00:09Jennifer Aniston has long faced media intrusion into her personal life. Now in

00:14a new interview she calls it out and clarifies her story. She revisits her

00:182016 op-ed about not having children and reflects on fabricated rumors and why

00:23speaking up mattered. The morning show icon has been under a microscope in the

00:27media for nearly 30 years. Speculation about whether she would have children

00:32grew from friends-fueled expectations to claim she didn't want to have children

00:36or was a workaholic. In 2016 she answered with an op-ed for the Huffington Post

00:41about fertility and parenthood. For the record, I am not pregnant. What I am

00:46is fed up, saying she felt complete with or without children. They didn't know my

00:51story or what I'd been going through over the past 20 years to try to pursue a

00:55family because I don't go out there and tell them my medical woes, she recently

00:59told Harper's Bazaar. That's not anybody's business.

01:03While speaking with Harper's Bazaar, she said she wrote for other women navigating

01:07fertility and IVF to show she is human and because the rumors hurt.

01:12It does affect me. I'm just a human being. We're all human beings.

01:16That's why I thought, what the hell? So it did feel like it was not only for myself,

01:22but for any women who were struggling with the same issue, she added.

01:26She also hinted at IVF struggles when responding to Vice President J.D. Vance's viral remark,

01:31calling Democratic women a bunch of childless cat ladies with miserable lives.

01:36I truly can't believe that this is coming from a potential VP of the United States,

01:40she wrote in an Instagram story. I hope she will not need to turn to IVF as a second option,

01:46because you are trying to take that away from her too. For now, she appears to be taking things

01:51day by day, nurturing a new relationship with reported boyfriend Jim Curtis and telling her

01:55story on her terms.
