00:00Serving Nigerian Senator, Prince Shindu Munir Nwako, well known as Ned Nwako, has been accused of sending policemen to arrest his in-laws, after his fourth wife and a popular Nollywood super actress, Regina Daniels ran out of the matrimonial home over alleged domestic violence, intimidation, oppressions and maltreatment like a nobody in the senator's house.
00:23This, the serving Nigeria Senator, Ned Nwako accused the absconded wife, Regina Daniels of substance abuse, denying her allegations of domestic violence, adding, he made efforts to stop her addict of substance abuse hence the wife, Regina Daniels became violent and she started assaulting the domestic staff and destroying properties in the house.
00:45According to Ned Nwako in a statement he had issued less than 48 hours after the star actress ran away from her matrimonial home in October last month, while I took Mun to the hospital, a scene of chaos unfolded at home, orchestrated by Sammy.
01:01Regina's main drug supplier, another known supplier of drugs to Regina is the tiny evil devil called Ann, in a swift reaction to the arrest of his son and Regina Daniels' brother yesterday, Rita Daniels, the mother-in-law accused the serving Nigeria Senator, Ned Nwako of trying to bite the finger that fed him, saying,
01:21Ned Nwako married her daughter because she was a popular actress, and the senator needed the high star of her status to boost his fallen star or his political relevance in the Nigeria politics, saying,
01:34the senator will go down for arresting her children, adding that, people should take a look out Ned Nwako's children, if any of them look like from a billionaire father,
01:43although, the actual numbers of the in-laws arrested is yet to be officially stated as one of the Regina Daniels' sisters initially said to be arrested alongside with the brother,
01:53was seen outside the police station in Lagos State on Monday night in a video made available online by Regina Daniels' family.
02:02Verbatim, Regina Daniels' mother, Rita Daniels, while she was being video recorded and screaming with a very loud painful voice in front of the police station at night yesterday,
02:13said, you married my daughter because you wanted someone with high star to boost your fallen star.
02:19If you think you can bite the finger that fed you, you'll go down.
02:24Regina gave you $50,000 to support your election. All my resources also went into that same election. You were mad.
02:32Nigeria media reported that the arrests came days after actress Regina Daniels allegedly filed for divorce, accusing him of domestic violence.
02:41Calling out the senator amid the marital crisis on Monday, Regina disclosed that her elder brother and sister had been arrested.
02:50While appealing to the general public for urgent help, the 24-year-old, in a series of posts on her Instagram page,
02:57attributed her siblings and fellow contestants in the last concluded presidential election in Nigeria and Anambra State former governor,
03:05Peter Obi has said that the current president of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tanubu-led government lacks the passion to stop the unwarranted killing of people in manners of criminal acts including terrorism,
03:18stressing that, while the insecurity did not start with the present government, what is most unfortunate is the lack and absence of competence,
03:26commitment, prudent use of resources, patriotism and passion on the part of APC.
03:32APC-led government, leaders to effectively govern, galvanize and lead Nigeria where no one is unwarrantedly oppressed and killed.
03:41A nation where peace, truth and justice reign, this, Peter Obi stated via his social media accounts on Monday evening in response to the United States.
03:51U.S. President, Donald Trump announced plans to launch U.S. military action in Nigeria to wipe out terrorists killing Christians in the West Africa country.
04:02According to Peter Obi, the recent pronouncement by the U.S. government declaring Nigeria a country of particular concern, CPC,
04:11and indicating possible military action should give every well-meaning Nigerian serious concern.
04:16There is no doubt that Nigeria is experiencing an unprecedented level of insecurity with attendant carnage and the most shocking loss of lives and property.
04:27According to Amnesty International, over 10,000 people have been killed in Nigeria since May 2023 and as I have repeatedly lamented,
04:36the unwarranted and unprovoked killing of Nigerians is most condemnable, and all efforts must be made to bring it to a stop.
04:43It is equally important to state that the terrible situation is significantly avoidable with competent leadership and governance.
04:51While the insecurity did not start with the present government, what is most unfortunate is the lack and absence of competence,
04:59commitment, prudent use of resources, patriotism and passion on the part of APC, APC-led government,
05:06leaders to effectively govern, galvanize and lead Nigeria where no one is unwarrantedly oppressed and killed,
05:13a nation where peace, truth and justice reign.
