She recently had a starring role in Wes Anderson's Phoenician Scheme and now Kate Winslet's daughter, Mia Threapleton is being honoured as the Breakthrough Actress of 2025 at Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year awards at London's Claridges. 00:38I don't look good in a fringe, I think, with my own hair because it's just not as cool as that.

00:52It's nice though that at least in this day and age we can be opinionated because we're willing.

01:01And I think we all probably know that our mums are an inspiration.

01:04I mean, do you get nervous when she sees stuff that you're in?

01:07And like, how does it work?

01:09I think I just get nervous when anybody sees anything that I'm in, irrespective of who it is.

01:16I mean, you know, having her watch it and wanting to know what she thinks.

01:21Anybody wants to know what their parent thinks of something that they've done, regardless of what it is.

01:26So, you know, when she watched it I was really excited to know what she thought and I think that she liked it.

01:34So that was very nice.

01:35She looks so proud of you.

01:36You're both your parents.

01:40And in regards to what happens next, I mean, I'm sure you didn't even think you'd be here one day.

01:52That would be an enormous undertaking if I tried to do that.

01:55I'm a very small person, so it would maybe take a while.

01:59I just, I really would love to have the opportunity to keep being able to be creative with incredible people,

02:06with people who have interesting perspectives on things, new perspectives on things, old faces, new faces,

02:13people who don't know that that's what they want to do yet.

02:16And that is something that I'm really excited about and very hopeful that happens.
