00:00Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:04Today, we're talking about an extraordinary special collection from Rolls-Royce,
00:08which presents three unique pieces inspired by the more than 1,000-year-old murals from Dunang in China.
00:15These masterpieces were created exclusively as part of the private office Shanghai.
00:21A specially protected point of contact for customers who want highly individual luxury vehicles.
00:26The Phantom Extended Impresses with a two-tone paint finish in Ninja Purple and English White.
00:34The delicate silken spirit motif, inspired by the spirit of ecstasy and flowing silk fabric, can be seen both inside and out.
00:44Inside, there is a hand-painted work of art on black leather, which, with its brush stroke by brush stroke process,
00:50is reminiscent of the technique of Chinese block printing.
00:52The open starlight headliner with over 1,300 points of light completes the atmosphere.
01:00The black badge Kalinan comes in striking dan pink with 23-inch wheels.
01:06The interior combines blushing pink with navy blue,
01:10with over 100,000 precisely placed perforations creating a pattern reminiscent of drifting clouds.
01:15Stainless steel in Taysun with the silken spirit motif and a harmoniously coordinated starry sky round off the design.
01:25The electrified black badge Spectra Coupe in Qing Blue and Diamond Black adds a touch of modern drama with its illuminated radiator grill and cheese accents.
01:33Here too, the silken spirit motif runs through the entire vehicle as a luminous detail,
01:40from the running boards to the headliner with over 1,000 stars.
01:46The model offers an all-electric range of around 500 kilometers.
01:49The price for one of these highly individual works of art is likely to range from around 800,000 to over 1,000,000 euros, depending on the model.
01:59As always, you can find the link to the full article in the video description.
02:05With this phantom gallery, I've been traveling back in time and across cultures, looking at ancient Chinese art murals for inspiration.
02:22Traditional Chinese aesthetic is heavily rooted in symbolism.
02:25Decorative patterns and colors often have implied meanings.
02:29For example, water symbolizes wealth and abundance.
02:32Here falling water represents continuous fortune from heaven.
02:38While the river flowing down uninterrupted into a negative space symbolizes an open future to prosperity.
02:45Technically, this artwork is very much an East meets West creation.
02:50I'm adapting a technique that was also developed in China more recently.
02:54Reduction block printing
02:57The process allows you to print one color at a time in layers using the same printing block,
03:02carving away each color as you go.
03:09Instead of using carved wood, I'm using a tiny sable brush and slowly building the final image one color at a time.
03:16This complicated layering method is just as unforgiving.
03:19I'm leaving tiny unpainted leather parts to create a print block carving illusion.
03:26It's a time consuming process, but I think it really adds value and meaning to the work.
03:30It's been a journey of discovery as I work closely with our designer in Shanghai.
03:42Symbolism and concept have always felt important to me when creating an artwork.
