Britain’s Prince William visited Paquetá Island in Rio de Janeiro on November 4, during his first-ever trip to Latin America.

Arriving by Brazilian Navy boat, the Prince met local residents, greeted officials from the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio), and engaged with the community.

His visit is part of a wider Brazil trip ahead of the Earthshot Prize awards, which celebrate innovative solutions to global environmental challenges.