05:17As democracies, Nigeria and the U.S. have long been strategic partners committed to regional peace and security.
05:24That relationship should not falter.
05:26The present situation calls for constructive diplomatic and any other plausible engagement by both nations aimed at addressing the prevailing and disturbing security concerns.
05:38Both countries must work in concert and expeditiously towards that purpose.
05:43Peter Obi had earlier on October 28, 2025, condemned the Nigeria government over rising criminal acts in drug abuse-related crimes,
05:51saying, when criminals can now use the country logistics companies to distribute narcotics across the country.
05:58Barrister Jefferson Muahairan, a human right lawyer and a political activist has said,
06:04nothing wrong if it takes the intervention of the United States, U.S. President, Donald Trump to end the raging fires of insecurity,
06:12institutional wickedness and terrorism in Nigeria.
06:15The legal practitioner stated this in numbers of posts he published through his personal social media platform
06:21since President Donald Trump announced U.S. intention to launch military action in Nigeria to wipe out terrorists,
06:29killing Christians in the West Africa country, saying,
06:33if America's saber-rattling, military threat, is the dirty water needed to flush this country clean,
06:39or quench the raging fires of institutional wickedness, insecurity, and terrorism, so be it.
06:46According to barrister Jefferson Muahairan,
06:49dirty water day quench fire, nobody, yes nobody deserves to die in the hands of terrorists.
06:56If it takes Trump's intervention to wake up disgraceful governments to act swiftly, vigorously, patriotically, and responsibly, so be it.
07:05The primary business of government is the safety and protection of the lives and properties of citizens,
07:12whether Christians, or Muslims.
07:14If America's saber-rattling is the dirty water needed to flush this country clean,
07:19or quench the raging fires of institutional wickedness, insecurity, and terrorism, so be it.
07:26Now government weigh serious, citizens day loyal for,
07:30a country of concern to disgraced country.
07:32How did we get here?
07:35This is the lowest of lows in Nigeria-America relations.
07:39A country we ditched the UK for and adopted its system of government.
07:43Practically everything.
07:45This is not really about Trump.
07:47It's more about how we treat crime, punishment, and our bogus criminal justice system.
07:53The government has surrounded itself with fawning nincompoop,
07:56and incompetent advisors, who see national security only through narrow tribal prisms and ritualism,
08:03adept at creating enemies for the government instead of friends.
08:07No attempt at conciliative politics or national unity.
08:11Almost three years, there are no ambassadors to major countries.
08:15Our foreign policy chiefs are torn between transactional politics of financial safe heavens
08:20as a alignment with non-aligned low-energy Caribbean countries.
08:24Our domestic policy leans more towards appeasement of fading potentates rather than the enforcement
08:30of nation-building rules.
08:32We can't continue this way.
08:34Either we sit down and talk, or others will do the talking to us.
08:38A collapsed or exploding Nigeria is a threat to global peace and a humongous humanitarian
08:44disaster that must be avoided at all cost.
08:48We are almost at the gate.
08:49Where's the break?
08:50We have reported that Ogun State-born princess, Ola Tarira Majeko Dunmianiru has reacted over
08:57Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has declared the founder and publisher of Sahara
09:02Reporters News Media, Omiyele Sawari wanted for organizing protest in Lagos State.
09:08Which, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mishujimo Sensawari has allegedly committed
09:14the offense of breach of public peace, and the police commissioner thereafter confirmed
09:18the arrest of 13 persons he described as vagabonds and miscreants as group of people came out
09:24on Monday morning to protest against the demolition of their settlements after their houses at the
09:30Koka and Odulari areas of a warrenshocki community in Kasofay local government area of Lagos
09:36State were brought down at midnight on Saturday, hours after the state government announced that it
09:42had compensated about 80 property owners on Friday, forcing some concerned citizens to condemn
09:48the government for displacing families without a clear plan for relocation and reintegration into
09:53the housing system.
09:55This, Omiyele Sawari in an on-the-spot video statement made on Monday at the scene of the
10:01protest, said, he could not come down from the vehicle because he had a privileged information
10:06that there was plans to kill him if he comes out openly during the protest.
