about the cost of Thanksgiving and the cost of living through Thanksgiving and enjoying Thanksgiving.
03:49For Joe Biden, it was 25% more than it is for me.
03:54At a later time, our energy costs are way down.
03:57Our groceries are way down.
03:59Everything is way down.
04:01And the press doesn't report it.
04:03The press reports whatever the con people say.
04:06You know, I call the Democrats con men and women.
04:09They make up numbers.
04:11But when you look at 25% reduction in cost for Thanksgiving between Biden and me,
04:17meaning this administration, that's a tremendous number.
04:20That's a tremendous.
04:21It's the biggest reduction in cost in the history of that chart or whatever it is they do.
04:27That they do a synopsis of everything.
04:30They cover every element of Thanksgiving meals, 25% down.
04:36So I don't want to hear about the affordability because right now we're much less.
04:41If you look at energy, we're getting close to $2 a gallon gasoline.
04:45With Biden, it was $4.50, $5.00.
04:48Another thing, inflation.
04:49We had the worst inflation in the history of our country.
04:52Now we have virtually no inflation at all.
04:55It's down at a very low number and a very normal number.
04:59So the affordability is much better with the Republicans.
05:02The only problem is the Republicans don't talk about it.
05:05And Republicans should start talking about it and use their heads.
05:09Because we have great numbers.
05:10We have great – and they're going to only get better when all these jobs open up,
05:14all these factories open up that are being built all over our country.
05:19I mean, we are building auto plants.
05:21We're building AI plants.
05:22We're leading in AI over China and everybody else.
05:25When all of these plants start opening, we're going to have a revolution,
05:29a positive revolution, economic revolution like never before.
