00:00But the cool part is, if you actually pay attention, everybody in the end won.
00:03What do you mean?
00:05Well, yes, she could have bought them back and that could have been part of the victory,
00:09but I choose to think her team maybe didn't tell her.
00:11But we ended up, when they turned it down, we ended up selling it to someone else
00:17because she didn't want us to have it.
00:19We did very well in that sale because we bought it at a really great price
00:22and the value masters went up.
00:25And the thesis when I sold it was she had announced she was going to do re-records.
00:30And if you understand music, the value went up for masters
00:35because Spotify and streamers created a longer decay than buying just CDs.
00:41So it's like people would listen to them more.
00:42So there's a longer decay, but it's still decaying.
00:44But when she re-records, all ships rise in a world of streaming.
00:48So people were going on and they were A-B-ing them.
00:50They were listening to see how much they sounded like.
00:52So she did incredibly well and basically had the biggest moment of her career,
00:57reinvigorating her career with each one.
00:59It was brilliant on her part.