10:11According to Sawari, the action of the police explained why President Donald Trump of the United
10:16States, US is considering military action in Nigeria because the US president has seen weak
10:22leadership and leaders do not mean well for the people. According to the Lagos State Police
10:28Commissioner, I hereby as the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Police Command, declare
10:33Sawari wanted. I declare him wanted for causing disturbance of public peace and an act to commit
10:39a felony by planning and putting all the plans in motion to block the third mainland bridge to cause
10:45hardship for Lagosians and other Nigerians, more especially visitors, who are transients
10:51through this end. We will not allow that. We are closing in on him. Anywhere he is, he should
10:57know that we are closing in on him. We learned that he was in a bus and being videoed. Why didn't
11:03he come down? He came down in Abuja. He should come down, wherever he is, he should report himself
11:10to the nearest police station. We are going to arrest him, investigate him and prosecute
11:16him. The Commissioner of Police said massive deployment of police personnel had been made,
11:22not just to the third mainland bridge but also to other parts of the state, where coordinated
11:27protests are likely to hold. The police boss stressed that, this location is vital to the
11:33city's economy and the well-being of commuters. We will not allow any action, peaceful or otherwise,
11:39that seeks to block the bridge and disrupt livelihoods. Any attempt to obstruct the third
11:45mainland bridge is a direct threat to public safety and national infrastructure. Anyone attempting to
11:51disturb public peace will be arrested, investigated and prosecuted. Ogun state-born princess, Ola
11:58Terira Majekodun Miniru has reacted over the description of Nigeria as a disgraced country,
12:04by President Donald Trump of the United States, U.S., saying, the greatest contribution the United
12:11States and its allies can make at this pivotal moment is to support the genuine democratic emergence
12:17of visionary, credible, and people-centered Nigerian leaders, not the preservation of a kleptocratic
12:23status quo that has entrenched poverty, division and despair, calling on the international community
12:29for the urgent need to uphold democracy and human dignity amid President Trump's plans to begin U.S.
12:35military actions in Nigeria to end the killing of Christians in Nigeria. While reacting to the
12:41recent remarks by President Donald Trump portraying Nigeria as a disgraced country, Princess Ola Terira
12:48acknowledged the deep governance challenges confronting Africa's most populous nation but emphasized that
12:54Nigeria's struggle is not one of Christian targeted conflict, but one of governance, justice, and
13:00humanity itself. The greatest contribution the United States and its allies can make at this pivotal
13:07moment is to support the genuine democratic emergence of visionary, credible, and people-centered Nigerian
13:13leaders, not the preservation of a kleptocratic status quo that has entrenched poverty, division
13:19and despair. True partnership must empower integrity and merit, not those who have rigged themselves
13:25into power through corruption and coercion. Princess Ola Terira called for global collaboration to
13:32restore faith in governance and strengthen democratic institutions, noting that Nigeria's stability and
13:38progress are critical not only for its citizens but for Africa and the world at large.
13:43Only through principled engagement and unwavering support for democracy can Nigeria's citizens
13:49rebuild their nation in peace and dignity, free from the devastation of renewed conflict.
13:55I look forward to continued dialogue, progressive cooperation, and a shared vision for humanity,
14:01she concluded. We have reported that President Donald Trump of the United States of America has
14:07placed U.S. soldiers on red alert for possible war in Nigeria, according to President Trump,
14:13the U.S. Department of War should prepare U.S. troops for possible military action in Nigeria if the
14:19Nigerian government continued to allow the killing of Christians. The U.S. troops may very well go into
14:26that now disgraced country, guns a-blazing, to completely wipe out the Islamic terrorists who are
14:31committing these horrible atrocities. This, President Trump issued on Saturday evening in line with Greenwich
14:38Meridian Time after President Bola Ahmed Tanubou personally signed a statement rejecting Trump's
14:44earlier claim on Friday that Christians are being targeted and killed in Nigeria, although President Bola
14:51Ahmed Tanubou disagreed with Trump who had described the high-land. President Donald Trump of the United
14:57States of America has placed U.S. soldiers on red alert for possible war in Nigeria. According to President Trump,
15:04the U.S. Department of War should prepare U.S. troops for possible military action in Nigeria if the
15:10Nigerian government continued to allow the killing of Christians. The U.S. troops may very well go into
15:17that now disgraced country, guns a-blazing, to completely wipe out the Islamic terrorists who are
