00:19electric sports sedan segment at the beginning of 2014, and with the comprehensive modernization
00:24at the beginning of 2024, Porsche is going one better. The revised design, increased performance,
00:33extended range and improved charging performance make the tan an even more attractive proposition
00:38for electric car enthusiasts. Porsche has expanded the Tayan family with three new models, which means
00:47that there are now a total of 16 different versions to choose from. This variety includes three body
00:54styles, both all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive, as well as different power levels of the Porsche E
00:59performance engines, which range from 300 to 760 kilowatts. Particularly noteworthy is the new
01:06edition of the Tayan GTS, which follows on from Porsche's successful Gran Turismo sports series.
01:12For the first time, the entry-level sports sedan is now also available with all-wheel drive,
01:18making the model selection wider and more versatile than ever before.
01:21The Tayan and Fay Sport sedan, the new edition of the Tayan GTS and the Tayan GTS Sport Turismo have just
01:29been added. These three new models complete the Tayan portfolio and can now be ordered from Porsche
01:36dealers with deliveries starting in early 2025. Porsche is also offering new exterior colors for all
01:43Tayan models. In the leggings category, slate gray neo and pale blue metallic complete the color
01:51spectrum, while purple sky metallic has now been added to the dreams category. Kevin Geek, head of the model
01:58series at Porsche, emphasizes the versatility of the new Taycan range. With the extremely wide-ranging
02:05Taycan range, we meet a wide range of customer requirements and mobility needs. Our three latest
02:12innovations are exemplary examples of this broad range. The first generation of the Taycan GTS was already
02:19Porsche's sporty, emotional flagship, positioned between the Taycan GTS and the Taycan GTS. The new edition
02:27continues this tradition and expands the range with the Taycan GTS Sport sedan, which combines the high efficiency
02:33of the entry-level model with the superior handling of all-wheel drive. The new Taycan models impress not only with
02:41their modern design, but also with significant technical and equipment-related improvements. Compared
02:48to its predecessor, the Taycan has been further developed in almost every discipline. The performance
02:53has been increased, the range has been extended, acceleration has been optimized, and charging times
02:59have been shortened and made more robust. All Taycan versions now come with more extensive standard
03:06equipment and the latest generation of the Porsche driver experience, which further enhances the driver
03:11experience. The simultaneous increase in performance and efficiency is based on several
03:18technical advances. An advanced powertrain with a new rear axle motor that is up to 80 kilowatts more
03:26powerful than before ensures more power in all models. In addition, the pulse inverter has been modified with
03:33optimized software, more powerful batteries have been integrated, and the thermal concept has been revised.
03:40A next-generation heat pump as well as an adapted recuperation and all-wheel drive strategy also
03:46contribute to the improved performance. Charging at 800-volt DC charging stations is now possible with up to
03:54320 kilowatts, while the maximum recuperation power at high speeds has been increased to up to 400 kilowatts.
04:03The new Taycan GTS is available as a sports sedan and a sports touring model, continuing the tradition
04:10of Porsche GTS models. The abbreviation GTS, which stands for Gran Turismo Sport, has enjoyed great
04:18popularity among Porsche fans since the Porsche 904 Carrera GTS from 1963. As a sporty all-rounder,
04:26the new Taycan GTS impresses with an overboost output of up to 515 kilowatts when using launch control.
04:34That is 75 kilowatts more than the previous model. With the push-to-pass function of the standard sports
04:41chrono package, an additional output of up to 70 kilowatts can be called up for 10 seconds at the push
04:46of a button. The push-to-pass function on the Taycan GTS is particularly sporty, as the torque is
04:54increased to launch control level at low speeds. Similar to the Taycan Turbo GT, the boost is displayed
05:02by a countdown timer in the instrument cluster and visually staged by animated rings in the speedometer.
05:08The Taycan GTS Sport Sedan and the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo reach the 100 kilometers per hour mark from
05:16a standstill in just 3.3 seconds, which represents an improvement of 4 tenths of a second compared to
05:22the previous models. The Sport Sedan only needs 10.4 seconds to sprint from 0 to 200 kilometers per hour.
