00:00Hi there, typical October weather this week, chopping and changing each day, a mix of bright
00:05spells, showers and longer spells of rain at times, along with a blustery wind.
00:10We saw northerlies during the weekend, it was cold in many places.
00:13The lower is responsible, that's moving away.
00:16We keep the northerlies for the north and northeast of Scotland, where it will continue
00:20to be very showery.
00:22The showers elsewhere tend to fade, just the odd one there for central and eastern parts
00:25of England.
00:26Elsewhere, the showers disappear for a time before the next system pushes rain back into
00:30Northern Ireland, West Wales and Cornwall by the middle of the afternoon.
00:35As the winds switch, temperatures recover towards average for the south and south-west, but
00:40it stays chilly towards the northeast and east of the UK.
00:45Nevertheless, the showers in the northeast tend to move away as the next band of prolonged
00:51rain moves in from the west.
00:53That does sweep through fairly quickly, it brings some snow to upland Scotland.
00:56Before, further showers replace it by the end of the night.
00:59Clear spells in between, particularly for Northern Ireland, parts of Wales, the Midlands, eastern
01:03England, where we get the clear spells.
01:05Mid to high single figures, a bit of a chill in the air first thing Tuesday, but nothing
01:10particularly cold.
01:12And we start off Tuesday with a real mixed bag across the UK.
01:15We've got plenty of showers into Scotland, Northern England, Northern Ireland, again some
01:20upland snow for Scotland.
01:22And further showers for the south of England, perhaps some more prolonged rain coming along
01:26later.
01:27But in between, plenty of sunshine, particularly through Wales, the Midlands, eastern England.
01:31And with the winds more of a southwesterly, it's going to be less cold compared with the
01:36weekend.
01:3716 Celsius in the south, 12 to 13 for many other places.
01:41Then we're going to Tuesday evening with those showers continuing, a blustery wind for Western
01:46Scotland, Northern Ireland as well in particular.
01:48And those showers are becoming more prolonged, heavier at times as well.
01:52We've got this more prolonged area of rain towards the south to watch out for.
01:56And going into Wednesday, well, it's another similar picture with areas of showers, more
02:02long rain at times as well.
02:03Bye bye.
02:04Bye bye.