15:22committing these horrible atrocities. This, President Trump issued on Saturday evening in line with Greenwich
15:29Meridian Time after President Bola Ahmed Tanubou personally signed a statement rejecting Trump's
15:35earlier claim on Friday that Christians are being targeted and killed in Nigeria, although President
15:42Bola Ahmed Tanubou disagreed with Trump who had described the high level of insecurity in Nigeria as
15:48a religious war by Islamic terrorists against Christians. But, some Nigerians quickly took to the comments
15:55section of President Bola Ahmed Tanubou post on X social media platform, and pasted a screenshot of
16:02a tweet published by President Bola Ahmed Tanubou on January 29, 2014, wherein, President Bola Ahmed Tanubou
16:11apparently had long accepted and agreed that the insecurity in Nigeria is possibly a religious war
16:18against Christians in the West Africa country, verbatim, in the tweet, Tanubou said,
16:24The slaughtering of Christian worshippers is strongly condemnable. It calls to question the
16:29competence of Jonathan, then President of Nigeria, to protect Nigerians. This old statement by President
16:35Bola Ahmed Tanubou indicated that President Donald Trump of the United States of America may not be the
16:41first person to describe the insecurity in Nigeria as a religious war against Christian communities in the
16:47West Africa country. President Trump in his latest policy statement via his Truth social media platform
16:54on Saturday evening, said and in quotes that, If the Nigerian government continues to allow the
17:00killing of Christians, the USA will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria, and may very well go
17:07into that now disgraced country, guns a-blazing, to completely wipe out the Islamic terrorists who are
17:13committing these horrible atrocities. I am hereby instructing our Department of War to prepare
17:19for possible action. If we attack, it will be fast, vicious, and sweet, just like the terrorist
17:26thugs attack our cherished Christians. Warning! The Nigerian government better move fast. According to
17:33President Bola Ahmed Tanubou, Nigeria stands firmly as a democracy governed by constitutional guarantees of
17:40religious liberty. Since 2023, our administration has maintained an open and active engagement with
17:48Christian and Muslim leaders alike and continues to address security challenges which affect citizens
17:53across the country. Reports on Saturday early morning in the Africa country of Tanzania, indicated that
17:59thousands of youths in the country have continued mass protest in the Tanzania capital city of Dodoma,
18:05also simultaneously in the country former capital city of Dar es Salaam which remains the country's
18:11largest city and its main economic hub. While streets in Wanzha, Imbaya, and Arusha have remained
18:18occupied by the aggrieved youths who the major opposition political party, Chayma claimed have been shot at,
18:25and over 700 of them have been killed by security operatives since the violent protest erupted in the country on
18:32Wednesday over the 2025 presidential election allegedly marred by corrupt practices. But, the Tanzania
18:39Foreign Ministry dismissed the claim, saying, the Tanzania government is not aware of any death
18:45recorded or any of the protesters killed, adding, the government has not used excessive force on the
18:51protesters. This, the United Nations, UN Human Rights Office stated on Friday that it has a credible report
18:59of at least 10 deaths recorded as a result of killing of protesters by the Tanzania security forces,
19:06and information from border communities between Tanzania and Kenya indicated that, on Thursday,
19:12October 30, in the afternoon, chaos broke out at the Namanga border checkpoint as Kenyan and
19:18Tanzanian youth threw stones at Tanzanian police, and the police responded with live ammunition and tear gas
19:24canisters, leading to a casualty of two people shot dead by police and two others, including a Kenyan
19:31police officer, was seriously injured, while violent protest continued across major cities in Tanzania.
19:38President Samia Suluhu Hassan of Chama Chama Panduzzi, CCM political party was declared winner and the
19:45electoral body announced on Saturday early morning that the president secured a re-election figure of 97.66% of the votes,
19:54which, represents 31,913,866 ballots. In the October 29, 2025 controversial presidential election boycotted by
20:08the country main opposition political party, Chama, which the Chama political party did by not signing the
20:14electoral code of conduct after the set deadline and the Tanzania electoral body subsequently banned the
20:21Chama political party from participating in the general election and all by-elections till 2030,
20:27and this, is in addition to the disqualifications of challenges like Tundu Lishu of Chama political
20:33party, the main opposition leader who remains detained since April 2025 and other serious challenger,
20:40Luhaga Mpina of ACT Wazalendo, was disqualified on technicalities. The final result showed Hassan 97
20:49won and 66 Jun percent of the vote, dominating every conspiracy.
