A much-loved Christmas film is set to take on new life in Brecon this December, as Scrooge (1951), starring Alastair Sim, will be screened at Theatr Brycheiniog with its original score performed live. The one-night-only performance, Scrooge Live, takes place on Thursday, December 11 at 7:30pm, with music performed by the FB Pocket Orchestra. The show forms part of a 16-date UK tour that brings the festive classic to audiences in a completely new way.

01:00After the film's release in 1951, the studio threw away the orchestral sheet music, as was the custom of the time.
01:11Paul Stevenson, arranger and musical director of the FB Pocket Orchestra, has painstakingly transcribed Richard Adensel's score and rebuilt it line by line.
01:22And now, for the very first time, it will be performed live in concert.
