00:05once called the president a village idiot.
00:08Donald Trump sat across from Kevin Rudd when he dissed him.
00:13According to a report, shortly after Trump and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese
00:18signed a deal over rare minerals on Monday, October 20th, he was asked about remarks by
00:23Albanese's ambassador to the US, Kevin Rudd.
00:27When Sky News Australia asked Trump about Rudd's negative past comments, which included
00:31him calling the POTUS a village idiot, he replied, I don't know anything about him.
00:37If he said something bad, maybe he'd like to apologize.
00:41Albanese pointed to Rudd as Trump looked across the table.
00:44I don't like you either, and I probably never will, the commander-in-chief spat back, prompting
00:48laughter from around the room.
00:50Another report revealed that after the meeting concluded, Trump told Rudd, all is forgiven.
00:56Foreign Minister Penny Wong dismissed concerns about the interaction, calling it lighthearted
01:00and tongue-in-cheek, noting the laughter heard.
01:03She praised the meeting's success and credited Rudd's contributions to AUKUS, the submarines,
01:08and the critical minerals deal.

01:14Among other insults, Trump later called Rudd nasty.
