00:00I'm so excited about him being elected. I voted for him early a couple weeks ago and I really
00:18think that a new fresh face is really what the city needs. I'm so excited to be having him
00:25in government and it's really exciting and I'm just really happy and I feel like
00:30this is a really positive step forward in the right direction. I think that he is
00:33really big on making New York more affordable and as a student I think that
00:38that's really important to me and making the city just less expensive and
00:44during what he's doing towards the working class and I think that that's
00:48just really important as a student who's not super wealthy and really trying to
00:54be careful about how much I'm spending so I'm really excited about that. I think
00:59it's really cool that we have a new kind of diversity in the politics of this
01:07city you know we've had a lot of the same kind of people for a long time I think
01:11this is a really welcome change and I'm excited to see what he can do for the
01:15people of New York City because this is a great city but it can be really hard to
01:20live here and I hope that he can make it easier.
01:25Again I think it really just reflects how the average you know New York voter and
01:29probably voters across the U.S. are feeling where they're kind of sick of the
01:33same you know politicians saying the same thing where it's left versus right
01:37Democrat versus Republican they want to change someone who has you know maybe not
01:42the best ideas but different ideas and just you know keep doing the same thing
01:46over and over again. I'm hoping to see a more affordable city you know I'm 26
01:51years old I have a roommate it's hard you know especially when you're in school
01:56and supporting yourself and the first we MCA is not the most reliable system so I'm
02:05looking forward to that policy and while I don't have children I have a lot of
02:08friends that do so being able to see universal childcare would be really awesome.
02:13I didn't vote I I'm not a Mondani guy I'm not a Cuomo guy either I usually vote I
02:19wasn't that excited about either candidate with that said I wish Mondani the best I
02:25think there's a lot of people that don't live in New York that are really
02:29excited to call this a communist city and all this stuff that's ridiculous
02:34completely ridiculous New York will be fine life goes on business as usual New
02:39New York is New York will be good
