00:07I want to show you an e-bike from the manufacturer Hercules. It's the Prima E5.
00:14Yes, either a he or a she. Um, yes, it's more or less a retro bike, as you can see.

00:25Um, we've already tried out quite a few e-bikes on our channel, and it's not a given that you can really speak about brand and quality in every area.
00:37But after riding this bike for a week and a half, I can definitely say that.
00:43Um, it's a really cool bike, an absolute eye-catcher, where people turn their heads.
00:48In our country, yes, in the countryside, you have to say, in the city, yes, you see a few weird things, but in our country, yes, in the countryside, that's not so common.
00:58And yes, I was definitely always the eye-catcher, and I was approached twice.

01:42That was quite a surprise here.
01:45It's delivered almost completely assembled in the box.
01:50There's nothing much to assemble.
01:52In my opinion, it's really ready to ride in 5 to 10 minutes, from baking it out to riding it.
01:57Here, I think it was even 70% pre-charge.
02:00You could actually bake it out and go straight away.
02:03Um, I did that too.
02:05Um, exactly.
02:06What can I say?
02:08Well, here we have a really cool headlight.
02:11Even on the right and left with a kind of, how should I say, daytime running light look.
02:15I really like it.
02:17It looks like, well, like on a moped actually.
02:23Um, then there are high handlebars, which are also very, very comfortable to sit on.
02:29That's something I noticed.
02:31You have a very, very positive posture as far as your back is concerned.
02:34So even after a long tour, your back doesn't start to hurt.
02:39Um, yes, because it's nice and high in this area, and the distance to the saddle is, how
02:43should I say, bearable.
02:45Um, that's cool.
02:46You sit really, really well on it.
02:48Then there's a very comfortable saddle, that's for sure.
02:52It's also great.
02:54It's just great to ride.
02:56My longest tour was, I think, four and a half hours with a lunch break in between.
03:00Um, yeah, it worked really well.
03:03You don't get off and have problems with your buttocks.
03:07In my case, that wasn't a problem at all.
03:10As for the essential technical features, I can say that it has the Bosch Performance Line
03:17smart system, a 250 watt battery and, sorry, a 250 watt motor with 75 newtons of torque.
03:23And I was out and about with my, um, older son.
03:33We were both on e-bikes and he had one with, wow, I think it has 85 newtons of torque and
03:38around 750 watts.
03:41Um, it actually didn't make any difference.
03:43That really surprised me.
03:45I wouldn't have expected that at all.
03:46Um, what I also wouldn't have expected, um, it doesn't have suspension and for a moment
03:51that's of course a bit of a problem, especially here in our area, it looks like that everywhere,
03:56right?
03:57We're riding around here, lots of mountains, lots of gravel and yes, unpaved roads and
04:02of course you approach it with a bit less expectation because you'll hear that it doesn't
04:05have suspension, but it never caused the problem.
04:09I think a very, very big part of that is due to the Schwalb wheels.
04:12I think they're 4 inches wide and they work outstandingly.
04:18They provide more than enough damping.
04:21So in my opinion, they definitely compensate for the lack of suspension.
04:26Yes, I got a range of around 50 kilometers.
04:30Again, the comment about our mountain bikes is that you can't take it for granted.
04:36Um, it's a 545 watt hour battery pack and yes, I don't take it for granted here in this
04:42area.
04:42I mostly rode with level 2 to 3.
04:47Um, I use the automatic mode a lot and of course I experimented a bit, right?
04:52You can adjust the settings here, there are different modes that you can click through

04:58Uh, turbo and automatic and tour all the way to eco.
05:02I tried everything out a bit.
05:06Uh, but I basically rode in automatic mode anyway, because it worked really well.
05:10It just always adjusts itself.
05:14Then you have the gears here, right?
05:16It's a Shenano Nexus 5 speed hub gear.
05:19You can see it again here in the back.
05:21It's extremely quiet.
05:22You don't really notice it, and yes, it works really well.
05:25It harmonizes perfectly with the Bosch motor and I really, really enjoyed it.
05:30The brakes also worked really well.
05:34Uh, they're Tektro disc brakes.
05:36They have 180 millimeters, if I remember correctly.
05:40Yes, it even says 180 here, right?
05:43Front and rear.
05:44They were extremely quiet.
05:45We even got caught in the rain once.
05:47It worked really well then too.
05:48No squeaking noises.
05:50That's always a problem.
05:51I know that from other bikes, you can hear that sometimes.
05:54Otherwise, it should be said that the low step through area is of course also suitable
05:58for children.
05:59Here's a very short clip of my little kid riding it.
06:02He's 11 years old and not exactly tall.
06:06He had no problems at all riding it and yes, he liked it and of course I liked it too.
06:12Exactly.
06:13Otherwise, what else is there to say?
06:16It has a maximum load capacity of up to 150 kilogram.
06:21That's pretty impressive, I'd say.
06:24So it's basically suitable for everyone, right?
06:27You can adjust the saddle accordingly.
06:29You sit on it, I'm 180 centimeters tall, I could see it sitting perfectly on it.
06:34My little kid is obviously much smaller.
06:37But it worked for him too.
06:38So yeah, right?
06:39In my opinion, it's suitable for all common sizes and weight types of people.
06:47And just for your information, this is how the bike was packed.
06:50I didn't do anything.
06:51I took it out like this.
06:56I've tested quite a few now, I have to say.
07:00There was a lot of material, let's say, from China.
07:02And of course you're already standing there and you're putting on a light, you're putting
07:07on a mudguard.
07:08Pedals.
07:09Okay, you have to put those on too, but then you have to put in a front wheel, put in the
07:13axle, thread the brakes and so on and so forth.
07:16Especially when it comes to threading the brakes, it's always a bit of a problem for me,
07:19because mistakes can easily happen, then they squeal and so on and so forth.
07:23I don't think it's that simple.
07:24I'm not a complete professional, I'd rather call myself a novice when it comes to bicycles,
07:31and of course this is outstanding, because you put on the pedals, then the handlebars,
07:35and then we'll see what the battery says and then you can ride off, right?
07:40The light is also on, by the way, I think it's outstanding.

07:46Well, if I look at my Toon Simpson now, then it definitely has the worst lamp, I'm pretty
07:52sure of that.
07:55Well, first of all, it looks really cool, and secondly, for a bike, boy oh boy, they've

08:02And without going into the technical details again, just a few impressions that I noticed,

08:09I've already ridden it a few kilometers.
08:11Um, for me it starts with such cool little things, like this beautiful logo, which sits
08:19so beautifully on it, is superbly integrated and I think it wouldn't look any different

08:29Then there's the paintwork, which is really outstanding.

08:41By the way, it's also an ultra comfortable saddle, I have to say.

08:51all high quality, right?
08:55And when you see that from some cheaper manufacturers, you can tell when you turn it and so on.

09:11So, then the ultra cool lamp, I really like it, especially with this, what do you call