05:32That is 1.6 seconds less than before. The range has also been increased by over 120 kilometers and is
05:39currently up to 628 kilometers according to the WLTP standard. In order to do justice to the emotional
05:47appeal of the GTS, the model has been given a more distinctive sound profile, similar to that of
05:53the Taycan Turbo S. This acoustic feature sets the GTS apart from other Taycan models and ensures an
05:59unmistakable driving experience. The exterior and interior are also designed independently.
06:05Typical of a GTS are numerous black or anthracite gray details on the exterior.
06:12New compared to the previous model, the Taycan GTS has the sport design bumper and rear lower sections
06:18with high gloss black inserts. The exterior mirrors are also finished in high gloss black.
06:24The standard Taycan Turbo S aero design wheels in 20-inch format and the optional RS
06:31Spyder design wheels in 21-inch format are painted exclusively in anthracite gray on the GTS.
06:39Many materials from the Taycan Turbo GT models have been adopted in the interior to create a sporty
06:44and high-quality atmosphere. The Taycan GTS models are equipped as standard with extended features in
06:51sporty race decks and black smooth leather elements. These include the adaptive sport seats plus with
06:5818-way electric adjustment, the GTI multi-function sport steering wheel with mode switch and steering
07:04wheel heating, and the sport chrono package, which includes the push-to-pass function and circuit mode.
07:11The GT multi-function sport steering wheel is available in black race decks on request, which includes two
07:17mode switches as well as padless controls for the push-to-pass function and recuperation. The optional
07:23GTS interior package is now also available in slate gray Neo in addition to fireplace red.
07:29Taycan GTS lettering is integrated into the instrument cluster, power meter and star graphics.
07:35The Bose surround sound system is fitted as standard and ensures a first-class audio experience.
07:41The GTS specific chassis and optional rear axle steering are tuned for a particularly sporty feel.
07:48The adaptive air suspension including Porsche active suspension management PM is combined with Porsche
07:53torque vectoring plus PTV plus as standard. The active chassis control system Porsche active ride
08:00with GTS specific tuning is available as an option. This ensures an almost perfect connection to the road
08:07in dynamic driving situations by optimally distributing the wheel loads individually for each wheel.
08:13In everyday driving situations, Porsche active ride offers increased ride comfort. Customers who previously
08:22preferred the high efficiency of the entry-level model with all-wheel drive could already find this
08:26combination in the Cross Turismo. Porsche is now also offering such a derivative as a sports sedan. In terms of
08:35performance, the new Taycan 4 is identical to the Taycan. Depending on whether the standard performance battery or the
08:43optional performance battery plus is installed in the underbody, an overboost output of up to 300
08:48kilowatts or 320 kilonewtons when using launch control is achieved. The range naturally depends on the battery
08:57type. With the performance battery, it is up to 559 kilometers, while the take and fear with the
09:04the performance plus battery achieves up to 643 kilometers according to WLTP. This makes both versions the range
09:14champions among all-wheel drive models and is only around 35 kilometers below the values of the corresponding
09:20rear-wheel drive Taycan models. The Taycan fear has an electric motor on the front and rear axle, which, due to its design,
09:30ensures greater driving stability and better traction than the rear-wheel drive Taycan.
09:36This is also reflected in the acceleration values.
09:40The Taycan 4 needs exactly four and a half seconds to sprint from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour and is therefore
09:4620 seconds faster than its rear-wheel drive brother despite weighing 80 kilograms more.
09:54Porsche has continuously improved the all-wheel drive strategy over the course of the model cycle,
09:59which also benefits the new Taycan 4. Efficiency is the focus of these optimizations,
10:04which means that the front-eye motor is electrically decoupled whenever traction,
10:08driving dynamics and driving stability allow it.
10:14If required, it switches back on within milliseconds, for example when accelerating or recuperating.
10:20On the exterior, the Taycan 4's extensive standard equipment includes 19-inch Taycan AeroWare wheels,
10:28black brake calipers, and matrix LED headlights.
10:33Porsche traction management PTM and adaptive air suspension with Porsche active suspension
10:38and managed via ISM are also fitted as standard.
10:43Inside, the Taycan 4 offers comfort seats in the front with eight-way electric adjustment,
10:48black partial leather upholstery, the dark silver accent package, a leather multifunction sport steering wheel,
10:54brushed aluminum door sill guards in silver, and the sound package plus.
11:00The partial leather upholstery is also optionally available in slate gray and in a bicolor version in black and lime beige.
