A girl gave an approving thumbs up to a photo with her mom – before noticing her soldier dad had photobombed them after returning home. Gary Brown, 39, from Beverly, West Virginia, is a sergeant first class with the U.S. National Guard and was deployed earlier this year. The move was tough on daughter Adalynn who is a "major daddy's girl," according to mom Lynnlee. Each year the Mountain State Forest Festival selects a queen, as well as minor roles, such as flower girls, crown and scepter bearers, jesters, and around 40 princesses. Addy had been chosen as a royal flower girl, so Gary requested leave to be home for the big occasion. At a cookout on September 26, Lynnlee told the eight-year-old her dad wanted the pair to send a photo at the gathering, so Addy joined her mom and posed for the snap. Little did she know, her dad had snuck onto the deck above, photobombing the photo Addy then inspected. Giving it an approving thumbs-up, Addy didn't notice the familiar figure in the back of the photo, before being encouraged to take a second look.
