05:30commitment, prudent use of resources, patriotism and passion on the part of APC,

05:36APC-led government, leaders to effectively govern, galvanize and lead Nigeria where no one is unwarrantedly oppressed and killed,

05:44a nation where peace, truth and justice reign. As democracies, Nigeria and the U.S. have long been strategic partners committed to regional peace and security.

05:55That relationship should not falter. The present situation calls for constructive diplomatic and any other plausible engagement by both nations aimed at addressing the prevailing and disturbing security concerns.

10:47the offense of breach of public peace, and the police commissioner thereafter confirmed

10:51the arrest of 13 persons he described as vagabonds and miscreants as group of people came

10:57out on Monday morning to protest against the demolition of their settlements after their

11:02houses at the Koka and Odulari areas of Awaranshaki community in Kasofay.

11:07Local government area of Lagos State were brought down at midnight on Saturday, hours after the

11:13state government announced that it had compensated about 80 property owners on Friday, forcing some

11:19concerned citizens to condemn the government for displacing families without a clear plan for

11:25relocation and reintegration into the housing system.

11:28This, Omiyele Sawari in an on-the-spot video statement made on Monday at the scene of the

11:34protest, said, he could not come down from the vehicle because he had a privileged information

11:39that there was plans to kill him if he comes out openly during the protest.

13:10action, peaceful or otherwise, that seeks to block the bridge and disrupt livelihoods. Any attempt to

13:17obstruct the third mainland bridge is a direct threat to public safety and national infrastructure.

19:20a religious war against Christian communities in the West Africa country. President Trump in his latest

19:26policy statement via his Truth social media platform on Saturday evening, said and in quotes that,

19:33if the Nigerian government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the USA will immediately

19:38stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria, and may very well go into that now disgraced country,

19:44guns a-blazing, to completely wipe out the Islamic terrorists who are committing these horrible

19:49atrocities. I am hereby instructing our Department of War to prepare for possible action. If we attack,

19:57it will be fast, vicious, and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our cherished Christians.

20:04Warning. The Nigerian government better move fast. According to President Bola Ahmed Tanubu,

20:10Nigeria stands firmly as a democracy governed by constitutional guarantees of religious liberty.

20:23Muslim leaders alike and continues to address security challenges which affect citizens across

21:00Reports on Saturday early morning in the Africa country of Tanzania, indicated that thousands of

21:05youths in the country have continued mass protest in the Tanzania capital city of Dodoma,

21:11also simultaneously in the country former capital city of Dar es Salaam which remains the country's largest

21:18city and its main economic hub. While streets in Wanzha, Mbeya, and Arusha have remained occupied by the

21:25aggrieved youths who the major opposition political party, Cheba claimed have been shot at, and over 700 of

26:20him. Namdi Kanu argued that since he believed the charges were unlawful and that the prosecution had

26:26failed to establish any case, there was no need for him to proceed with his defense. According to Punch

26:32newspaper, the trial judge, Justice James Omatosho, directed Kanu to file a written address formally

26:39stating his position and to serve the prosecution accordingly. Justice Omatosho further advised the

26:45IPOB leader to consult experts in criminal law to understand the possible legal implications of his

26:52decision. The judge thereafter adjourned the case to November 4, 5, and 6 for the adoption of final

26:59written addresses, based either on Kanu's position that no case had been established against him or for

27:34narrative, the recent article by Dr. Sam Abadi in this day of the 30th of October 2025, suggesting

27:43that Mazi Namdi Kanu should write a defense instead of claiming he has no case, exemplifies how poorly

27:49informed commentary can distort constitutional discourse in Nigeria. While the piece parades

27:55itself as legal analysis, it fundamentally misstates the law and facts. President Bola Ahmed Tanubu of

28:02Nigeria has issued a revised policy actions over the 2025 presidential pardons he had earlier granted to

28:09175 persons, some of whom were convicted murderers, deadly kidnappers, which included Mayim Sander,

28:17who had spent barely six years and eight months at the Seleja Medium Security Custodial Center after

28:23she was convicted and sentenced to death by hanging over the killing of her husband,

28:28Bilyami Nubello in Abuja, who she stabbed three times repeatedly. This, President Bola Ahmed Tanubu in

28:35his earlier presidential pardon granted to the 37 years old convicted and condemned murderer,

28:42Mayim Sander, had asked her to go home free because of her children, but, following public outcry and

28:48condemnation, in the revised version of the presidential pardon signed into law on October 21st, 2025 and made

28:56available to the public by the presidency on Wednesday, October 29th, 2025, President Tanubu commuted the

29:04death sentence to 12 years imprisonment, although, the presidency never mentioned the total numbers of

29:10people granted the presidential pardons, but, the list of beneficiaries made available by the presidential

29:16spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, indicated that only 86 persons were granted the presidential pardons, and

29:24Mayim Sander apparently spelt as Mayim Sander was last on the list, and the names of earlier beneficiaries

