00:11While promoting her upcoming episode, Melissa told a show that she hopes any reconciliation
00:15with Teresa Giudice, her husband Joe Gorga's sister, will be off-camera.
00:20Melissa explained that their relationship has always been dominated by reality TV.
00:24We've never had the opportunity to have anything private, so I'm going to keep that part private
00:28for now.
00:29She added that she wants any progress to be genuine and real, something they've never
00:33had the chance to do.
00:35Melissa's comments come after Teresa Giudice recently expressed her intention to be open
00:39about reconciling with her brother and sister-in-law.
00:41As for Joe Gorga, he confirmed in an interview this month that he and Teresa have reconnected
00:46via text.
00:47Prior to these developments, Teresa's relationship with the Gorga family had deteriorated over
00:51several seasons of R-H-O-N-J.
00:54Tensions reached a boiling point point at the end of season 14, leading to a split among
00:58the cast and contributing to the show's lengthy production hiatus as producers worked out

01:02Melissa insists she never wanted things to get this bad, saying she's always been a
01:06family supporter and wants the best for Joe.
01:09Still, the mother of three admits that the thought of reconciliation after years of conflict
01:13sometimes leaves her feeling shocked.
01:15She said, I just keep thinking I can never do it.
01:18I don't know how any of this is happening, but it's happening.
01:22As for whether she and Giudice will ever appear together on screen again when R-H-O-N-J resumes
01:26filming, Melissa stressed that it's the producer's decision.
01:29She insisted that her motivation for reconciliation has nothing to do with television, but rather
01:34with her children.
01:35I'm doing this for a bigger reason, Melissa said.
01:38I'm willing to move on and try anything, but to show my children that this is not the
01:42way to live, this is not normal.
01:44She hopes her children can rekindle their bond with Giudice's daughters.
01:47This needs to be fixed, Melissa concluded.
01:50If something happens, people need to be able to talk to each other.
