00:07people and also to uphold democracy and the constitution of India.

00:13The Election Commission of India has a bounden duty to ensure that all steps are taken, to

00:21ensure that there is free and fair elections in the country.

00:23SIR is a part of that, but if any particular political party has got objections to it

00:30or complaints about it, that is most welcome.

00:33This is a democracy where dissent is welcome, protest is welcome.

00:38What is required is the balance should be arrived at within the framework of the constitution

00:42and also within the dictates of democracy.

00:45We are a mature and robust democracy, we will be able to sort out such issues, difference

00:50of opinion can be sorted out and what we are all aiming at, both the ruling party and

00:54the opposition and the election commission is free and fair election.

00:58Our aim is the same, there can be objections that can be sorted out because there are checks

01:04and balances built in within the constitution of India.
