00:17gateways into full smart home automation. With SmartThings built into Samsung Smart TVs,
00:23you can control lights, locks, thermostats, and security systems directly from your TV screen
00:29or iPhone or iPad. This eliminates the need for multiple hubs and enhances the home automation
00:36experience. Most 2023 and newer Samsung TVs like Neo QLED and OLED include SmartThings hub functionality,
00:44allowing wireless connection with thousands of devices. Before set up, ensure a compatible
00:50Samsung TV model, an iPhone or iPad with iOS 16 or later, a free SmartThings account,
00:57and a dual-band Wi-Fi network. To connect and control your smart home using a Samsung TV and
01:03iPhone, start by installing the SmartThings app from the App Store, signing in with your Samsung
01:08account, and allowing permissions for Bluetooth, local network, and notifications. Turn on your
01:15Samsung TV, connect it to Wi-Fi, and in the SmartThings app, tap Add Device, then choose TV,

01:49following on-screen pairing steps. You can then control these devices directly from your TV's
01:55SmartThings dashboard. Create scenes like movie night to dim lights, set the TV input, adjust temperature,
02:02and lock doors or automations that trigger actions based on time or activity. SmartThings also supports
02:09voice assistants, Bixby, Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri shortcuts. So you can control devices
02:15hands-free, for example, by saying, Hey Siri, it's movie time, to activate your movie night scene.
