Milano, 4 nov. (askanews) - Andrew Cuomo, il candidato indipendente a sindaco di New York City appoggiato da Donald Trump, afferma di essere l'unico in grado di "proteggere New York dal presidente". "Se Zohran Mamdani fosse sindaco, Trump lo taglierebbe come un coltello nel burro", ha detto l'ex governatore di New York ai giornalisti riuniti fuori da un seggio elettorale della città. "Questo Paese non è un Paese socialista. Questa città non è una città socialista. Lo Stato non è uno Stato socialista. Il socialismo non ha mai funzionato in nessuna parte del mondo, né in Venezuela, né a Cuba. Non funzionerà a New York", ha sottolineato Cuomo.
