Ukraine has just received more U.S.-made Patriot air defence systems — thanks to Germany — in a major boost to its fight against Russia's relentless air attacks. President Zelenskyy says the systems are already being activated across the country to defend against drones and missiles that target civilians, cities, and critical infrastructure.  Meanwhile, Russia continues to launch deadly overnight strikes, killing and injuring innocent people in their sleep. But Ukraine is striking back, hitting key Russian oil facilities deep behind enemy lines — including a major refinery that’s now burning for the fourth time in under two months. 00:00Ukraine just got more of the world's most powerful air defense weapons.

00:04And it couldn't come at a more critical time.

00:06President Zelensky has confirmed that more U.S.-made Patriot air defense systems are now in Ukraine.

00:12They're already being activated to stop Russia's constant missile and drone attacks.

00:16These Patriots are game changers.

00:18They're the most effective shield Ukraine has against deadly aerial strikes.

00:22Germany sent them, more than any other country.

00:25And Zelensky personally thanked Chancellor Friedrich Mertz.

00:28But Ukraine says it still needs many more to protect its cities and power grid.

00:33Russia continues to hammer Ukraine with drones and missiles, often in the middle of the night.

00:38Just recently, a family home was struck in Sumy.

00:41One man died, and five relatives were hurt.

00:44Other attacks hit businesses, homes, and critical energy infrastructure.

00:48At the same time, Ukraine is hitting back hard.

00:51It just struck Russia's massive Saratov oil refinery for the fourth time in seven weeks.

00:56That one site alone processes millions of tons of oil every year.

01:01And Ukraine claims its long-range strikes have slashed Russia's refining capacity by 20%.

01:06With more Patriots in place and strikes deep into Russia, this battle is far from over.
