00:00I don't like you, Donald Trump lashes out at Australian ambassador after learning.
00:05He once called the president a village idiot.
00:09According to a report, shortly after Trump and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese
00:14signed a deal over rare minerals on Monday, October 20th, the former was asked about remarks
00:20by Albanese's ambassador to the US, Kevin Rudd.
00:23When Sky News Australia asked Trump about Rudd's negative past comments, which included
00:28him calling the POTUS a village idiot, he replied, I don't know anything about him.
00:33If he said something bad, maybe he'd like to apologize.
00:37Albanese pointed to Rudd as Trump looked across the table.
00:40I don't like you either, and I probably never will, the commander-in-chief spat back, prompting
00:45laughter from around the room.
00:47Another report revealed that after the meeting concluded, Trump told Rudd, all is forgiven.
00:53Foreign Minister Penny Wong dismissed concerns about the interaction, calling it lighthearted
00:57and tongue-in-cheek, noting the laughter heard.
01:01Penny Wong praised the meeting's success and credited Rudd's contributions to AUKUS, the
01:05submarines, and the critical minerals deal.
01:08Rudd's original attack on Trump came a few years ago, when he called him the most destructive
01:13president in history, among other insults.
01:16Trump later called Rudd nasty.
01:19Rudd deleted the remarks from his website and social media, stating it was to avoid misinterpretation
01:24in his role as ambassador, and affirming his commitment to the U.S.-Australia alliance.
