00:10As of March 2024, around 117,000 students have been granted UK visas,

00:16but those numbers might change soon.

00:19The University of Southampton is setting up its first place in India

00:23with the Delhi NCR campus set to deliver premier education, research, knowledge exchange

00:30and enterprise activity in the country.

00:33Professor Andrew Atherton, Vice President International and Engagement, stated,

00:39the campus will be the same as all other University of Southampton campuses

00:43in terms of experience, activities and status.

00:48Moreover, India's higher education regulator, the University Grants Commission,

00:53also known as UGC, has confirmed that the first academic session will likely begin in July 2025

01:01and the campus will hire faculty from both India and abroad.
