00:06:23Cause you missed the other day

00:06:40I don't even know myself
00:06:43Everything was happy
00:06:47My heart was broken
00:06:49But I don't think that you understand
00:06:53You know that I can be a fool for you
00:06:57The way you made up all those true views
00:07:01You always wanted so that I can lose
00:07:07You know that I can be a fool for you
00:07:12How many times did you call me up inside
00:07:18I learned to wave myself a little more
00:07:22I don't want to be yours and you can't be mine
00:07:28I don't even know myself
00:07:31Everything was happy

00:07:40You know that I can be a fool for you
00:07:45The way you made up all those true views

00:08:13The way you made up all those true views
00:08:18You always wanted so that I can lose
00:08:23You know that I can be a fool for you
00:08:28You wanted me to be a fool for you
00:08:46You wanted me to be a fool for you
00:08:51The way you made up all those true views
00:08:55You always wanted so that I can lose
00:09:00You know that I can be a fool for you
00:09:08That's super cool
00:09:10You always wanted so that I can be a fool for you
00:09:25Okay
00:09:26So when I first started writing my music
00:09:30I actually worked with many many producers and writers
00:09:35That I always loved
00:09:37And we worked on a lot of ballads
00:09:39And a lot more acoustic kind of music
00:09:42But I always knew that I wanted to
00:09:44Intertwine
00:09:46A bit of jazz
00:09:48Always a bit of jazz for me
00:09:50I listen to jazz every day
00:09:51I listen to Ella Fitzgerald
00:09:52I listen to Billie Holiday
00:09:54I listen to Nina Simone
00:09:55And I knew that I wanted to
00:09:57Bring that style of music into my own
00:10:00So myself and Bjorn here
00:10:04Who is my guitarist and my producer
00:10:06We actually decided to start writing
00:10:16All of the music pretty much together
00:10:18And I suppose that was where the self-sabotage EP was born
00:10:23Fool for you
00:10:25Sober
00:10:26Sweet Tooth
00:10:27All of these songs that I can't wait to perform for you
00:10:29But recently
00:10:31I actually moved from Manchester
00:10:34To London
00:10:35I know
00:10:38I know
00:10:39I don't know why I did it
00:10:40No, but I did it basically for
00:10:43For my career I suppose
00:10:45But when I did specifically move
00:10:47It was quite a hard challenge for me
00:10:49Having grown up in Manchester my whole life
00:10:51So I really wanted to write about those challenges
00:10:55And specifically a street in Manchester
00:10:59There was a jazz bar
00:11:01Called Matt and Fred's
00:11:03Where I first started singing
00:11:05And I wanted to write all about that
00:11:07And all my memories from Manchester
00:11:09This is called Tip Street
00:11:11I hope that you enjoy it
00:11:13Spilling tears in my coffee
00:11:28Just like every morning
00:11:31With the rain on my windows
00:11:35But today you won't stop me
00:11:39Something's feeling different
00:11:42As I pick up my coat
00:11:45And I'm keeping my head high
00:11:48As I walk on the bright side
00:11:50I'm less in the shade
00:11:53Than always yesterday
00:11:55Now it's spring in the city
00:11:58And I did the one-team street
00:12:01Maybe step in these shoes
00:12:03And look further from you
00:12:06These emotional places
00:12:20They don't bring me down
00:12:24Yeah, they don't scare me now
00:12:27I'm still not even down
00:12:28See more cracks in the pavement
00:12:31I'm still not even down
00:12:34But I'm not tripping on
00:12:37And I'm keeping my head high
00:12:40As I walk on the bright side
00:12:43I'm less in the shade
00:12:45Than always yesterday
00:12:47Now it's spring in the city
00:12:50As I did the one-team street
00:12:53Every step in these shoes
00:12:55Every step in these shoes
00:12:56A little further from you
00:12:58These red brick walls
00:13:01Color my life
00:13:03Yeah, the city looks better
00:13:05With the sun in my eyes
00:13:08I know that you're right
00:13:11Right by my side
00:13:13But I'm ready to walk on my own
00:13:17So I'm keeping my head high
00:13:21As I walk on the bright side
00:13:24I'm less in the shade
00:13:26Than always yesterday
00:13:28Now it's spring in the city
00:13:31As I did the one-team street
00:13:34Every step in these shoes
00:13:36A little further from you
00:13:38A little further from you
