00:00Princess Anne sheds rare light on royal family.
00:04Princess Anne shared a small glimpse into her life as a grandmother.
00:07During a visit to the Naval Children's Charity,
00:10the usually private royal made a rare comment about her four granddaughters.
00:14As Princess Anne greeted people involved with the organization,
00:17a patron handed her a child-size apron.
00:20I don't think that's going to fit me. It might fit my granddaughters.
00:24They all cook, actually, she said of her four female grandchildren,
00:27daughter Zara Tindall's offspring, Nia and Lena,
00:31and son Peter Phillips' daughters, Savannah and Isla.
00:35Princess Anne typically does not speak about her family in public.
00:38However, her son, Peter Phillips,
00:41once revealed that she relishes spending time with her grandchildren.
00:44She loves seeing them ride horses.
00:46She loves having them round for Sunday lunches and taking them for walks,
00:50doing all the things that we would do as kids.
00:52The businessman said in the 2020 ITV documentary,
00:56Anne, the Princess Royal, at 70.
00:59According to Princess Anne's daughter, Zara Tindall,
01:02although the Princess Royal is the hardest working member of the royal family,
01:06the 75-year-old often takes time to babysit her grandchildren.
01:10We quite like leaving them on Sundays.
01:12We'll say, we'll pick them up later. Bye.
01:14The Olympic equestrian said in the 2020 documentary about her mother.
01:18Unlike her brother, King Charles III,
01:21Princess Anne kept her children out of the spotlight
01:23by refraining from giving them official roles within the royal family.
01:27From my point of view,
01:28I was obviously very lucky that my mother didn't give us any titles.
01:31So I really commend her on that, Zara Tindall once said.
01:35We were very lucky that we got to figure out our lives a bit our own way.
01:39My family has a great work ethic as well,
01:41which I'm hoping they instilled in me
01:42and is still going to this day.
01:44We'll see you next time.
