00:00And then, Doc, just of, I don't know if it's a similar situation,
00:05but I would say a muddier QB injury, Minnesota's J.J. McCarthy,
00:11where, you know, I feel as if, I'll say this,
00:17sixscore.com has been the best place to go for analysis on J.J. McCarthy's injury, Doc.
00:24Okay, so here's what we do at Sports Injury Central.
00:27We do not pretend to know all, but what we do differently
00:32is we do not do what Schefter does, who I love.
00:37We do not do what the beat reporters and national reporters do,
00:41which is injury reporting.
00:43They take a source and they report it, and that often does very well,
00:49but you have to consider the source.
00:51We don't take sources.
00:52We don't do injury reporting.
00:54We do injury analysis.
00:57And with our own eyes, ears, and what we see.
01:00From the get-go, we never thought J.J. McCarthy's high ankle sprain
01:06was a severe type, warranting four-week IR or anything like that.
01:11That's what we have based it off of.
01:13I have never criticized Kevin O'Connell, who I know well and love
01:18and think he's brilliant.
01:19I think he did the smart thing by giving his young quarterback a chance
01:24to not get worse and play through an ankle and even, you know, ruin his confidence.
01:30And guess what?
01:30Put his team in the best chance to win.
01:32I never said J.J. McCarthy is not injured, okay?
01:35If I told you a number of times Phillip Rivers, a jersey right here behind me,
01:39played injured but still played, it'd be ridiculous.
01:4285% is a good week in week eight of the NFL.
01:45He just felt that with J.J. McCarthy's injury, I'm not saying they faked an injury,
01:50that it was best if he didn't play through right now.
01:54It's a smart decision.
01:56I'm not saying J.J. McCarthy is soft and not injured.
01:59We all saw him jump and avoid Justin Jefferson, right, at the thing.
02:03And look, he's been the emergency quarterback for two weeks,
02:05which means he's been medically cleared to put on a uniform and play.
02:08He's playing this next week.
02:11Controversy over.
02:12And is he 100% this week?
02:14Next week?
02:15Probably not, but neither is anyone else, but he's in the 90s.
02:19Doc, let's dive into the 1 o'clock games.
02:23You have a significant six score right here.
02:25Houston 84, San Francisco 68.
02:30The Niners enter this battle beat up on both sides of the football.
02:34No question.
02:35They came into the game beat up last week, and they're more beat up now,
02:39but they pulled off a victory.
02:41I mean, Shanahan's doing it with mirrors.
02:43Can he do it again?
02:44I get it.
02:45Houston's got wide receiver issues, and Houston hasn't been playing well.
02:49You know, what we do at Sports Injury Central, we blind ourselves to the team names.
02:53We look at the injury stuff and try and work it out.
02:56By health, it's Houston all the way.
02:59Another game by health is New Orleans all the way against Tampa.
03:02Now, I get it, Spencer Rattler versus, you know, Baker Mayfield.
03:08But that's what the injuries say, and that's what we try and go by.
