In this video, James McAvoy reveals his favorite 'X-Men' movie… in a way. For the ‘X-Men’ star, it depends, since for James McAvoy, ‘X-Men: First Class’ took a fresh approach to the series, while ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ had a classic feel mixed in with the relatively new concept of multiverses and changing timelines. 00:00I'd go back and forth as a toss-up between First Class and Days of Future Past.
00:04First Class sort of tried to do something quite different and do a different kind of tonal approach, if you like,
00:10which I thought was really cool.
00:12And then the Days of Future Past kind of went more sort of classic, but it did it so, so well.
00:18And it was sort of, I don't know, correct me if I'm wrong, and I'm not trying to claim anything,
00:23because I didn't direct it or write it, but it was sort of one of the first ones that did all that timeline stuff
00:29and stuff and different university kind of crossover stuff that we kind of weren't used to as much back then.
00:36You know, back then, before the war.
00:39Back when we was on wrestling and a can of beef was a luxury.
00:44It was, it just felt a bit different and a bit new.
00:50So I go back and forth between the two, to be honest with you.
00:52But I got to do some, like, people are going to go like,
00:55oh, you must, you know, get so bored in those big movies and whatever.
00:59And like, playing Charles in Days of Future Past was like a proper, solid acting worker.
01:04It was awesome. It was so good.
01:06Yeah.
