Fireworks can frighten animals and sometimes cause injuries to people. Do you think fireworks should only be allowed at organised displays, or should we still be able to set them off at home?

00:00I've got a dog who's particularly panicky around fireworks and my view on them is that they should
00:05be controlled. I've come more and more to that opinion in the last four or five years,
00:10not just for owning a pet but just through living where I live. I've noticed that since the pandemic
00:16you can't come into October now without hearing fireworks and then you're pretty much not going
00:21to hear them stop until middle of January. I think fireworks generally should be in
00:26organised settings due to the hazard risks especially in domestic settings. I think basic
00:33fireworks obviously not the huge noisy things are fine but I do appreciate I'm not a dog owner but
00:41I do appreciate that animals possibly could get a bit frightened. It's not everybody's cup of tea
00:48suddenly banging in the middle of the night but everybody likes to see sparklers and the
00:54and the roman candles and stuff like that so a bit of discretion.
