00:00BlackBerry has praised Malaysia for setting a new standard for sovereign secure communications at scale

00:06using two of the Canadian company's technologies at the ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur.

00:12BlackBerry CEO John Giamatteo said the ASEAN Main Logistics Secretariat will continue to use BlackBerry's AdHoc and SecuSuite

00:20for the 47th ASEAN Summit from October 26 to October 28.

00:24AdHoc is a critical event management platform combining secure emergency notifications with incident response tools

00:32to enable real-time mobile coordination across agencies.

00:37SecuSuite, a NATO-certified military-grade secure voice and messaging solution,

00:42protects sensitive conversations from interception and espionage-targeting mobile communications.

00:48Giamatteo said that as ASEAN Chair,

00:50Malaysia is setting a new benchmark for sovereign secure communications at scale

00:55supported by BlackBerry's military-grade systems in government operations.

01:00During the 46th Summit, 100 liaison officers used AdHoc for secure, location-based alerts and coordinate operations

01:07and this will expand to 150 officers equipped with AdHoc and SecuSuite for the 47th Summit.

01:14Secretariat Chief Raja Saifo Rizwan Raja Kamarudin noted that around 80% of interagency communications

01:21are now secured with BlackBerry providing encrypted and efficient coordination tools.
