00:20And there are a handful of other people that we're still searching for that we hope weren't
00:26on site and that we hear we're somewhere else.
00:31The other piece of news is we are moving from a rescue to a recovery mode.
00:38We do not expect to find anyone else alive in the area.
00:42Beshear said one of the victims is believed to be a child.
00:46He has declared a state of emergency and mobilized the National Guard to expedite resources to

00:53The National Transportation Safety Board, NTSB, confirmed that investigators have recovered
00:59both black boxes, the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder.
01:04NTSB member Todd Inman said airport surveillance footage showed a large fire plume near the
01:10left wing moments after takeoff.
01:12The aircraft's left engine detached during takeoff, yet the plane managed to lift off briefly,
01:18clearing the airport fence before crashing into nearby structures and terrain.
01:22The crash ignited a massive blaze that spread roughly 800 meters through an industrial area,
01:28including a petroleum recycling facility that later exploded.
01:32Inman said the 34-year-old MD-11 freighter, bound for Honolulu, was neither delayed nor under
01:38maintenance before departure.
01:41The NTSB's maintenance team will review aircraft records and flight cycles as part of the investigation.
