01:08Freightliner engineers have expanded the Detroit Assurance safety package and improved the computing power of the large truck.
01:14New radar sensors for the short and long range as well as optimized cameras contribute to increased safety.
01:23The new Cascadia is equipped with the Active Brake Assist 6A6, Active Lane Assist 2, Louisiana 2, Attentive Driver Protection and Side Guard Assist 2 SGA2 systems.
01:37These systems work together to maximize safety for both the driver and other road users.
01:44Another highlight is the Comfort Brake Function, which is made possible by the Intelligent Braking Control System IBCS.
01:51This function ensures an even distribution of the braking force, reduces wear on the brake pads and controls the braking performance more precisely.
01:59This ensures smooth and safe braking, which significantly extends the service life of the brakes.
02:05In addition, the IBCS includes the endurance braking function, which combines engine braking and service brakes to further increase the service life of the brakes.
02:15A new electric parking brake also prevents the vehicle from rolling away unintentionally.
