00:15Um, we tested the Wave 2 mobile air conditioner about 2 years ago, I don't know, and introduced it.
00:20Um, now there's its successor, the Wave 3, and we published a very comprehensive blog article about it a few days ago.
00:32But there were quite a few requests for this blog article asking if I could show you the device from all sides.
00:38And yes, nothing could be easier.

00:49The aim here is to simply show you the device, what it looks like, and what it can do.

01:09The Wave 3 is specifically designed for areas such as apartments and individual rooms where there is no permanently installed air conditioning system
01:16or where one cannot be installed or should not be installed.
01:27I see this device as a mobile solution for camping, so to speak, to create either a warm or a cold camping vehicle.
01:33Because you can't just cool it down, it's an air conditioner, yes, but you can also heat it.
01:44These are two fundamentally important functions that should be mentioned at this point.
01:50Then there's an app for it, which we have here.
01:52You can use it to control the entire device.
01:56For example, activate it here.
02:01Then it starts working.
02:03It has a nice, comprehensive, easy to read display and the attachments here are removable, just like on the Wave 2.
02:09There's a small button at the top.
02:12I've plugged them in here now.
02:13Then of course there are the tubes here.
02:15You can pull them out and shape them and do things.
02:20There's a connection to the window, so that the exhaust air can exit through the window and the cold air can enter the room.
02:27But you can also remove it.
02:29It always depends on where it's installed and how it's installed.
02:33EF Flow doesn't really do a bad job of showing it in the pictures here, right?
02:37That could be a solution.
02:38Of course, it's all relatively extensive, but yeah, it's actually quick to install and the cool thing about it is that you have a completely normal, classic power connection here, that's for sure.
02:53Then you have this wastewater hose here at the back, if I can call it that, where the condensation water flies out or flows out.
03:02And then there's this mobile battery here.
03:05It has a powerful power connection here.
03:08Then there are two rails like this, so the EF Flow is pushed on there and is then transportable with the battery.
03:15It can be charged here, also with solar power.
03:18Otherwise, it can also be charged with electricity, as you know it from EF Flow.
03:23So, I've set it up outside again, simply because I can walk around it a bit better than if it were just standing on the table.

03:38Um, the battery also has a separate display here.
03:43I don't think it's really charged yet.

03:56And something that shouldn't be underestimated is the weight.
04:00As cute as this thing looks now, you can't just lug it up onto the roof of your camper.

04:16It's a bit silly now, but I can tell you, you can logically switch from cooling to heating,
04:25then the different levels in ego mode, in sleep mode, which is particularly quiet.
04:29Then you have all the information here, including when the water tank is full.
04:37It also shows you when it needs to be emptied.
04:41I think that's a very useful function.
04:43And then there's also a pet version.
04:48That means, um, yes, if you leave animals in the camper, for example,
04:53the air conditioning itself recognizes when it needs to start up again, you can turn it off.
04:58Um, yeah, I'm not really a fan of that.
05:01You should never leave animals unattended,
05:03because if something goes wrong here or the battery runs out,
05:06then in the worst case it could mean the end of the animal.
05:08So yes, the function is available, you'll have to decide for yourself in the end.

05:16What does it look like?
05:18A little more information about the technical data.
05:21As I said, you can read everything in detail in the blog post, as always.
05:25But here's a quick recap.
05:27It has a cooling capacity of 1800 watts and a heating capacity of 2000.
05:32Depending on the size of the room,
05:34you can change the temperature by 4 to 5 degrees in 10 minutes.
05:37That's 8 to 9 degrees in 15 minutes.
05:40Of course, it always depends on the room, that's obvious.
05:43And you can't forget about the power consumption.
05:46In cooling mode, it uses 690 watts, which is quite impressive,
05:49and in heating mode, it's 645 watts, which isn't really any less.
05:53The noise level is in the range of 44 to 58 decibels.
05:57Yes, it can be quieter, but oh well, that's just how it is.
06:01So it's best to install it outside,
06:04then route the air supply pipe to the vehicle accordingly,
06:06then it might be a bit more bearable,
06:08but I personally wouldn't necessarily want to sleep with this thing in the room.
06:14Uh, the battery here has a runtime of 75 minutes.
06:18But I think only in combination with a solar panel, I'm not entirely sure.
06:23Of course, it's not long.
06:24Uh, uh, sorry.
06:2875 minutes, a charging time of 75 minutes,
06:31so in combination with electricity and solar panel.
06:34Uh, the runtime is 8 hours.
06:37That could actually be a typical day, let's say.
06:40So, if you switch it on at 10 a.m. in the morning,
06:43then you can get until 5 or 6 p.m. in the afternoon without having to recharge.
06:47Of course, if you have electricity, none of that matters, the thing can run permanently.
06:52Uh, what else is there?
06:55Uh, there's also a dehumidification function, but of course the data varies,
06:59how long does it take and so on and so forth.
07:01Just so you know, it's still there.
07:03Uh, the environmentally friendly R290 is used as the refrigerant.
07:08Um, otherwise the device is IPX4 protected, is IP65 protected.
07:13For me, neither of these are anything that should even come close to standing in the rain.
07:17That's obvious, of course.
07:20And the current price here always depends a bit on the offers.
