00:00Alright Sam, so that was a tough result out there. What were your thoughts on the game?

00:06Well obviously we didn't start very well with the centre forward going through and putting them one

00:11up. But then I thought we grew into the game slowly and I think probably the last half hour

00:17of the first half we were on top. Obviously we got back into the game through macro and

00:23we looked threatening. Without being at our best we did still look threatening so

00:27at half time we were really positive. It was a good talk in the change room at half time

00:34and we felt like we knew what we needed to do. Unfortunately we did nothing. We didn't

00:41do anything that we said we were going to do at half time. In fact the opposite. So we're

00:47obviously really disappointed in the change room because we talked about doing the basics

00:52and doing the basics right and staying on the front foot and unfortunately we didn't do

00:56that second half. Newport to their credit did. I think that was the difference between the two

01:02teams. They did the basics right, we didn't. And ultimately no complaints from our side,

01:06they were the better side and they've gone away with a 4-2 win.

01:10I'm sure there'll be a few players that will feel a bit down about that result.

01:16How do you try and uplift the team after a result like that?

01:21Yeah, it's difficult. Obviously it's difficult. All the boys are down in there.

01:26Sometimes it's easier when you put your hands up and say we were beaten by the better side.

01:33So all we can do is get to training on Tuesday. We've still got seven out of eight at home or whatever

01:42it is so we do need to go on a run to put us back in the mix even though we're still up there and a

01:46joint top or whatever it is. Other teams have got games in hand on us now so we've got to regroup,

01:54go again and we need to go on a little run in order to give ourselves a chance. But yeah,

02:01boys are down but we'll do exactly that and do what it takes to get three points next week.

02:07Yeah, and just looking on the game ahead, what's your thoughts on that?

02:14Yeah, so we've got Cliven next week followed by Newport Saints, games that again we feel that we

02:21need to win now. I don't think a draw is good enough or whatever. So yeah, both at home,

02:29games that we need to be winning if we have any chance of being in the top two. So again,

02:34yeah, we'll regroup, we'll have a look at that game, we'll look at what we need to do in order

02:39to improve next week and try and get on that little run that we need to do.

02:43All right, so that was a tough result out there. What were your thoughts on today's game?

02:49Yeah, obviously very frustrating losing. Probably thought during the game they wanted it more than

02:55us. I think the positives to it is that I thought we, us as a team in the first half,

03:01we really pressed well. We stopped with them having the ball in the wide areas and we managed to get

03:07obviously our goal in the first half. Again, it's very frustrating losing. Defensively, we were

03:16quite at it today. I don't think it was our day really. We're not going to drown that,

03:21we're going to put things right in training and move forward. But yeah, we're going to put this

03:27behind us now. That game's happened. We're going to focus on the next games ahead and we're going

03:33to continuously look to improve. So yeah. And just looking at your performance,

03:40there was a great save from yourself at one point. Are you just able to talk about your performance?

03:45Yeah, I thought I'd done okay. I thought on the other day, we probably would have beaten them.

03:52But I'd say I thought I'd done all right. But at the end of the day, we've lost and it's very

03:58frustrating. But yeah, we're going to put things right and I think we've got the credit next.

04:03And I think for us going into that game, that should give us a massive confidence boost going

04:07into that game, which should be, for us, it should be three points really. And we've just got to keep

04:13on building on that. And you know, that's what we're going to do. And look, I'm not just saying

04:18negative things, you know, there was positive things during the game, you know, we scored two,

04:23I thought we got back into the game well. But unfortunately, they were just a bit more clinical

04:29than us. And it's very frustrating because I don't like losing. But yeah, it's happened now,

04:36and we're just going to move on.
