00:00After years of public flogging, Harry Maguire's career is finally getting the respect it deserves.

00:05English football fans should love a grafter.

00:08Maguire earned his place at Manchester United and is labeled as the most expensive defender in the world,

00:12not through reputation, but through rising through the ranks of English football.

00:16With the benefit of hindsight, we can now see that Maguire was the victim of Manchester United's deficiencies

00:21rather than the other way around.

00:23This isn't exactly an environment that has allowed players to blossom over the last decade.

00:27But the world has, seemingly, come to its senses.

00:30A unicorn of a centre-back who, at his best, is as comfortable heading crosses away for 90 minutes

00:35as he is carrying the ball 40 yards, or breaking top corner cameras in a European Championship final.

00:42This is one of England's greatest ever centre-backs who was booed by his own fans for nothing more than being an easy target.

00:48His repeated heroics in 2018 and 2021 seemingly counted for nothing when football meme pages wanted some easy likes.

00:55This isn't a redemption arc.

00:57This is mistreatment being rectified.

00:59Put some respect on Harry's name.