29:30like Kelvin Prosper Oniara, were not seen in the revised edition of the list, maybe, the names were

29:36omitted due to excessive public outcry that Prosper Kelvin Oniara was a convicted notorious high-profile

29:43gang leader of a deadly kidnapping group that were widely stated to be responsible for the kidnapping and

29:48subsequent killing of a former Anambra State Deputy Governor, Julian Wickay, kidnapping of a prominent

29:55legal practitioner, Mike Ozekome on August 24th, 2013 along Benin-Auchi Road and during the kidnapping

30:02operation, the gunman ambushed and killed four police officers including the divisional police officer,

30:08DPO of A-Haw Division who led the police team in an attempt to rescue Mike Ozekome. Outside that,

30:15the 44 years old Oniara was also stated to be responsible for the kidnapping of a judge in the

30:21Edo State Judiciary, a top female official of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FERS, among other

30:28several members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC and security agents and Oniara was also stated to

30:35carry out several armed robberies and kidnap operations in Delta, Edo, rivers and Anambra states,

30:42maintaining operational base and detention camps in Wari and Kokori community in Delta State,

30:49Udbukolo community in Benowe State, Benin City in Edo State, and Aber in Abia State, that on the 18th

30:56of September 2013, Oniara issued a 60-day ultimatum to the Federal Government of Nigeria to release some of

31:04his boys who were arrested by the Department of State Services, DSS or he would wreak havoc on

31:10innocent Nigerian citizens, and, on the 25th of September 2013, a combined security team of the

31:17Nigerian Army and DSS operatives arrested Kelvin Prosper Oniara, a convicted notorious terrorist,

31:24kidnapped Kingpin and armed robber, who had been on the wanted list of the security agencies, and

31:30human rights lawyer, Barrister Jefferson Ua Haren has condemned and berated the Federal Government of

31:35Nigeria under the Presidency of Bola Ahmed Tanubu, for arresting, detaining and remanding to Kuja prison,

31:42Barrister Aloyeji Makor, the lawyer to the detained Biafra Republic agitation leader,

31:48Marzi Namdi Kano after Aloyeji Makor was seen joining the Free Namdi Kano protest in Abuja on Monday,

31:55according to the human rights lawyer who have remarkable experience in fighting against police

32:01extrajudicial killing. One notable exception is that a lawyer enjoys less freedom than others to speak

32:07publicly about his or her own cases, but not when it involves solidarity marches and protests for his

32:13client. The conducts of lawyers and the limit of their professional duties is the kennel of the

32:18alarming accusation by the Presidency yesterday against the lawyer of Mr. Namdi Kano and his subsequent

32:25arrest by the police for his presence at a scene in Abuja, where protesters were marching peacefully

32:53The refusal is concerning and turning a simple matter into a political case of vendetta and persecution.

33:06while the Free Namdi Kano protest was ongoing, that, I spotted Aloy Ejimakor, one of Namdi Kano's lawyers,

33:13among the small group of protesters mobilized in Abuja by Omiyele Sawari. I wonder what Mr. Ejimakor was

33:20thinking when he decided to join this shambolic protest. As a lawyer, he should be aware of the

33:26principle of subjudici, particularly in relation to the ongoing treason case before the court.

33:32The prosecution has concluded its case, and it is now incumbent upon Mr. Ejimakor and the other

33:38lawyers to mount a strong defense for Kano. Rather than focusing on preparing a strong case, Mr. Ejimakor

33:45has resorted to extra-legal tactics, joining a career anarchist, to influence the process. Meanwhile,

33:52few hours ago, the organizer of the protest and the founder of Sahara Reporters News Media,

33:58Omiyele Sawari stated via his social media accounts that,

34:02we have been informed that plans are allegedly in place at Kuja Prison to harm Namdi Kano's younger

34:08brother, Fineboy and Aloy Ejimakor, his special counsel, inside Kuja Prison by special warders assigned

34:15by the Asawaju bowler Ahmed Tanubu. Bayo Onanuga in the tweet demanded a snaction against barrister

34:22Aloy Ejimakor for joining the protest, calling for the release of his client, Namdi Kano.

34:28Accordingly, Bayo Onanuga said, I spotted Aloy Ejimakor, one of Namdi Kano's lawyers,

35:01NPF under the leadership of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokan who is currently in

35:08the United States, US, attending the International Association of Chiefs of Police, IACP Annual Conference

35:16in Denver, Colorado, USA, alongside other senior police officers has warned troublemakers to resist

35:23the temptation of hijacking the free Namdi Kano protests slated to hold today across the West

35:29Africa country by the organizers and other group of Nigerians to demand the release of the detained

35:35Biafra Republic agitation leader, Mazi Namdi Kano. Also, the NPF reminded the organizers and the

35:42protesters to respect the Federal High Court order that restricted them from staging the protest in

35:47certain areas in Abuja, such areas which included Aso Rock Villa and its environs, the National Assembly

35:55Complex, Force Headquarters, the Court of Appeal, Eagle Square and Shehushigari Way, while assuring the

36:01protesters of protection. The NPF in a statement issued and made available by the force spokesperson,

36:08Benjamin Hundeyen, indicated that, the Nigeria Police Force reaffirms its unwavering commitment

36:14to upholding the rule of law and maintaining public peace in accordance with constitutional provisions.

