A paradise for swimmers, the large island of Okinawa is a Japanese island located in the south of the country. It is no coincidence that this island, with its emerald sea and white sandy beaches, is home to the highest number of healthy people, as well as being the birthplace of karate. Karate is an ancient Japanese martial art, effective both for stress management and combat. Over the years, karate has spread worldwide and has successfully become part of the exclusive circle of Olympic disciplines.
The origins of this art are uncertain, as techniques were traditionally passed down orally rather than in writing. Over time, these techniques were developed and refined by various masters in Okinawa’s dojos. Surrounded by legends, this martial art is an integral part of the identity of the paradisiacal Okinawa archipelago.