20:52Kingsley Kanunter Kanu, the younger brother to Mazinamdi Kanu in an ex-post as reshared by barrister
20:59Aloyeji Makor, the coordinating lawyer for the detained Biafra Republic agitation leader,
21:04Mazinamdi Kanu has given reasons why his elder brother had continued to defend himself on the ground of no
21:12case submission, saying, the federal government of Nigeria who made the accusations and filed the
21:18terrorism charges against the Biafra leader has not been able to pinpoint any aspect of the
21:24Nigerian laws that should warrant his brother, Mazinamdi Kanu to enter defense, citing several
21:30court rulings that invalidated the federal government accusations against the detained Biafra leader,
21:36this, Kingsley Kanunter Kanu stated in reaction to the commentary of Dr. Sam Ahmadi, published on
21:42this day newspaper, after the detained leader of the indigenous people of Biafra, Namdi Kanu,
21:48on Monday, abandoned his earlier plan to call witnesses in his ongoing trial before the federal
21:54high court in Abuja. Namdi Kanu who is being prosecuted on seven counts of terrorism charges brought
22:01against him by the federal government, last two Friday, had prayed the court for an adjournment
22:07after informing the trial judge, Justice James Amatosho, that his former legal team, led by a
22:13former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Chief Kanu Agabi, San, had yet to release
22:19his case file to him. Though, Nandi Kanu had earlier expressed his readiness to open his defense in a
22:26written application to the court, in which he indicated his intention to call witnesses and
22:31requested the issuance of witness summons, but, at the resumed hearing on Monday, Kanu told the court
22:38that upon reviewing the case file, he had concluded that there was no valid charge against him. Nandi Kanu
22:44argued that since he believed the charges were unlawful and that the prosecution had failed to establish
22:50any case, there was no need for him to proceed with his defense. According to Punch newspaper,
22:56the trial judge, Justice James Amatosho, directed Kanu to file a written address formally stating his
23:03position and to serve the prosecution accordingly. Justice Amatosho further advised the IPOB leader to
23:10consult experts in criminal law to understand the possible legal implications of his decision.
23:16The judge thereafter adjourned the case to November 4, 5, and 6 for the adoption of final written
23:22addresses, based either on Kanu's position that no case had been established against him or for him to
23:28proceed with his defense if he decides otherwise. Kingsley can utter Kanu's statement as recirculated by
23:35barrister Aloy Ejimakor on Thursday, tagged, legal rejoinder, to the misleading commentary by Dr. Sam Abadi,
23:43published in this day of the 30th of October 2025, titled, If I were Kanu, I would not refuse to write a
23:50defense. State President Bola Ahmed Tanubu of Nigeria has issued a revised policy actions over the 2025
23:58presidential pardons he had earlier granted to 175 persons, some of whom were convicted murderers,
24:06deadly kidnappers, which included Mayim Sander, who had spent barely six years and eight months at the
24:12Seleger Medium Security Custodial Center after she was convicted and sentenced to death by hanging over
24:18the killing of her husband, Bilyami Nubello in Abuja, who she stabbed three times repeatedly,
24:24this President Bola Ahmed Tanubu in his earlier presidential pardon granted to the 37-years-old
24:32convicted and condemned murderer, Mayim Sander, had asked her to go home free because of her children,
24:38but, following public outcry and condemnation, in the revised version of the presidential pardons
24:44signed into law on October 21, 2025 and made available to the public by the Presidency on Wednesday,
24:51October 29, 2025, President Tanubu commuted the death sentence to 12 years imprisonment,
24:59although, the Presidency never mentioned the total numbers of people granted the presidential pardons,
25:04but, the list of beneficiaries made available by the presidential spokesperson,
25:10Bayo Onanuga, indicated that only 86 persons were granted the presidential pardons,
25:16and Mayim Sander apparently spelt as Mayim Sander was last on the list, and the names of earlier
25:21beneficiaries like Kelvin Prosper Oniara, were not seen in the revised edition of the list, maybe,
25:27the names were omitted due to excessive public outcry that Prosper Kelvin Oniara was a convicted
25:33notorious high-profile gang leader of a deadly kidnapping group that were widely stated to be
25:38responsible for the kidnapping and subsequent killing of a former Anambra state deputy governor,
25:44Chulian Wickay, kidnapping of a prominent legal practitioner, Maiko Zekome on August 24, 2013,
25:51along Benin-Auchi road and during the kidnapping operation, the gunman ambushed and killed four
25:57police officers including the divisional police officer, DPO of Ahor Division who led the police
