00:00I heard the president say I deserve to be the speaker. I don't think anybody deserves anything. It's not about what you have done, it's what you can do.
00:09For decades, I've cherished the privilege of representing our magnificent city in the United States Congress.
00:17We can be proud of what we have accomplished, but there's always much more work to be done.
00:21That is why I want you, my fellow San Franciscans, to be the first to know I will not be seeking re-election to Congress.
00:30Thank you, San Francisco, for trusting me to be your voice in Congress. May God bless you, and may God bless the United States of America.
00:38The House will be in order. The chair will address the chamber.
01:00God bless you, and God bless America. Thank you very much.
01:08Madam Speaker, how do you feel after the vote today?
01:26I'm very impressed by Senator Romney's statement.
01:30Now the president has been working with a bipartisan vote against his statement.
01:39And what do you think it says, that message says?
01:41That's all I'm going to say.
01:43Thank you.
01:45Thank you.
01:46Thank you.
01:47Thank you.
01:48Thank you.
