00:00After the run you've been on, has relief the emotion at the end or how are you feeling?
00:11Happy with the result and with the performance and what I saw today, not only from the players,
00:17but also the support we got from the fans was I think what we needed today.
00:23Maybe we were a bit more on a lucky side now than we've been in the last few weeks.
00:29In my opinion we were also unlucky, so a mistake of their goalkeeper's deflection led to two of our goals.
00:39So these are the margins we are talking about, I think in other games we've created more from open play than we did today.
00:46But yeah, football is about results, not about the chances you create from open play.
00:54In terms of the fans, what did that mean to you personally?
01:04A lot, of course, especially because it happened at 0-0, not when you are leading, not when you are top of the league,
01:12but when you are in a difficult situation as a club, as a team, and because I'm definitely a part of that,
01:18it's also a difficult situation for me.
01:20And then to get the support the players got, but also I got, that is something that makes this club special I think.
01:27They don't forget if you've been part of something special and they help you, especially if things are difficult.
01:36And that's what it was the last few weeks, things were difficult, we were not winning, by the way we were losing.
01:42And so they felt the players, maybe even needed a bit of support, and that's what you get from these fans.
01:51It felt like you had a little bit more control at times tonight, it wasn't quite as frantic.
01:56Did you feel like you controlled the game a little bit more?
01:59Yeah, yeah, like in Frankfurt, and the comparison between these two is that we were twice leading,
02:08and in other games we've always been, not always, but mainly after five minutes we went 1-0 down,
02:13and then you get a completely different game.
02:15So I think now everybody liked it, the way we controlled the game in the end,
02:19and how we were passing and playing through them.
02:21Where if you do the same if you are 3-1 down and it doesn't lead to a chance or a goal,
02:25people are getting a bit annoyed that you don't create a chance.
02:28So you cannot compare a game of football where you're 2-0 up with a game of football where you're 3-1 down,
02:34when it comes to control.
02:36So, yeah, this is, I think, what we prefer to see, being 2-0 up and have a bit more control.
02:45But yeah, if we need goals then we need to be more open,
02:49and as a result of that you sometimes see a counter-attack as well.
02:53Hi Alec, can you just ask about Conor Bradley's performance?
02:56Because I thought he was excellent,
02:58there was some suggestion that Moe's missed Trent a little on the right,
03:02but it seems like that partnership might be developing between the two of them.
03:05Yeah, the more players play together the better it will be.
03:10You cannot compare Trent with Conor, but Conor played an outstanding game like many others.
03:16I think the team performance is what made the difference today.
03:19Everyone was really fighting to get that win over the line,
03:24throwing themselves in front of shots, sprinting back when needed,
03:27being ready for a high press.
03:29So there are a lot of positives today also from individual performances like Conor's.
03:34The challenge for him now will be to make himself ready,
03:39because he's not been used to 90 minutes a lot this season,
03:44and after two days of rest the next one is coming up.
03:48And yeah, so we have to think about that as well.
03:54But for now, your question was, did he play well?
03:56Yes, he played well today.
03:59I've not spoken very honestly on his flash TV interview,
04:04he said he's not being happy with his ball,
04:07but the way he took that goal, that wasn't an easy finish in terms of being on his right foot.
04:12What will that performance come from tonight?
04:15Even getting the 250 goals, that landmark is huge.
04:19Yeah, that's huge.
04:21That's almost unbelievable if you score 250 goals for one club.
04:25If you score 250 goals, it's already unbelievable.
04:28Let alone for one club, you don't see this that much in football anymore.
04:32And I think apart from the goal he scored tonight,
04:37he had a very good performance because when we had to play long,
04:42we played mainly long towards him and he could hold the ball.
04:45So because of that the rest of the team could come to him and we could keep playing.
04:51And what I also liked is that he didn't only did his offensive work really well,
04:56but he helped the team out defensively as well.
04:58I think after he scored the 1-0, he was helping Virgil, I think,
05:02somewhere around the halfway line.
05:04And this is what this combination of things led to the fact that I liked his performance tonight.
05:12And of course it's special for him to score 250.
05:15For him to score is not even that special because that's what we all know he will always do.
05:20The fans have always given you this backing throughout the whole time.
05:29During the run of results, did you ever feel any pressure at all,
05:34other than maybe from yourself, the pressure for yourself to win?
05:39No, I think you always feel pressure if you're at Liverpool,
05:42if you're leading the table with 15 games to go, you feel pressure.
05:48And if you are in a run-off form that we were in, you feel the pressure.
05:51But I've always felt the support of the fans as long as I'm here.
05:56And also in the recent results I have never felt that there was anything less than it was before.
06:05But I think they were there for me, but they were not only there for me,
06:11they were there for the team tonight as well.
06:13I think they were so supportive and that is what can have a big impact
06:17because we've played many away games, so we had poor results.
06:21I'm completely aware of that, but we had to play a lot of away games
06:24where the fans still help us.
06:26But you cannot compare that to a home game under the lights at Anfield.
06:30That's something I would take 10 out of 10 times if I had to play a game of football.
06:37Thank you very much.
