00:00White House withdraws nominations after Senators' decision.
00:04Oh, you thought the biggest headache this week was the Schumer shutdown circus?
00:08Turns out the real heartburn came from inside the House,
00:11specifically from the so-called Republicans in the Senate
00:14who never miss a chance to stab their own party in the back with a steak knife labeled bipartisanship.
00:20Why?
00:21Because two GOP Senators decided they couldn't be bothered to even meet with him.
00:26Yes, that would be Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins.
00:29E.J. Antony's entire crime seems to be that he's a conservative economist
00:33who doesn't buy into the Bidenomics fantasy land where gas is $7 a gallon,
00:38groceries are up 30%, but somehow everything's just fine.
00:42Murkowski and Collins, practically honorary Lincoln Project members,
00:46refuse to even grant a hearing.
00:47No meeting, no courage.
00:49Murkowski's been hinting at flipping parties since September.
00:52As for Hung Kao's nomination for Undersecretary of the Navy,
00:56she voted no before and yes this time.
00:58So, congratulations, I guess.
01:01It's a pattern, the constant failure to back their party when it matters.
01:04On key nominations, they fold every time.
01:08Tillis caters to donors like a yoga instructor and melatonin Mitch just drifts off as the country burns.
01:14Back to Antony's statement, because honestly, it was a masterclass in professionalism and clarity.
01:20He laid out exactly why his nomination mattered, to reform a broken bureaucracy, demand transparency and restore trust in economic reporting.
01:29It's maddening.
01:30It's predictable.
01:31And it's exactly why the D.C. swamp never drains.
01:34It means it just changes filters.
01:35Antony's out.
01:37Hung Kao barely squeaked by.
01:39And two Republican senators just reminded us, once again, that when the chips are down,
01:43they're more interested in media approval and Georgetown cocktail invites than doing the job they were elected to do.
01:49If this is what moderation looks like, we'll pass.
01:53The American people want backbone, not backstabbing.
01:56Honestly, who'd even notice the difference at this point?
