00:20Hegseth's behavior doesn't stop there,
00:22as he's also been accused of firing Pentagon officials
00:24for speaking to the media and congressional staffers.
00:28After President Donald Trump signed an executive order
00:30changing the Defense Department to the Department of War as a secondary title,

00:48The other insider claimed Hegseth has seemed anxious
00:50following conservative activist Charlie Kirk's September death,
00:54describing the cabinet member as rattled and panicked.
00:57Hegseth has faced backlash over many of his decisions since stepping into his role,

01:27he previously announced a new dress code for the military,
01:30with the goal of refining standards of grooming and appearance for service members.
01:34In March, he used the Signal app to discuss military plans,
01:38which led to sensitive information being leaked after he revealed details of impending airstrikes,
01:43including aircraft types, missiles, launch times, and more.
01:46In October, Hegseth enacted a media plan for the Pentagon imposing restrictive new rules on journalists,
01:53sparking widespread backlash from numerous news organizations,
01:56who've declined to agree to terms they say violate the First Amendment.
02:00Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has remained in Hegseth's corner,
02:04insisting he's doing a great job.