26:03team in an attempt to rescue Maiko Zekome, outside that, the 44 years old Oniara was also stated to
26:10be responsible for the kidnapping of a judge in the Edo state judiciary, a top female official of the
26:16Federal Inland Revenue Service, FERS, among other several members of the National Youth Service Corps,
26:23NYSC and security agents and Oniara was also stated to carry out several armed robberies and kidnap
26:30operations in Delta, Edo, Rivers and Anambra states, maintaining operational base and detention camps
26:37in Wari and Kokori community in Delta state, Ugbukolo community in Benaway state, Benin City in Edo state,
26:45and Aberinabia state, that on the 18th of September 2013, Oniara human rights lawyer,
26:52barrister Jefferson Muaharen has condemned and berated the federal government of Nigeria under the
26:58presidency of Bola Ahmed Tanubu, for arresting, detaining and remanding to Kuja prison, barrister Aloyeji
27:04Makor, the lawyer to the detained Biafra Republic agitation leader, Marzi Namdi Kanu after Aloyeji
27:11Makor was seen joining the Free Namdi Kanu protest in Abuja on Monday, according to the human rights
27:18lawyer who have remarkable experience in fighting against police extrajudicial killing. One notable
27:24exception is that a lawyer enjoys less freedom than others to speak publicly about his or her own cases,
27:31but not when it involves solidarity marches and protests for his client. The conducts of lawyers
27:36and the limit of their professional duties is the kennel of the alarming accusation by the presidency
27:42yesterday against the lawyer of Mr. Namdi Kanu and his subsequent arrest by the police for his presence
27:48at the scene in Abuja, where protesters were marching peacefully demanding the release of Mr. Kanu.
27:53The statement from the presidency and the police action is obviously a culmination of undisguised
27:59hostility towards the lawyer for having the temerity to represent a person the government
28:04have since prosecuted and convicted in the court of public opinions. Ordinarily, a lawyer's bail
28:10application for alleged crime of a legal protest won't be refused. The refusal is concerning and
28:16turning a simple matter into a political case of vendetta and persecution. Bayo Onanuga, the special
28:22advisor to the president on information and strategy had on Monday tweeted while the Free Namdi Kanu
28:28protest was ongoing, that, I spotted Aloy Ejimakor, one of Namdi Kanu's lawyers, among the small group
28:35of protesters mobilized in Abuja by Omiyele Sawari. I wonder what Mr. Ejimakor was thinking when he
28:42decided to join this shambolic protest. As a lawyer, he should be aware of the principle of subjudici,
28:49particularly in relation to the ongoing treason case before the court. The prosecution has concluded
28:55its case, and it is now incumbent upon Mr. Ejimakor and the other lawyers to mount a strong defense for
29:01Kanu. Rather than focusing on preparing a strong case, Mr. Ejimakor has resorted to extra-legal tactics,
29:09joining a career anarchist, to influence the process. Meanwhile, few hours ago, the organizer of the
29:15protest and the founder of Sahara Reporter's news media, Omiyele Sawari stated via his social media
29:22accounts that, we have been informed that plans are allegedly in place at Kuja prison to harm Namdi
29:28Kanu's younger brother, Fineboy and Aloy Ejimakor, his special counsel, inside Kuja prison by special
29:35warders assigned by the Asawaju bowler Ahmed Tanubu. Bayo Onanuga in the tweet demanded a snaction
29:42against barrister Aloy Ejimakor for joining the protest, calling for the release of his client,
29:48Namdi Kanu. Nigeria Police Force, NPF under the leadership of the Inspector General of Police,
29:55IGP Kayode Egbetokan who is currently in the United States, US, attending the International
30:02Association of Chiefs of Police, IACP Annual Conference in Denver, Colorado, USA, alongside other
30:10senior police officers has warned troublemakers to resist the temptation of hijacking the free
30:15campaign. Mazi Namdi Kanu protests slated to hold today across the West Africa country by the
30:21organizers and other group of Nigerians to demand the release of the detained Biafra Republic agitation
30:27leader, Mazi Namdi Kanu. Also, the NPF reminded the organizers and the protesters to respect the
30:33federal high court order that restricted them from staging the protest in certain areas in Abuja,
30:39such areas which included Aso Rock Villa and its environs, the National Assembly Complex,
30:45force headquarters, the Court of Appeal, Eagle Square and Shehushigari Way, while assuring the
30:51protesters of protection. The NPF in a statement issued and made available by the force spokesperson,
30:58Benjamin Hundeyan, indicated that, the Nigeria Police Force reaffirms its unwavering commitment to
31:04upholding the rule of law and maintaining public peace in accordance with constitutional provisions.
