00:00And with someone who knows a thing or two about men's figure skating, Kurt, here we go, your forte.

00:08And this is Stephen Gogolev, one of three Canadians here.

00:11And he found a great deal of success as a junior skater, then he grew a foot.

00:19Yeah, so the past few years have been really a struggle for the 20-year-old.

00:23He did find some success a little bit earlier this season.

00:27And he won a pretty big B competition with some pretty strong scores.

00:34Keep in mind his best Grand Prix finish is seventh.

00:48I really like this program for him.

00:51He's a very quiet, stealthy guy.

00:54Even on practice, he skates sometimes at the Granite Club with me, his coach Lee Barkell.

03:38You think, you know, it didn't give him too much time to really think and stress about jumps.

03:43So, it was fun, really well presented.

03:49Well, I know that Steven doesn't always show his excitement over his performances,

03:55but I'm sure inside he's smiling because that was a great short curve.

04:00He should because he's in a battle for the Olympic spot.

04:03And he's got Roman Sadowski, who has been a Canadian title twice, going to be skating later on in this event.

04:10Keegan Messing, as Perdita mentioned, coming back.

04:13This is exactly what this athlete needed right now.
