00:00Mom knew without question that something was up, so she took her daughter to urgent care.
00:30I'm like, oh, a possible burn? I'm like, oh, whatever it is. No, but that's a burn. That is. That's not bad. It's bad.
00:36You can see the redness down in here. The skin has swollen the top of her little toe, so we have an absence of a cup refill. So this is a 10 out of 10 pain.
00:46Initially, the daycare claimed to know nothing about her child's injury.
00:50I asked the daycare worker, I'm like, what? What happened to her foot? Why does her foot look like this?
00:54And she's like, well, I don't know. I'm not sure. And I'm like, well, somebody needs to let me know something because her foot wasn't like this when I jumped her off.
01:02And she was like, well, I just got here. I'm not sure.
01:05Somebody was lying, and they knew what happened to her.
01:08Back at the hospital, the doctors discuss the healing process for True's wound.
01:13It's really taut. I don't know how it was yesterday, but there's a really, really good chance that this is going to, it's going to pop.
01:21Yeah. And a lot of times, once you give the antibiotics and you're getting help to heal it, you're going to see it turn a little bit more red, and then it will pop.
01:31It will be painless when it does. But you'll definitely see this saturated in like a yellow discharge, okay?
01:39Mom struggles with the daycare workers not accepting responsibility. She just wants to know what happened to her daughter.
01:45Still didn't get any answers on that Monday, but I did call in, follow the police report. I contacted the CBS, licensing. I called the wrong front lawyers.
01:53And the doctors have theories for how they think the burn occurred.
01:56It looks like it goes through the toe. And so it's almost like she stepped in something.
02:03And typically, when we see this presentation, it'll be like a scalded water burn or a splash. So like a splash of something came at her.
02:12Sometimes we'll see it with a chemical burn, like if they step in pure bleach.
02:15But her parents have a theory, too.
02:18I don't know that they can have like a stove or something, and they probably was only trying to cook.
02:23That's also another, that's actually a great hypothesis. That's very accurate. If they were holding her like this, and then her toe, that actually is probably a little bit more accurate than the asshole.
02:31That's what I say. It's something like this.
02:33If they have a stove, I would definitely make sure you have videos of what was going on during that.
02:38Mom is not going to stop until she gets the answers her daughter deserves.
02:42The fact that you left early. The fact that I asked you for the footage several times and you never took it to me.
02:46The fact that you closed the daycare that Monday, the fact that you never came out to meet me, and the fact that you never contacted me, lets me know that something happened, something sketchy was going on, and like, something happened.
