00:00David Chabwick, Liberal Democrat Spokesperson.
00:03Thank you, Mr Speaker.
00:05During the Second World War, over 200 people were forced to leave their homes and give up their land in the Eppint,
00:13when more than half the community was taken for use by the Ministry of Defence.
00:20And the people of the Eppint understood why that sacrifice had to be made.
00:24But now Bute Energy and their wealthy investment backers want to take the rest of the Eppint.
00:31Does the Secretary of State agree that the Eppint has already sacrificed enough?
00:36And will she work with me to defend the Welsh countryside from once again having its wealth extracted from it with no benefit to local communities?
00:48It sounds like the Liberal Democrats in Wales have the same position as Plaid Cymru.
00:53Our priority is to drive growth, lower bills and create jobs through our new green energy revolution.
00:59And that includes people in his constituency.
01:03Investment in his constituency should be something that he should be welcoming.
01:09Rebecca Smith.