36:21This follows the subsisting order of the Federal High Court, Abuja Division, given on 17 October 2025,

36:29by Honorable Justice M. G. Umar, in suit number FHC, ABJ, CS, 2202-2025, Federal Republic of Nigeria

36:41versus Omiyele Sawari and four others. The order restrains the respondents and any other persons or

36:48groups acting under their instruction from staging protests within and around Aso Rock Villa and its

36:53environs, the National Assembly Complex, Force Headquarters, the Court of Appeal, Eagle Square and

37:00Shehushigari Way. In deference to the authority of the court and in line with the constitutional mandate

37:06of the police to enforce law and order, the force hereby calls on all groups, whether in support of

37:12or opposed to the ongoing agitation for the release of Mazi Namdi Kano, to adhere strictly to the provisions

37:19of the court order. The directive remains binding and enforceable pending further judicial proceedings.

37:25The Nigeria Police Force recognizes and respects the rights of citizens to peaceful assembly and expression.

37:32However, such rights must be exercised responsibly and within the limits of the law,

37:37particularly where public safety, national security, and the rights of other citizens are concerned.

37:43The court's intervention is therefore a safeguard, not a suppression, of constitutional freedoms.

37:50Accordingly, all intending protesters and counter-protest groups are strongly advised to

37:55avoid restricted areas and to refrain from any act capable of provoking confrontation or disturbing

38:01public order. The force will ensure the free flow of traffic, protection of lives and property,

38:08and security of all law-abiding citizens. Any person or group that uses protests as cover to incite violence,

38:16carry or use offensive weapons, vandalize public or private property, kidnap, or engage in acts likely

38:23to cause loss of life or serious injury will be dealt with decisively. Offenders will be arrested,

38:35Omiyele Sawari has refuted and debunked the reports circulating in some sections of the media

38:41that the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has stopped the upcoming Monday, October 20 mass protest

38:48organized to demand the release of the detained Biafra Republic agitation leader, Marzi Namdi Kano,

38:54saying, the media report is false and a calculated attempt to distract members of the public from coming

39:00out to join the protest, adding, Namdi Kano is so sick that the people must come out now to set him

39:07free. The sickness as alleged by Omiyele Sawari apparently challenged the medical report issued by

39:13the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA who had submitted its panel report before the trial court on Thursday

39:20that Namdi Kano is fit to face trial, that, the sickness is not life-threatening, but, Punch newspaper

39:27reporter at the court on Thursday reported that it was the Department of State Services,

39:32PSS lawyer, who happened to be one of the parties in the dispute that presented the NMA medical report

39:39before the court, we are yet to ascertain the independency, fairness, objectivity, accuracy and

39:45transparency of the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA in conducting the medical examination. In a statement

39:52on Saturday, Omiyele Sawari said, the Federal High Court in Abuja has not stopped the proposed

39:59free Namdi Kano protest slated for Monday, October 20, 2025. Contrary to the misleading claims being

40:07circulated by police lawyers and sections of the media, no order was granted restraining citizens

40:12from exercising their constitutional right to peaceful assembly. Justice Umar of the Federal High

40:19Court declined to issue any ex-party order sought by the police to halt the nationwide protest altogether.

40:25What exists is a purported, court order, obtained in chambers by lawyers of the police,

40:31which has not been served on anyone, asking that protesters not protest at Aso Rock Villa,

40:37National Assembly, Eagle Square, and a certain Shehushigari Way, the latest false claims designed

40:43to confuse the public and discourage participation. The protest date is sacrosanct, the movement is

40:49unstoppable. In another statement, Omiyele Sawari said, I was deeply involved in the struggle for the

40:56validation of the June 12th election, and I remember vividly how the system operated back then,

41:02how they weaponized the judiciary to buy time, to deceive the public, and to justify injustice.

41:07They kept saying, Abiola's case is in court, using that as a shield for tyranny, until they eventually

41:14killed him a day before his, supposed, release. It was a well-orchestrated tragedy disguised as legal

41:22processes. Today, I see the same script being replayed with Marzi Namdi Karno, the same manipulation,

41:29the same excuses, fake narrators, fake protesters, the same abuse of process. The language has not

41:36changed. Only the victims have. History is repeating itself before our eyes. And just as we fought to

41:43expose the truth then, we must do so now, before it's too late. The Nandi Karno I saw in court on

41:51October 16th is very ill. We must rescue him before another citizen is sacrificed to the bloodthirsty