31:11This follows the subsisting order of the Federal High Court, Abuja Division, given on the 17th of
31:17October 2025, by Honorable Justice M. G. Umar, in suit number FHC, ABJ, CS, 2202-2025, Federal Republic of
31:31Nigeria v. Omiyele Sawore and four others. The order restrains the respondents and any other persons or
31:38groups acting under their instruction from staging protests within and around Aso Rock Villa and its
31:43environs, the National Assembly Complex, force headquarters, the Court of Appeal, Eagle Square and
31:50Shehushigari Way. In deference to the authority of the court and in line with the constitutional mandate of
31:56the police to enforce law and order, the force hereby calls on all groups, whether in support of
32:02or opposed to the ongoing agitation for the release of Mazi Namdi Kano, to adhere strictly to the
32:08provisions of the court order. The directive remains binding and enforceable pending further judicial
32:14proceedings. The Nigeria Police Force recognizes and respects the rights of citizens to peaceful
32:20assembly and expression. However, such rights must be exercised responsibly and within the limits of
32:27the law, particularly where public safety, national security, and the rights of other citizens are
32:32concerned. The court's intervention is therefore a safeguard, not a suppression, of constitutional freedoms.
32:40Accordingly, all intending protesters and counter-protest groups are strongly advised to avoid
32:46restricted areas and to refrain from any act. Founder of Sahara Reporters News Media and the organizer of
32:52the Free Namdi Kano protest, Omiyele Sawari has refuted and debunked the reports circulating in some
32:59sections of the media that the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has stopped the upcoming Monday,
33:04October 20 mass protest organized to demand the release of the detained Biafra Republic agitation leader,
33:12Mazi Namdi Kano, saying, the media report is false and a calculated attempt to distract members of the
33:18public from coming out to join the protest, adding, Namdi Kano is so sick that the people must come out
33:25now to set him free. The sickness as alleged by Omiyele Sawari apparently challenged the medical report
33:31issued by the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA who had submitted its panel report before the trial
33:38court on Thursday that Namdi Kano is fit to face trial, that, the sickness is not life-threatening,
33:44but, punch newspaper reporter at the court on Thursday reported that it was the Department of
33:50State Services, BSS lawyer, who happened to be one of the parties in the dispute that presented the NMA
33:57medical report before the court, we are yet to ascertain the independency, fairness, objectivity,
34:03accuracy and transparency of the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA in conducting the medical
34:09examination. In a statement on Saturday, Omiyele Sawari said, the Federal High Court in Abuja has
34:17not stopped the proposed free Namdi Kano protest slated for Monday, October 20, 2025. Contrary to the
34:24misleading claims being circulated by police lawyers and sections of the media, no order was granted
34:30restraining citizens from exercising their constitutional right to peaceful assembly.
34:36Justice Umar of the Federal High Court declined to issue any ex-party order sought by the police to
34:41halt the nationwide protest altogether. What exists is a purported, court order, obtained in chambers
34:48by lawyers of the police, which has not been served on anyone, asking that protesters not protest at
34:54Aso Rock Villa, National Assembly, Eagle Square, and a certain Shehushigari Way, the latest false claims
35:01designed to confuse the public and discourage participation. The protest date is sacrosanct,
35:07the movement is unstoppable. In another statement, Omiyele Sawari said, I was deeply involved in the
35:14struggle for the validation of the June 12 election, and I remember vividly how the system operated back
35:20then, how they weaponized the judiciary to buy time, to deceive the public, and to justify injustice.
35:27They kept saying, Abiola's case is in court, using that as a shield for tyranny, until they eventually
35:33killed him a day before his, supposed, release. It was a well-orchestrated tragedy disguised as legal
35:41processes. Today, I see the same script being replayed with Marzi Namdi Kano, the same manipulation
35:47officers who are on level, bringing youth the news in a more digital way.
