00:54The Amarok has been praised by owners and automotive media alike for its powerful and responsive V6 engine and its highly capable on-and-off-road performance.
01:04Their engineers at Walk & Shaw were challenged by Volkswagen to take the design and performance of the V6 Amarok to the next level.
01:12The wall control engineers increased the size of the front and rear dampers.
01:16The spring platform in the front was raised by 20mm.
01:19The W580 runs a new 20x9-inch wheel.
01:25This package is complemented by a larger Pirelli Scorpion ATR tile which gives a perfect balance of all-season tarmac and gravel road performance.
01:35Combine this with a changing wheel offset and you get a more direct steering feel without losing that Volkswagen on center confidence and turning.
01:41Lastly, out the back, a locally developed performance-tuned twin exhaust has been added for maximum impact.
