00:13:34at this stage, coming off last week's Battle Royal, meeting up in Southern California.

00:13:39As he spoke to McDonough a little while ago about that, I asked him, you know, when

00:13:43you were coming through the ranks on the independent scene in Ireland, of course, you looked up

00:13:48to the two big names, Finn Balor and Sheamus, and McDonough said, yeah, Finn Balor reached

00:13:53out a hand to me, Finn Balor trained me, Finn Balor is practically my brother at this point,

00:14:00and that is why I show him so much loyalty.

00:16:38be dealt with right now well these two from judgment day turfed out sheamus illegally in this battle all

00:16:45after they had been eliminated and obviously an irate sheamus who wanted to book his ticket to

00:16:51saturday night's main event on the shot of the world overweight championship now wants his pound of flesh

00:16:58from his fellow irishman oh that's that's pretty much the first pound taken apparently

00:17:05he wants a bit more i mean how about the echo of that body shot going up to the third level here at

00:17:11the honda center and back that echo oh god when adam pierce said who's gonna fight sheamus tonight out of

00:17:18you two finn baller backed off a rather gung-ho jd mcdonough said yeah no problem i'll fight him

00:17:26well guess what jd mcdonough welcome to a fight with sheamus and that is why finn baller backed off

00:17:35so quickly jd mcdonough has never been in a ring with sheamus before now he's got a little taste of that

00:17:40he might back off too next time adam pierce starts looking for volunteers yeah in about 15 seconds he found

00:17:47out 15. and this just looks like a mismatch at this point but of course finn baller is as tough

00:17:54excuse me jd mcdonough is as tough as they come he's a hell of a mover but just the size and aggression

00:18:01of sheamus augmented by the fact he's highly irate of being turfed out of the battle royal illegally last

00:18:09week finn's eyes there said it all finn looks frozen in fear and who can blame it

00:19:18this industry from ireland but in very very different ways clearly do not like one another

00:19:28jd able to trip him up and go up and over and corkscrew over the top rope and right into the cover

00:19:33hooking the leg of sheamus and barely a count of one it'd be hard to believe but jd mcdonough once

00:19:39upon a time in his nxt days was a high-flying fan favorite still has those skills but he's added

00:19:46to them by virtue of his alignment with the judgment end is now even more vicious than ever

00:19:52makes him a highly cunning and dangerous competitor and undeniably tough oh god oh here we go why not

00:20:01they're gonna love it here in california oh but the 10 beats of the bodron interrupted by finn

00:20:09there that's put himself in the power how about a double clothesline off the apron

00:20:17how good is that by sheamus and this sellout crowd is loving it double clothesline by the big guy

00:21:22for jd mcdonough to take control against all odds i might add oh look at sheamus limping

00:21:30as he was twisting that left knee oh now he's working it this is exactly what mcdonough does best

00:21:36he finds the target he finds the smallest advantage oh and he twists it down to the side as well such a high

00:21:44iq and he is now being merciless in his attacks on sheamus full-time world champion sheamus

00:21:55being rendered completely obsolete in that ring now by highly aggressive and inventive jd mcdonough

00:22:06when sheamus starts pulling hair and going for eyes you know he must be in agony sheamus going as

00:22:11as low as he can referee is wise to it just a permanence to any shot sheamus gets on you

00:22:22you'll never quite forget it

00:22:41sheamus thought he had things in control with that jump off the apron and double clothesline

00:22:58to take out both jd mcdonough and finn balor but it has been the constant attack to the left leg of

00:23:04sheamus by jd mcdonough that has defined the majority of this match weight well mcdonough's been really smart

00:23:11he's waiting for finn balor on several occasions to open up a little distraction

00:23:15and the second that has happened jd mcdonough has pounced and made it count which is the crucial part

00:23:22really softened up that left leg and ankle of sheamus started with the knee work downwards from there

00:23:29keeping sheamus down is a very very difficult prospect as jd mcdonough is finding out

00:23:36but he has been relentless with these attacks

00:23:40of course judgment day trying to long term put themselves in position for the tag team

00:23:45championships but right now business to be dealt with after last week's battle royal when sheamus was

00:23:51eliminated by mcdonough and finn balor mcdonough stepped to this challenge that general manager adam

00:23:58pierce wanted to see the fight jd mcdonough has put up and at the oh dangerous landing there for

00:24:05both men but smartly jd mcdonough managing to cling onto a rope at some point you can save himself

00:24:12on that left leg sheamus limping out on the floor and now oh the moonsault from mcdonough just

00:24:20picked up perfect moonsault there from jd mcdonough after that boot to the chest

00:24:26reminiscent of robbie keenan ex-la galaxy player from ireland

00:24:30and now perhaps going in for the kill is jd mcdonough

00:24:43just so much range in jd mcdonough and this is as good as it gets and you think about jd mcdonough's

00:24:51buddy at this point punishment it's absorbed still pulling off high risk aerial offense like

00:24:59that even the punishment of putting forth the offense he has shown tonight not just what he's

00:25:05taken not just what he's absorbed but what he has been doing in attacking sheamus has taken

00:25:11something out of him as well look at the welts on the body of jd mcdonough he's glowing red from

00:25:16head to toe that certainly ain't a sunburn it's a lot more painful than that you want to test

00:25:23the punch and kick resistance of sheamus you want to know if he can withstand it when he looks at you

00:25:29and says come on keep kicking me in the exactly slapping me in the face more more i've been there

00:25:35before that's right here right there place one here now what a psychopath

00:25:42and what that does to an opponent mentally you can't hurt me that's the message jd now realizes

00:25:55and those waltz are just growing by the second

00:26:04and that back of jd mcdonough smashing right into the knee of sheamus

00:26:11sheamus just loves being in the trenches on a monday night

00:26:17doesn't quite feel himself until he's tasted his own blood he tried to line up 10 beats to the

00:28:44out on the floor finn and sheamus on kim's has the shillelagh in his hand now the major major

00:28:52major equalizer the shillelagh that sheamus oh pop knee sheamus simply too quick for battle there

00:30:15what a wild wild conclusion wade what a war that was and i criticized jd mcdonough earlier said he

00:30:24had the gung-ho approach but that paid off because that has to be the biggest singles victory of mcdonough's

00:30:32career when it looked like sheamus had the match one here with a high cross finn baller's intervention

00:30:38prevented it being a three down and just went along like balor had been dealt with no he had not

00:30:45bouncing back with his shillelagh to the spine of sheamus and then this incredible spanish fly

00:30:53against the 280 pound competitor in sheamus from the top rope got mcdonough a massive massive win that

00:31:02i don't think anybody was anticipating what a performance incredible performance

00:31:11the spanish fly and the victory jd mcdonough

00:31:20let's change base a little here take you back to last week a women's intercontinental championship

00:31:26match was maxine dupree taking on the champ becky lynch and astoundingly maxine dupree completely

00:31:35dominating an out of sorts lynch maxine was closing in on victory becky lynch trying everything she could

00:31:43manage to cling on to that championship becky lynch looked like a beaten woman but then becky lynch

00:31:51snap got herself disqualified with that shot from the title and then launch

00:31:56a vicious beatdown of maxine this is what the top level is all about

00:32:06you earned it two wins over one of the best that ever do it which by the way she needed a

00:32:10weak offer for what happened last week regardless of that two wins over the women's intercontinental

00:32:15champion means the third time can be a charm right and you earned it so when am i making it
